Clash of Loyalties

As Helen giggled at seeing a groggy Christina wake up, Christina couldn't help but smile back at her friend's infectious energy.

Christina accepted Helen's help to sit up, grateful for the pat on the back that helped her begin to recover from the effects of the sleeper hold. However, her grogginess quickly turned to a mix of surprise and concern as Helen mentioned taking a bath in Marine's master bathroom.

"Helen, are you sure about this? This isn't our house,"

Christina said, a note of caution in her voice. Despite her reservations, she couldn't deny the allure of the luxurious bathtub and the tempting array of bath bombs that beckoned from the cabinet.

Watching as Helen began to strip off her clothes and prepare the bathtub, Christina hesitated for a moment, torn between indulging in the relaxing soak and the nagging worry of intruding on their host's space. With a sigh and a small smile, she decided to go along with Helen's impromptu plan, trusting in their friendship and the promise of a much-needed moment of relaxation.

"Alright, let's do it,"

Christina said, mustering up her own excitement as she joined Helen in getting ready for a soothing bath in the extravagant surroundings of Marine's master bathroom.

"Christinaaaaaaa," Helen begged as she got undressed.
"Look at it. Just look at it. It sitting right there, all alone. Barely used probably. Also they're doing family therapy out there, so I think we'll be trapped in here for awhile."
Helen began drawing the bath with hot water and, when it was full, stepped in. She picked a lavender bath bomb from the rack and dropped it in.

Meanwhile, Alanna, Emma, and Marine finished their long group hug. The three then individually hugged. Then they sat down and talked. Alanna and Marine talked about their respective falling outs with the family. Marine spoke honestly about her initial negative view of Emma, and how wrong she was. Alanna spoke of the guilt she still felt over all the people, Emma included, who she hurt.
"To think that someone I thought was so wrong for my sister... was the exact right person for her."
"I still don't understand why you chose me, Emma. You deserve so much better than an Antoinette."

As Helen pleaded with Christina, enticing her with the allure of the inviting bathtub and the promise of solitude in the midst of the family therapy session happening outside, Christina couldn't help but be swayed by her friend's persuasive words. With a mixture of amusement and resignation, she chuckled and shook her head.

"You're impossible, Helen,"

Christina said with a laugh, giving in to the temptation.

"Alright, let's make it quick before we get caught."

Christina watched as Helen drew the bath with hot water, the steam rising invitingly into the air. Seeing her friend step into the tub and drop a lavender bath bomb, Christina couldn't resist the relaxing ambiance that filled the room. With a shrug and a grin, she joined Helen in the warm water, feeling the tension in her muscles melt away as she settled in for a moment of tranquility.

Meanwhile, as Alanna, Emma, and Marine concluded their heartfelt group hug, the three women settled down to talk, each sharing their thoughts and feelings openly. Alanna and Marine delved into their past conflicts and misunderstandings, acknowledging their mistakes and expressing their regrets.

Marine spoke candidly about her initial prejudices towards Emma, admitting her misjudgment and expressing gratitude for the positive impact Emma had on their family. Alanna, in turn, opened up about the guilt she carried for the pain she had caused, including her past interactions with Emma.

Emma spoke softly, her voice filled with warmth and reassurance.

“You’re so kind… I’m so happy now that you’re in my life. I know we haven’t dated long, but I… I love you, Emma.”
Depending on how she reacts, Alanna would pull Emma in for a kiss.

Marine, upon seeing this, would get up and leave the couple to their own devices. She made progress with Alanna and would resume that tomorrow. She grabbed a bottle of wine and made for her room. Meanwhile…

”… Okay so you saw the match. It wasn’t just me? Rianne was being just as sensual with her moves too, right? It’s such fucking bullshit that the woman who wrecked my love life has a body like that. And I’ll strangle you if you repeat that.”
A tipsy Helen was venting about Rianne to Christina in the bathtub. They were sitting on opposite sides basking in its warmth and comfort.
“Sorry I’m monopolizing the emotional labor here. How are you feeling these days? How are things with my ex?”

Christina smiled, savoring the warmth of the bathtub.

"Helen, you're not monopolizing anything. We're friends, and friends listen. Now, about Rianne's moves during the match, I did notice some....... charisma....... but I think you might be selling yourself short. You've got your own unique charm, and it's not all about appearances."


Leaning back, Christina continued,

"And as for my romantic life, Alexios and I are doing great. Last night, he surprised me by taking me to Menbakaichidai. He has a knack for making every moment special, you know? But hey, let's not turn this into a competition. You're an amazing person, and there's someone out there who will appreciate you for who you are."

Christina placed a reassuring hand on Helen's shoulder,

"Helen, I know things have been tough, but you've got so much to offer. You're strong, funny, and honestly, your unique energy brightens up any room. Sometimes it's easy to focus on the external stuff, but remember, it's the person you are that truly matters."

She paused, looking directly at Helen,

"And relationships, well, they can be tricky. Just because one didn't work out doesn't define your worth. There's someone out there who'll appreciate your quirks and love you for who you are. Trust me; you're worth it and the world is big."

Leaning back in the warm water, Christina added,

"We've all had our heartaches, but that doesn't mean there isn't a silver lining waiting for you. In the meantime, let's focus on enjoying the present and, maybe, plotting our next adventure. Who knows what exciting things are around the corner?"

Christina's face lit up with a warm smile, as she eagerly wished that her efforts had successfully brightened her roommate's day.

Helen smiled, "Oh Christina. You're so kind. Alexios is lucky to have you. He better not fuck it up. But yeah... I don't know. I keep telling myself there's someone out there for me, but I might meet them and scare them away. For all my perks and qualities, I am the problem. I'm too intense. I drove Alexios away... So I'm worried I'll just be continuing the cycle with anyone else I date." Helen sank in the soapy water and made bubbles to cheer herself up.

Meanwhile, Marine had left Emma and Alanna to their lovemaking and went into her bedroom. She stripped off her clothes, revealing her athletic figure, and grabbed her bottle of wine to go into the bathroom with.

Christina smiled warmly at Helen's words.

"Helen, listen to me. You are not the problem. It's easy to blame ourselves when things don't work out, but relationships are a two-way street. It takes effort from both sides. And as for being intense, well, that's just part of what makes you, well...you. There's someone out there who will appreciate and even love that intensity. Trust me, you're not scaring anyone away."

She reached out to pat Helen's hand reassuringly before standing up from the bathtub.

"Stay right there, okay? I'll be right back~"

As Christina started to step out of the tub to check on her phone, she froze upon hearing Marine's voice. She glanced over, trying to act nonchalant, but her curiosity was piqued.

Marine was about to go in the bathroom when her phone rang. She went to pick it up and, upon seeing who was calling, answered in a combination of English and French. “I need you to get ahold of someone from LAW’s production… Not the fucking director, I needs a crew member… It’s a simple task. Find and get me in touch with one… This is high priority… It’s for Emma and Alanna! This WILL be their night. Get it done.”

Marine opened the door to her bathroom and stopped in her tracks upon seeing Christina and Helen in her bath tub. Upon locking eyes with the Frenchwoman, Helen, who was tipsy, giggled and awkwardly waved.

Christina's eyebrows furrowed slightly as she observed Marine's interaction on the phone. Something about the urgency in her tone and the mention of Emma and Alanna raised a red flag in Christina's mind. Before she could dwell on it further, Helen's tipsy giggle and awkward wave snapped her attention back to the present moment.

Suppressing her suspicions for the time being, Christina flashed a friendly smile at Marine.

"Oh, hey there! We were just enjoying a nice soak. Hope you don't mind us borrowing your bathtub for a bit."

Marine, Helen, and Christina, all of whom were naked, stared at each other. This was the first of Marine’s physique the two of them had seen and, while she may not be a wrestler, Marine definitely appeared formidable. After an awkward silence, Marine sighed,
“”It’s fine. Move over.”
Marine disappeared into her room again and carried back with an extra wine glass and a fruit smoothie from her mini fridge. She poured herself and Helen wine and handed Christina the super bougie yet healthy smoothie before getting into the tub.
“I’ve been sexiled. Emma and Alanna are having a moment… more like an hour or two… in the common room.”
“Does this happen often?” Helen giggled.
“Usually they just go to their suite but here they were overcome with passion immediately… Alanna used the ‘L word.’”
