The Longest Climb: Maria Tempesta vs Momo Kazan

Maria nearly dropped to one knee after effectively planting Momo into the corner like that. That had taken a lot more out of her than she would have liked to admit, especially given how her leg was hurting. Still, this had given her some much-needed breathing room...breathing room that she quickly erased by stepping after Momo, as her mouth wanted to do something else entirely.

"Awww, that hurt?" Maria purred, grabbing a hold of Momo's hair to yank her upright. "Here, lemme make it better then." With that, she would lean in and enclose her lips against Momo's pulling the other girl into her for a deep, passionate kiss, her tongue darting playfully with her opponent's. The crowd erupted into cheers and applause at this, the tension of the match momentarily forgotten in the face of two pretty girls making out.

This was, of course, all a distraction: midway through the kiss, Maria would suddenly pull her head back and drive a knee up into Momo's midsection, before yanking on her hair and breaking into a running leap, aiming to smash Momo face-first into the mat with a bulldog!

Unfortunately for Momo she was not given time to catch her breath as Maria would stomp over and forcefully grab her by the hair, prompting a pained grunt from the brunette as she was forced to look up at the taller woman "Nngh... what are y-" Not only was Momo not allowed to catch her breath, but Maria was actually out to take even more of it as she clamped her lips onto Momo's to force her into a deep kiss "Mmmmmph!!!!" Momo's face turned a deep shade of red as the Mexican's tongue invaded her mouth, she planted her hands on Maria's hip and shoulder to try and push her away, only to find that the push had no power. She moaned weakly into the kiss, and before she knew it she was leaning her body into Maria's and kissing her back, having forgotten the match in the heat of the moment.

Fortunately Maria was kind enough to remind Momo to keep her head in the game, as just when things were getting good the heel would break the kiss and snap Momo back to reality by driving a knee right into her abs! "GUH!" Momo gasped out weakly as her body bent over Maria's knee, then before she could even think of recovering in time she would suddenly get forced to stumble into an awkward run that ended with her head being driven into the mat with a Bulldog! Momo's face bounced off the mat as she dropped limply onto her front, and for a moment it looked like she had been knocked out completely! Thankfully she would stir a few moments later, though she couldn't find the strength within her to get up just yet, instead she just drooled onto the mat and groaned "I thought we had something special..."

Maria squirmed and thrashed at first, pushing desperately away at Maria. At first. After the first few seconds, though, she felt the other girl moan into her mouth, and then Momo was practically leaning into her, allowing Maria's tongue to play with hers. If Maria was honest, she would have loved nothing more than to let the kiss linger, to have more fun with Momo as she locked lips with the cute Japanese girl.

But she had a match to win-- a point that she emphathized with a hammering knee to the gut, a vicious bulldog...and then, a second later, Momo was sprawled on her front, barely moving. Maria casually brushed her hair back, hearing the crowd booing her-- not just for her vicious heel tactics, but a few, no doubt, also because Maria interrupted a perfectly good girl on girl kiss.

Turning down to face Momo as she moaned a complaint, Maria teasingly blew a kiss down at her. "No reason we can't have something special later on, chica," she said with a teasing wink. "But right now, I have a match to win." And with that, Maria hobbled over towards the ladder and began to set it upright again, determined to make the climb to grab the bag and win this match while Maria was down...

With Maria's kiss completely dominating her attention Momo would be taken off guard when the heel broke it up with a knee to the gut, hurting more than Momo's feelings as the girl was bent over from the force of the strike, putting her in position for Maria to grab her head and lead her away from the corner for a Bulldog! Momo groaned as she was left laying on her front at Maria's feet, too stunned from the Bulldog to give Maria's teasing comments a witty retort, though even with her head swimming in pain she still made a point to remember what she'd said for later.

As Momo watched Maria walk off to go and claim the prize she would slowly climb up to her hands and knees, the task of holding her own bodyweight was starting to become a difficult one thanks to the bumps and bruises she'd been taking throughout this bout. Momo knew deep down that if she didn't beat Maria to the bag that she would lose for sure; it wouldn't be enough to just knock Maria off the ladder again, this was her last chance to win. So Momo would bide her time, crawling over to the nearest ropes and using them to pull herself up while keeping an eye on Maria's progress, she didn't make a move just yet and would instead wait until Maria was almost at the top of the ladder.

"Ikuzo!"

Summoning up the last vestiges of her adrenaline Momo would make a mad dash for the ladder and would start climbing up from the same side as Maria. Even with her injured leg Momo was a skilled climber, at her best she could ascend a wall almost as fast as she could run on flat ground, and she would quickly catch up to Maria on the rung below hers "Buenos dias!" While the element of surprise was still on her side Momo would try to wrap her arms around Maria's waist from behind, then she would hook her legs around the ladder rung before throwing herself back, attempting to throw Maria back with her in a Spider Suplex that would see the heel falling down to the middle of the ring while Momo hung upside down from the ladder.

Up and up Maria went, step by step, doing her best to ignore the lingering pain in her leg. She as going a lot more slowly than she would have liked, slow enough that the climb felt like more of a labour than it had to be. But she was almost there, she knew. As she reached the top of the ladder, she grinned as she reached up towards the bag and...

...and then felt Momo's arms wrap around her waist.

"Hostia!" Maria gasped. She had been so focused on the climb that she had not noticed Momo clambering up after her. She tried to throw an elbow back at the Japanese girl, but she was too late: the two of them went tumbling backwards, and Momo only had a brief amount of time to realize what was happening before her back and shoulder slammed against the mat. Her entire body jolted from the impact, and she flopped over onto her front, moaning in pain.

The entire audience burst into excited roaring at this point, as Momo made a devastating comeback in this match.

With a whoop of exhilaration Momo would toss Maria off the ladder with a Spider Suplex, sending her crashing down onto the mat and leaving nothing between Momo and victory. Momo would sit back up so that she was facing the rungs again and would start pulling herself the rest of the way up the ladder. Once at the top she would take one last look down at Maria to make sure she hadn't hurt the heel too badly, then she would grab the prize and yank it off of the cord hanging it from the ceiling. With that the bell would ring and she would officially be declared the winner of the match to thunderous applause!

"Shishishi!"

Seeing the babyface of the match pull off such an upset drove the crowd wild, prompting massive cheers from the audience as Momo sat atop the ladder and started shaking the bag about with a huge grin on her face. Momo may not be as overly competitive as most other women in LAW, in fact sometimes it seemed as if she didn't care about winning at all, but damn if it didn't feel good to make an arena full of people so happy just by doing something she loved! So Momo would start waving at her fans with a rosy-cheeked grin, taking a few moments to soak in their cheers before she would hold the bag up high to get their attention. Once the cheering settled down somewhat Momo would reach inside the bag and pull out her prize!

The audience was practically shaking the stands with how excited they were. After what had been a tense match with a lot of (literal) ups and downs, with a classic matchup between a babyface and a heel, and said babyface being on the defensive for much of it, Momo had finally come out on top. Many in the audience were giving a standing ovation to Momo, who had achieved a fantastic end to a fantastic match.

And now, of course, came the prize. The Japanese fighter reached into the bag and pulled out...

...a large, plastic card, done in gold, with fancy lettering inscribed on it.

"Momo Kazan," the announcer boomed, "you have won this ladder match! And for your prize, you have won GOLD MEMBERSHIP to the official LAW gym! Complete with relaxation room privileges, spa access, and even your own personalized locker!"

The crowd burst into tentative applause at that point. Tentative, because, truth to be told, a lot of them had been expecting something more...impressive.

After doing her part in drumming up hype for the big moment Momo would pull her prize out of the bag and reveal... a card... and a familiar looking one at that "W-weh!?!" Momo looked around in confusion as the announcer declared her the winner and confirmed that her prize was exactly what she thought it was; a Gold Membership card for LAW gyms... a card that she already owned "Is-isn't this supposed to have like... a cash prize? Or give me a title shot?" Momo would ask aloud, heard by no one atop the ladder. Then with a shrug she would hold the card up high and show it off to the audience one more time before making her way down the ladder.

With her underwhelming prize out of the way Momo would step back down to the mat and make her way over to the downed form of her opponent, offering Maria a hand up "Well I bet you're fine with not winning now, huh? Come on, let's get you to a doctor" Normally Momo wouldn't be doing all of this, but she felt responsible for hurting Maria's leg and so would offer the heel her shoulder, if she wanted it.

Lying on her front, Maria had been dimly aware of the fact that she had lost: she hard heard the bell ring, had heard the audience burst into cheers. All throughout this, though, she had been too hurt to move: that bad had stunned her pretty badly, and for a minute, all she could do was lie facedown against the mat, kicking her leg weakly every once in a while as she tried to build up the energy to move.

She had lost anyway: it's not like the audience cared for her too much anyway.

Slowly, though, Maria began the painful process of peeling herself off the mat. Her head was swimming, her back was throbbing with pain, and her hair was a mess...and all throughout it, she heard the announcer declare Momo's prize.

A gym membership? Seriously? If Maria hadn't been hurting so much, she would have burst into cackling laughter at that point.

As Maria pushed herself up to her knees, though, she saw Momo approaching her, extending a hand to her. An eyebrow raised under her mask. Seriously? After all of the dirty moves Maria had thrown at her, all her efforts to humiliate her, and, well...forcing a kiss on her, this girl was still willing to help her up?

Gingerly, Maria accepted Momo's hand. "Th...thanks," she said, allowing Maria to help. Her up. "But...did I hear that right? You got a card? JUST a damn card?" She visibly tried to suppress her laughter with one hand as she stumbled to her feet. "Is it at least the one with sauna access?"

Momo smiled brightly as Maria took her hand, pulling the Mexican up to her feet with a groan of effort as she questioned if Momo's prize was really as lame as it sounded "Yep, just a card! I've already got a Gold Membership!" Momo grumbled in frustration, slinging Maria's arm over her shoulder to support the Heel "If I knew what I was fighting for I would have just let you win" she huffed, starting to make her way out of the ring with Maria in tow. As they slowly clambered up the ramp Momo would use her free hand to wave at the fans as she passed them by, beaming at them before turning back to Maria as the two of them disappeared backstage "Yep, you get unlimited sauna trips. Do you want it?"
