Good. Set, then. Aaliyah had been fishing for someone to make her official debut with, and from what she’d seen, Blaise was a top-tier candidate. Good enough to give her a real challenge, but not the type to cheat her or call for backup, so she didn’t have to worry about starting beefs straight out of the gate. She hadn't planned on doing mixed matches so soon, but screw it. He was about average-sized for a guy. There were certainly bigger women she could’ve been put up against.

”I will make no such promise. That’s just the risk you gotta take.” She shook her head and stepped out on the apron, then hopped down. ”And sure, I’ll meet you in the back to rap about it after you clean up, no problem. Iron out a few details and we’re good to go.”

Aaliyah threw him a quick wink and proceed to saunter up the ramp, putting about 20% more swing into her hip than usual with every step. Give him a little show.

"Hey, if we're talking about getting a little more time with ya? Think Meemaw's wrath might be worth the risk," Blaise quips to Aaliyah in finality. It's flirty and he knows it. But of the two of them, Aaliyah definitely seems the more chill, the more pleasant. She has a cool style. He's down with her relaxed demeanor, and he's enjoyed the jokey side of her, too. The girl has wit, without the unnecessary bite. He likes that. All this is aside the point that he'd stand by his word before, being she does have a nice face. And also the unspoken bit about her abs. Because, damn.

She dropped down from the ring apron, and Blaise leans forward to fold his arms over the top rope, the very image of casual observation. That sway to her hips doesn't go unnoticed - neither by him, nor the audience. And after he's aware the cameras have shifted from her and back to him, he gives the lens a look, then pantomimes tugging his collar. Viewers get it. Hoo-boy.

Afterwards, he finally tugs the top rope inwards and vaults himself smoothly up and over, only to hop on down to the ramp. He makes his way towards the exit, smiling and pointing out a few enthusiastic fans, doling out the fistbumps, and hitting high-fives along the way.

Match of the year? No, perhaps not. But it was a great little demonstration to the audience. A momentum match. And he's glad to've had it.
