Onigashima vs. The SoCal Connection - Ogre Invasion!

While Ashley's attack did hit her, Yukari's retaliation worked and Ashley was doubling over before her after taking the toe kick to her belly. Shaking her head, Yukari would try to take advantage of this by bringing up both her hands together, clasping them both before bringing them both onto the back of her opponent's head, hitting her with a double axe handle, hoping that Ashley would fall onto the mat, chest first, from the attack.

If the attack worked, Yukari would stand over Ashley, taking a few seconds to get rid of the headache that she was experiencing so that she could focus on continuing her momentum. Meanwhile, her partner, Shizuka, would be cheering for her at their corner.

Still being winded from taking a blow to her gut, Ash wouldn't have time to recover from her staggered state with enough time to spare to dodge the axe handle currently aimed straight at her back. Just as she was starting to get up, she took the blow straight to her spine, letting out a cough as she dropped back down to the mat, her chin striking the canvas with a thud that sent her teeth chattering for a moment. When Ashley began to straighten herself, rubbing her sore jaw, she looked back towards Yukari with a glare, vowing silently to get back at her.

Luckily for Ashley, Yukari seemed to be pausing for a few seconds before she followed up on her attack - and those were a few seconds that Ash could use to her advantage. As she picked herself back up, she suddenly lunged for Yukari's legs, trying to trip her up with a takedown!

Sending Ashley down onto the mat with the double axe handle, Yukari would take this opportunity to catch her breath and regain her bearing, but the pause gave her opponent an opportunity to catch her off-guard by lunging at her after picking herself up, tripping her down onto the mat with a takedown.

"Wuahhh!!!"

Yukari squealed when she lost her footing, and as a result, her back hit the mat, and the back of her skull also smashed against the canvas. Grimacing in pain, she was left vulnerable before her opponent, but at the very least, she would try to discourage Ashley from taking advantage of her while she was down by kicking her legs at her.

Just as Ash had hoped for, the tables had been turned! With her throwing herself forward, the redhead had been able to tackle her opponent straight off her feet, and in that moment where she was stunned, she would be wide open to follow-up attacks. Just as Ashley would like it, she remarked to herself with a grin. "Yeah, that's better..." she said.

Yukari tried to counter Ashley's position by flinging her legs at her with a few kicks, but Ash was a step ahead of her, and she managed to outmanuever her blows. By the time Yukari's legs were flying, Ash was already moving herself up further, going to secure her position over Yukari's chest. If she could get there, she planned on throwing a series of mounted punches for her face!

Taken down onto the mat after being tackled by Ashley, Yukari's back was on the mat. She tried kicking at her opponent, but Ashley had already moved up onto her chest before she started hitting her with a series of mounted punches.

"Guhh!! Aughh!! Anghh!!" Yukari cried out in pain as she was hit by Ashley's fists. She would try to block the punches, but she was unable to keep those punches from hitting her. The punches left her weakened before her opponent, and she was unable to fight back for the time being.

Each punch landed with a thud into Yukari's face, and with the sensation of her opponent's body buckling under her continued assault, Ashley's spirit was swelling deeper inside of her. Yukari, for all her bluster and presentation, wasn't so tough - at least, that was what she thought, on dishing out such damage to her. She could do this! She just needed to keep this up...

Encouraged by the success she was having thus far, Ash started to throw her punches harder and faster. Eventually, though, she figured Yukari was being softened up enough for a change in her tactics to be effective - and she turned herself over, hoping she could flip herself around on top of Yukari swiftly enough to get in a headscissor!

Taking punch after punch from Ashley, Yukari was in deep trouble and she needed to do something in order to prevent herself from being overpowered by her opponent. Soon, Ashley stopped hitting her with her punches before she shifted her position before she tried to trap the blue ogre into a headscissor.

Knowing that she would be doomed if she ended up in a headscissor, Yukari would try to act fast. Despite her throbbing head thanks to all the punches she received from Ashley earlier, she would bring her hands right next to her head, one at each side before Ashley could wrap her legs around her head. From there, she would try to stop Ashley from trapping her in the headscissor as she would grunt out in exertion, pulling her head out before she was properly locked in.

If successful, Yukari would quickly move back, trying to distance herself from her opponent in order to recover. She might be able to escape the hold, but she needed to regain her bearing after taking all those punches from earlier.

Ashley was sure she had this squarely in her favor. She spun around to position her legs by Yukari's head, already smiling to herself as she anticipated clamping them down to inflict pressure against her temples...but she was surprised to find Yukari bring up her hands to catch her in the act, holding her thighs back from securing on their intended target. She gasped, her mouth hanging open in surprise when she found herself halted in place. And the next thing she knew, Yukari had rolled out from underneath her!

As Ash picked herself up onto her knees, she looked across the ring to see Yukari staying back, avoiding the action for now. Ash, on the other hand, wasn't having that. She still had her wits about her, and she wasn't going to leave unfinished business behind. "Oh no you don't!" she shouted, coming charging in after Yukari with a clothesline!

Successfully escaping Ashley's attempt to put her into a headscissor, Yukari would move back, distancing herself from her opponent so that she could recover. But she knew that her opponent wouldn't leave her be, so she would be prepared for what Ashley would throw at her next. Grunting, the blue ogre would rise back up onto her feet, only to see Ashley closing in with one arm extended, seemingly looking to hit her with a clothesline.

Despite her condition, Yukari would try to duck under the clothesline, avoiding it. From there, she would try to catch Ashley from behind, looking to wrap her arms around her midsection before clasping her hands together. She would try to lock her in a waist lock from behind as she would try to muster her effort to throw Ashley over with a German suplex!

Yukari looked weary, but Ashley certainly wasn't. So far she had been keeping up well enough with the match, and she still had energy to spare. Energy she was fully prepared to use against her opponent, as she closed in with a clothesline to try and take advantage of the blue girl's downed state. She smirked to herself, confident that she had things secured - but Yukari surprised her, as her charge only ended up throwing her into the ropes as the ogre ducked at the last minute!

Ash barely had any time to react to the upset, as her eyes went wide as the thought of missing her mark. The next thing she knew, she was feeling Yukari clasp her arms around her stomach, bringing her up off her feet. "Hey, whoah-!" she started to call out - but the next thing Ashley knew, she had come down hard into the mat, slamming her head into the canvas with a thud that left her reeling!
