Random thought I had, re: PPVs.
AFW has it's major PPVs in the summer and the winter, right? LAW should schedule it's major PPVs for Spring and Autumn, then. That way, the members who post on both sites and are involved with PPVs on both sites don't have to stress out about finishing PPV matches in two places at once.
(That also means that if we schedule our first PPV for next spring, that gives us a little less than a year to get everything on the site up and running and stable, and to build our user base up enough to really be able to support a good PPV.)

I recognize that adjusting our timing for events and PPV's to suit users coming from AFW might be advantageous the members we currently have, but at the same time I'd like to recognize that AFW is a separate entity from us. And that we shouldn't have to plan around anything that they currently have set in place.
That being said, I do like the plan you've described. It would give us plenty time to adequately prepare and if I were a normal user of this site rather than the admin, I'd be leaning towards it. A few people have reached out to me about wanting to do a PPV and getting around to things of nature (introducing a title or two, putting together events, and so on). In light of this, I'd like to try and get a PPV going in a few months, preferably before the end of the year and before AFW's winter PPV. In the time leading up until that, I encourage people to continue getting their characters established and using the Special Events section for their character's milestone matches/moments so that most can be ready if we ultimately decide to go that route and have a PPV and/or introduce some titles in a few months.

Schedule for a mid-Autumn PPV, then. I'd say start of October?
That way there's plenty of time for our AFW users to be done with Summer Splash, it's not starting too close to Avalanche, and at the same time it gives us time on LAW to get things and characters built up.

I'm down with that idea. I just need a way to check the general consensus and see if that aligns with what everyone would like to do. I was thinking that if people would prefer to do something sooner than mid-Autumn, maybe we could do a thing where people put together "qualifier matches" so their characters can sort of "earn" their spot on the card for the actual ppv.
I dunno, we'll hopefully hash out the details and get a fair number of people, hopefully most everyone who's active, to weigh in on all this stuff. Ultimately, I'd like to make these decisions with everyone in mind. Though I'm very thankful to you for bringing this up in this thread. It's an important topic that I'd like discussed and planned for sooner rather than later.

I personally still think we should be waiting longer before doing any major PPVs (after all, AFW took several years before it had the first Summer Splash), but if everyone else is pushing for it, then around October seems like the best and least-conflicting time to me.
Hopefully the others will chime in.

To be honest, I was hoping the Special Events section would suffice for a while before we began full on PPV's. I thought tournaments and other such events where we crown inaugural champs could go there, too, until we had a small title scene going.
Nothing's set in stone yet. I'd like to give people what they want, but if the best choice ends up being holding off until we get other things out of the way, I will. I just don't want to make that call without having heard from at least a fair number of people.

Special events and the likes will work but suggest we try and have a ppv say near the end of the year.

I'm not sure if I regret it, but I spent the time I'd normally use to post over the weekend designing a belt for the Middleweight Championship, which I've posted here:

If people could give me feedback, I'd really appreciate it. I'm not the best artist, and this took me a pretty decent amount of time. I hope it's usable/presentable for the board.

I think it looks great, I'm glad you took time on it. Just thought I should mention that in the post itself you left in a colour tag though.
