Not so Friendly: Cecilia Lombard vs Anastasia Akira

Ana had a big smile on her face as she held out her hand for Cecilia to shake. "Well, yeah, I figured that we both had a good match against one another... "I was showing that I did enough to keep you down for the three count, but you did shock me when you kicked me out, you know, but that just shows how bad ass you are," she says as she starts to ramble in awe of the other woman who defeated her in the match.

Seeing as her hand is not shaken, she would pull it back and give Cecilia a small smack on the shoulder before walking to the ring ropes. "I hope we get to have a rematch again; you know, I see you around and I hope you keep winning because I want a winning streak of my own when I take you on again," she says before sliding out of the ring and leaving, going up the ramp.

Even when Ana had her hand extended toward Cecilia, she could only watch her with an eyebrow raised in bewilderment. After the brutal match they had been through, with both of them unloading the full brunt of their ruthless aggression on one another, it seemed almost ridiculous to think that Ana still had it in her to end things on friendly terms. Cecilia certainly wasn't used to any of her opponents feeling this way toward her, Apex or otherwise. If she was in a match, she was in it to win, and she couldn't care less about what her opponents thought or what she had to do to them to get her way. Usually, that only led to scorn and disgust from her foes. But Ana was, if anything...impressed.

Cecilia didn't know what to think at first. She never thought she'd see the day where someone was actually congratulating her on demolishing them in the ring. But when she heard Ana call her badass, even she had to shoot her a smirk. "Heh...I guess I am. And you weren't half bad yourself," she added, thinking back to the toughness the idol had shown far beyond her appearances. If she could respect Cecilia, Cecilia could respect her all the same. This feeling might not have been familiar, she thought, but it was...nice. Maybe there was something to not seeing everyone around you as competition.

Then again, as Cecilia was quick to remind herself, this was Apex. This was all about the competition. Cecilia was here for one reason - she was out to prove she was worthy of holding the greatest prize LAW had to offer. If there could only be one Openweight Champion, she wasn't about to let that honor pass to anyone else, no matter what she felt about them. She nodded her head to Ana's offer of a rematch - but even still, she remained on her guard, her back straight and her arms crossed as she watched Ana leave the ring. For all she might have respected Cecilia, as long as they were both after the title, they couldn't truly be friends. No one could...
