Most would call Millicent a more methodical competitor, setting her own pace in the match and avoiding a rush. But the redhead would call herself anything but methodical - and certainly not slow. The German only appeared to rely on such a patient pace because she knew the precise moment when a move would prove most effective. That difference could be seconds apart, moves apart. Even as she hit the mat, the redhead could have attended to her spine, focused on herself, but that could be saved for when she had Alyssa on the ground with her. Her legs easily proved up to the challenge of dropping her sparring partner, and with that done, Millicent could check the bottom of her spine after the landing - once they resided on even ground.
Her mind worked more rapidly than most, she knew, so what seemed like an overabundance of caution and patience to many worked like a game of chess in her head. If she needed to work quickly, she could. But she did not often need to, sparing herself the stamina she needed to call on for the latter parts of the match - as she wished to do even in this spar. Alyssa appeared to think Millie would go straight back on the offensive; the woman's leg shot out. But Millicent saw no point in launching back onto the offensive, and the kick only caught her in one tit, almost sending it out of her top but otherwise sparing her from any pain.
The empress twisted her mouth, amused. "You have great instincts. But I do not wrestle like most," she explained, and as she saw Alyssa rising to her feet, she did the same, stretching out her back and giving the woman something to look at from the front of her all the while. Effectively in the midst of a fresh reset of the spar, Millie dropped into her stance again, though this time, knowing already that Alyssa would wait for her, she darted forward and feinted an attempt to go for the doctor's waist before shifting lower, trying to hook a leg and simply throw her onto her back.
