L.A.W. - League of Anime Wrestling

Freed Carina fell to the sand. While she had managed to stun Yuna, the latter had weakened her with the brutal bearhug. The young blonde breathing heavily hear some of the crowd’s jeers for her headbutt and the red’s countdown. Knowing she had only limited time Carina attempted to splash her bigger rival.

“Seven!”

The only thing keeping Yuna up now was how she had fallen against the side of the ring apron, her head still sore from the collision with Carina's own. Yuna felt like she was swimming in her daze, and she had to shake herself in a frantic effort to get herself back into the game. Soon, though, her own weight got the better of her, and her own legs couldn't support herself any further. She slumped down before flopping on her back into the sand, causing a puff of it to go up around her.

Now that Yuna was down, though, Carina had the floor to herself. She'd have to act fast, but she had the time! And she ran in towards Yuna, jumping up into the air and spreading herself out to land atop her...

"Eight!"

Only for Yuna to suddenly spring to her feet, holding her arms up catch Carina as she plummeted towards her! Gritting her teeth, Yuna shouldered her weight, attempting to lift the blonde over her head and use the force of her push upwards to hurl her over the ropes and back into the ring in a gorilla press!

For a moment Carina believed her splash will succeed. That feeling disappeared as soon as Yuna spring to life. Instantly the young blond was caught by her brunette rival. Wide eyed Carina was subsequently lifted up over Yuna’s head and hurled back over the ropes.

“SHIT!” The former heiress exclaimed just before she crashed into the canvas on her back. Groaning she laid on her left side. The fans looked on with awe as it all happened. Many were rendered speechless at the display of strength.

“Nine!”

With Carina going over the ropes and into the ring, the crowd was astounded by such a display of strength courtesy of Yuna. However, the brunette hardly had any time to celebrate, much as she normally liked to play to the crowd. The clock was ticking, and all would be for naught if sh didn't get in the ring soon! Just before the referee count count ten, Yuna ran towards the ring, grabbing onto the ropes and using them in a slingshot-like motion to throw her back inside.

"My..." Yuna said, huffing and brushing herself off. "Almost got me there! But not quite..." She winked to Carina, but regardless, Yuna would need a moment to breathe. She rested back against the ropes to catch her breath. As hard as she could hit, she was still growing older, and she didn't want to take her chances. She could only pull off so many moves like this without exerting herself.

Laying there Carina felt the ring shake as Yuna jumped back into the ring. Despite the soreness she forced herself to look up at the other wrestler who was quick to comment on her efforts with a wink. Honestly Carina didn’t know if it to be flattered or offended. However, Yuna had sustained damage and exhaustion as well judging by the way she now leaned on the ropes for support.

Damn, we messed each other up. But I got the worst of it.

Even so Carina refused to just stay down and let Yuna claim victory just yet. Closing her eyes and gritting her teeth once again the Californian attempted to sit up. Immediate pain spiked all over the young woman’s body as she slowly lifted herself higher. Meanwhile the ref slide back into the ring.

Yuna needed a moment to catch her breath after pushing herself so hard, but at the same time, she knew that the match was far from over. She would need to get back into the game, and when she did she was prepared to give it her all. Slowly but surely, she took in some breaths, straightening herself back onto her feet. One hand went to rub at her back, and she stretched for a brief moment, brushing hair out of her face. Then, though, she shot a wink and a smile back at the crowd. She had to remind them she still had this, after all!

Once she felt she was back in the game, Yuna turned back toward Carina, moving in closer. She began to lower herself, getting in a stance. "You really give me a run for my money, hon," she said, "but rest assured, I'm not going down yet!"

“Bring it on!” Carina answered defiantly. Despite her claim the younger wrestler knew she was in trouble due to the all damage she was feeling right now. Ricci finally managed to get to her feet, looking up at the advancing Yuna.

Acting out impulsively Carina attempted to hit her larger rival with a hip attack to the gut.

"Oh, I will!" Carina was a feisty one; Yuna liked that in her. It meant that this match was going to be an interesting one indeed. However, that same impulsiveness, she knew, could well prove Carina's downfall, especially when Yuna had time to prepare and ready her next move.

Such was the case now, as Carina tried to strike out with a hip attack as Yuna closed in on her. It nearly hit - but, having kept her eye on the blonde, Yuna was able to anticipate her next move, and, as she came closing in, she suddenly jerked to the side as Carina's hip swung out at her to dodge the blow, leaving her to only hit the air. "Taking a page out of my book now, I see?" Yuna teased, chuckling to Carina. "I should be impressed...but allow me to show you how it's done!" Getting back within range of her foe, Yuna attempted now to strike back with a hip thrust of her own.

Carina cursed her own recklessness as Yuna dodged out of the way. Teased by her rival the blonde turned around but only to be hit the counter hip strike. “Ugh!” The sheer force of the blow sent Carina toward the ropes.

Rebounding from the ropes the Californian flew back to the awaiting Yuna.

Standing back and surveying her handiwork, Yuna chuckled to herself as Carina went back from her, sailing into the ropes off the rebound of her hip strike. It was almost too perfect, seeing her be undone by her own impatience, as she charged right into a trap.

However, the true irony of the situation was yet to dawn - as next it was Yuna's turn to be cut low by her arrogance. As she stood there gloating, Yuna wasn't getting out of the way as Carina was sent back into the ropes, and then forward again - and only when she opened her eyes to see the blonde coming charging toward her did she realize how she'd put herself in the line of danger. She gasped, but it was already too late - before Yuna could get out of the way, Carina slammed into her, sending her skidding backward.

With the discrepancy in size between the two wrestlers, Yuna didn't go down then and there. But she was shaken, and she did go stumbling back from the force of the impact, going to one knee.
