Molly Forster [D] vs. Mika Yuriko

It had come down to this. With two bodies hurtling towards one another, arms held out to make impact, it would only be a matter of time before the two met. And with a loud crack echoing through the arena, it was over almost as quickly as it started.

With her chest taking a forearm from Mika at the same time she hit her own, Molly went skidding backwards. She was still on her feet, but winded and bent at her knees, as one hand reached up to clutch her chest at the point of impact. She looked back up, however, to see how Mika had reacted - because she didn't have any intentions to stay stunned for long. If Mika was still up, she hoped to throw herself forward to tackle her with a spear. If she was on her back, however, Molly would take the riskier measure of landing on her with a splash to go for a pin attempt.

Mika herself stumbled back, and nearly managed to fall over from the force of Molly's stiff clothesline, but somehow the lightweight was able to just keep on her feet even if she had been a bit shaky.

But that would be the least of her problems, as the pain of the blow to her chest was a secondary worry as Molly charged Mika like a mad bull and before Mika had a chance to react or dodge her eyes widened and she felt Molly drive her shoulder into her gut as she struck with a devastating spear that drove her back first to the canvas.

"GAH!" Mika coughed out as she laid limp on the ground; panting a bit and her limps laid out as she seemed primed for a pinning opportunity from the powerful and sudden move.

As she gathered herself to look back at her opponent, Molly was a bit surprised to see that Mika was still standing, her eyes widening in surprise. After coming at her from the ropes, she was sure she would be flattened - but it would seem that Mika's counter with a clothesline of her own managed to shield herself from taking too much damage, for better or worse.

But her eyes then narrowed. Even if Mika wasn't downed, this was still something Molly could take advantage of - if she was standing, she would be right in position for her to absorb the impact of a spear! And as Molly leaped forward, driving her body hard and headlong into Mika's stomach, the two of them crashed back down to the canvas, with Molly taking the top position as she lay over the other girl. It wasn't hard for her to see that this was an opportunity she could use - and she quickly pushed herself up to slide forward towards Mika's shoulders, using her knees to hold them down in a schoolgirl pin! It was a pretty simple move, but Molly figured it would do. In the rush of adrenaline she felt so soon after taking Mika down, she didn't see how anything could possibly go wrong.

"One!"

And Mika was left prone for the moment, groaning on the canvas as she shifted her head a bit when Molly moved up for her schoolgirl pin which only caused her to groan louder as her head lolled while she stirred only slightly in response as the spear left her momentarily weak.

"Two!"

Mika groaned a bit, beginning to stir as while Molly had the schoolgirl pin locked in it had left certain parts of her body...such as her legs, ones she used to kick up with as she became aware of her position as she used the momentum to try and shift her shoulder even in this pinning predicament she was in.

Thr...!"

And she does, just getting the shoulder up.

"Shoulder is up! Shoulder is up! Two!" The referee called making the count and official two count and Mika having escaped defeat by the skin of her teeth; her resiliency shinning through.

Molly had gone for such a pinning maneuver for a number of reasons. It was easy enough to do, and from her current position she could slide right into it. The fact that such a technique also had its disadvantages hadn't quite crossed her mind. But it didn't seem to matter either way, as she had her shoulders down and the referee was counting. Molly began to smile wider the more the count went on, sure that she could pull through in this! There was the two, and the thr-

But at the last minute, Mika exploited the weaknesses of Molly's position, kicking up a leg and slipping up her shoulder as Molly slid back in place! Molly gasped at the sight, denied her victory even when it appeared so close! In her surprise, she went rolling off of Mika, dropping away from her neck and ending up on her side on the canvas beside her.

Even if Mika managed to avoid a defeat, she was still panting a bit as she tried to recover from the effects of the spear which made any attempt to move away a sluggish one as she on instinct rolled to the side to gain distance from Molly. Though the spear seemed to do more than weaken the lightweight momentarily as she crawled along the canvas.

"D-darn it....can't believe I allowed the new girl to...drive through us..." Mika, or rather Trinity who had taken over muttered under her breath as she moved to try and use the ropes to stand up. No one would have heard that comment least of all Molly but irregardless of that or the fact the personalities shifted Mika remained prone for the moment.

Molly was most definitely unaware of the change that came over Mika once again. She didn't hear what she said, and even if she did, she had barely enough experience with Mika to tell the difference between her two personas, let alone to know what they signified or what she could expect from them. That naivete was guiding her actions now, as Molly crept closer towards Mika. Seeing that the girl was still downed, she assumed she had a chance to strike now that she'd recollected herself.

"Now take this!" Molly cried out, sliding across the canvas on her knees to close the distance to her opponent. She then reached for her leg, going to pull back on it with an ankle lock as she jumped to her feet.

Trinity had little time to mount any kind of defense and had not even been made aware of Molly sliding to her until it had been too late. As she felt Molly grasp at her ankle and pull back as she worked to successfully apply an ankle lock that already brought the pain on the split-personality wrestler.

"GAH! OW! L-LET GO! Let go now!" Mika called out as her body and the Trinity persona felt the pain as she scratched and clawed at the canvas; thrashing about as she tried to squirm or work her way to the ropes. The referee had been right there of course to check Mika to see if she wanted to submit.

Now Mika looked like she was beginning to panic, and Molly felt the confidence swell in her. She was really having an impact now! She felt like if she kept things up at this rate, victory could be within her grasp. Molly began to smirk wider, and her heart beat faster in her chest. This was it!

She saw Mika try to crawl away from her, but this only steeled Molly's determination to follow through, as she clenched her own teeth. "Oh no you don't!" Molly barked in a threat. Holding tightly to Mika's leg, she leaned back further, going to yank back even harder on her leg - both to inflict more damage, and hopefully to stall her in her attempts at escape, but also in the hopes she might be able to control Mika's movements and keep her off the ropes.

Just as Mika's fingertips neared the ropes, Molly managed to pull her back closer to the center of the ring away from her main salvation. Though even if it had been clear could not reach the ropes that had not stopped the Trinity persona from making a desperation case heard.

"AGH! Ref I was on the rope make her let go!"

"No, your fingers were not on the rope. No rope break."

The Trinity's complaints to the referee fell on deaf ears, as she thrashed about struggling and clawing at the canvas to try and gain some, any ground at all while she struggled to hold on feeling the pain of the ankle lock grow all the more. However, she had refused to quit even with this and began to thrash and kick her leg out to try and worm or wiggle her way out of this; whatever she could to try and escape this vice-like lock Molly had.
