A Rookie's Dream: Rebecca Blue vs. Sakura Hagiwara

Rebecca just couldn't react quickly enough to Sakura. The more experienced wrestler was on top of her with her next move before Rebecca could even realize what was happening. Her body ached from the punishment and it was getting desperate now. If this continued it was only a matter of time before Rebecca was unconscious or flat on her back unable to kick out.

Laying on the mat however it was clear that Rebecca's offense had taken an effect on Sakura as well. While Rebecca was trying to recover it seemed like Sakura was moving slower. This would likely be Rebecca's best chance as the idol approached her. Sakura hauled Rebecca up to her feet and it was even more clear the toll the match had taken. Sakura seemed to rest for a few moments, while Rebecca wavered on her feet to find her balance.

When Sakura paused, Rebecca knew this was her chance. There was likely a big move coming if the idol wrestler needed this time to compose herself. Rebecca would whip her head up and try to give Sakura swift kick to the gut before grabbing a full head of hair. She would try to jump and haul Sakura up before smashing her face into the mat with her Becca Buster.

Rebecca didn't have a lot to spare in that moment, so it would be difficult to land with power. However, Rebecca hoped it would be effective nonetheless. If she could land it, she would try to hook one of Sakura's legs to initiate a pin.

Sakura was tired and hurting but she felt like she was at a place to potentially end this match, even if she was having a slow time getting up and doing so. Unfortunately however Sakura had taken too long to get Rebecca up and as a result the blonde would suddenly snap up and slam a kick into Sakura's stomach! "Ugh!" Sakura grunted before getting grabbed and lifted into the air before getting slammed face first into the mat! "Ngh!" Sakura cried out, laying limp on the mat before getting rolled over and set up for a pin fall!

"ONE!"

"TWO!!"

"THR-"

Just before the three count could be finished however the idol had managed to summon whatever energy she had in her to manage to kick out of the pin!

Rebecca was able to execute her Becca Buster, hook one of Sakura's legs. She laid on the idol as the ref's hand slapped the mat twice and it felt like Rebecca had secured her victory. However, at the last moment Sakura mustered her strength to kick out and end the pin attempt. Rebecca rolled off of Sakura onto her back her hands clasping her face in frustration. "No way!" Rebecca was sure that Sakura was down for the count. It had been so close.

Clearly Sakura was near the end of her rope, but Rebecca was nearing hers as well. If she could just land one more heavy move, then maybe she could end this. The thought of pulling out a win against someone she had idolized for some time was at the fore front of her mind. Rebecca would haul herself up to her feet getting along side Sakura. She would try and go for another finish with the help of her friend Lucy's finisher.

Rebecca would take hold of Sakura's head and try to haul the idol up to her feet. She figured Sakura would be out of it making this easy to execute. Rebecca would try and land another kick to Sakura's midsection to try and execute Lucy's finisher hoping the impact of Sakura's face against the canvas once again would seal the deal.

Exhausted and in agony from the damage done to her throughout the match Sakura would look up at the lights with a soft groan. Rebecca was far more skilled than she had ever expected for a new wrestler, and she was left out of it as a result. But she wasn't done just yet. Somehow, somewhat Sakura had found it in her to surge up and kick out of the pin fall attempt!

Despite this though she wasn't in the clear just yet and was soon grabbed by her opponent and pulled up to her feet by the woman making the idol groan softly in pain but somewhere at the back of her mind she knew how bad this was, that if Rebecca landed whatever this move was she'd be done for good! Grunting in pain as she was forced to bend over before feeling a leg on her neck that felt like a guillotine positioned over her.

For a brief moment it felt as if time slowed down. Like everything was much more noticeable than before, yet drowned out at the same time. The lack of pressure on her neck told Sakura that her foe had jumped into the air which in turn meant it was her last chance!

Sucking a breath in Sakura would try and suddenly stand up, grabbing the leg that was over her neck in her arm while her other hand went up grab Rebecca's back, using the fact that the blonde was already in the air to lift her up a bit more while spinning in place, looking to drop the blonde with a blue thunder bomb! If successful than Sakura would push forward on Rebecca's leg to put her shoulders against the mat to hold her in place for a pin fall attempt!

"This was it!" Rebecca was thinking to herself that if she could just land this then for sure Sakura would be down for good. It seemed as though getting it to land would be easy. As Rebecca hauled Sakura to her feet there was nearly no resistance. Even as Rebecca kneed Sakura once again to double the idol over there was only slight indications that Sakura was even still conscious.

Rebecca placed a leg over the back of Sakura's neck and pushed herself into the air. Her mind began to relax feeling there was no coming back from this for Sakura.

Suddenly, Sakura sprang to life! Rebecca had no time to comprehend what was going on as she was being spun in mid air held up by Sakura. "Huhh!" After what seemed like ages, Rebecca came crashing down into the mat in a devastating slam. "Huurhhghh" Her arms smacked the mat spread out above her head as the blonde lay in shock by what had transpired. No sooner had Rebecca hit the mat, Sakura pressed forward with Rebecca's leg already hooked pressing the blonde flat for a pin attempt.

"ONE!"

"TWO!"

"THR.."

Rebecca coiled her midsection and gave the last of her reserves to press off the canvas to pull herself out of the pin. At the last possible moment she had managed to rescue herself from defeat. However, the two women were now running on fumes.

Sakura was on the last dregs of energy she had could possibly have right now. Rebecca was strong and skilled for a rookie, but Sakura was equally determined to not lose no matter what. Now with her sudden reversal of the girl's attempted finish and right into a pin she hoped it would be enough. But hope wasn't enough, somehow, someway Rebecca had kicked out, making Sakura's eyes widen in utter shock that the blonde had managed to do so.

'No way...' She thought to herself, about to stand up and go for a finisher but she thought better of it. As exhausted and tired as she was she may make the same mistake as earlier and take too long setting it up, she had to make sure Rebecca was either nearly unconscious first or just outright finish things here and now. As such she would instead lean forward, grabbing Rebecca's hair and aimed to pull the girl up while getting up herself till both were in a standing position... Before reeling back her arm and sending it forward a fore arm strike right to Rebecca's jaw!

Rebecca was breathing heavy as she lay on her back after the kick out her chest rising and falling rapidly. There had been a jolt of energy through the crowd as they'd watched two near falls in quick succession. Rebecca's eyes were closed as she tried to will her body to move and stand up, but the effects of the match were catching up to her. She was was exhausted and the maneuver Sakura just landed had been devastating leaving Rebecca on the back foot once again.

Before Rebecca could will herself up, Sakura grabbed a handful of the blonde's hair that rose Rebecca up to her feet. Upon being brought up, it was clear Rebecca was a little uneasy as she took several small steps to balance herself. Her eyes flickered open letting her catch a glimpse of Sakura across from her. Rebecca saw a slight movement as her eyes were a little fuzzy before Sakura's forearm crashed into Rebecca's face. "Hurgghgh"

The blonde fell backward smacking the canvas with a loud thud leaving her spread eagle before Sakura. Rebecca's face stung from the impact as her mind raced. "Is this it?!"..."You're done for just let her finish you off!" Rebecca's thoughts briefly went to defeatist attitudes. However, she wasn't going to give up. She wanted to shine in the eyes of someone she'd looked up to. The crowd began cheering as they felt like maybe Sakura had finally broken Rebecca. Chants of "Sakura!...Sakura!...Sakura!" echoed through the arena.

Rebecca needed to move and defend, but her body was not responding.

[Bare]

Sakura was totally and completely exhausted right now, she wanted nothing more than to just end this and pass out for who knows how long. But she had to keep forging along, she had to win. Thankfully her forearm strike rang through and it took Rebecca right back off her feet and down to the mat. Truthfully Sakura could have just collapsed on top of the blonde and hope that would be enough to win... But she couldn't take the chance.

No she had to make sure that no matter what, Rebecca was down for the count, even if she had to knock the girl unconscious to do it. Bending down and grabbing Rebecca's shoulders Sakura would aim to pull the girl up to a sitting position before picking her back up to her feet. If uninterrupted Sakura would grab at the blonde's waist, looking to turn her around until she was at a angle with Rebecca's head pointed to the mat, set up for Sakura's finisher the Sweet Driver!

Rebecca was utterly spent. The forearm strike had been another devastating blow to her already weakened consciousness. Realistically it was unlikely Rebecca would be able to resist another pin attempt from Sakura, but the idol didn't drop down to initiate another pin. This allowed Rebecca at least a few moments to recover as she waited to see what Sakura's next movements would be.

Sakura soon made a move toward Rebecca pulling the blonde to a sitting position. Rebecca needed to act if she was going to come out as the victor, but she needed to time it right. She would likely only have one chance and she needed to put everything into the attack, but it would have to be quick and simple. Sakura then began pulling Rebecca back to her feet. This was it! Being on her feet once again was the best chance to counter. As Sakura moved closer to lock in whatever was brewing in the idols mind Rebecca made her move.

As the idol moved her arms to lock in, Rebecca simply placed both hands on her shoulders and shoved to create distance between the two. If successful, the blonde would advance forward before throwing a simple haymaker toward Sakura's face. Hoping to land it flush on her left cheek and put the idol down.

[Bare]

Sakura was exhausted. Really she should have gone for a pin fall attempt after the haymaker, but she was desperate, she needed this win to be definitive and she had to feel sure before going for it, and she just didn't feel sure with that punch alone. Hence she was trying to haul Rebecca up to her feet to land her finisher on the girl in order to end things once and for all. Unfortunately as she got the blonde up she found herself pushed back suddenly!

'Crap!' Sakura thought to herself as on instinct she balled a fist up and surged right back towards Rebecca, screaming out in determination as she swung her fist out for a do or die punch aimed right at Rebecca's jaw! Ironically however her determination to end this led her to taking Rebecca's own punch right on the jaw as well! "NGH!" Regardless if her own punch landed as well in a cross counter... Sakura's head would tilt back before she collapsed backwards against the mat, nearly unconscious!
