Lyra Vs. JJ: Something To Prove (Apex Qualifier)

JJ saw Lyra get back to her hands and knees as JJ got to her feet. She decided she could try to use this to her advantage. She wanted to scramble Lyra's head and she moved in hooking Lyra's arms and wedging Lyra's head underneath JJ's right arm in the process. JJ smiled and tried to jump up and lean back to plant Lyra's head to the mat with a double underhook DDT if all went according to plan!

[Pegasus]

Lyra couldn’t make heads or tails of where she was after getting ricocheted around by the Dropkick. She didn’t have much time to register anything as JJ decided it wasn’t enough. JJ tucked Lyra into position and hooked both arms essentially looking for something special jumping up to slam Lyra’s head into the mat. Lyra would fall forward fast getting hit with a Double Underhook DDT as the fortune teller cried out in pain holding her face!

JJ sent Lyra crashing down and she moved around to her legs again. JJ intertwined her legs in with Lyras leaning back to apply pressure as a figure four leglock was applied! JJ put everything she had in on this one doing all she could to wrench down on that leg!

[Pegasus]

Lyra winced and cried out in pain as JJ targeted the legs in another attack on them especially wrenching on the injured leg! Lyra tried scooting back and trying to go for the bottom rope reaching out as best she could. However, the pain stopped her for the moment and she had to breathe heavily trying to distract herself with her current goal. Lyra tried reaching out just barely gracing the rope, but not quite reaching it.

JJ looked at Lyra reaching for the ropes and shook her head! "Oh hell no!" JJ shouted as she kept wrenching, trying to use her arms to drag the two of them further away from the ropes a couple feet before leaning back to really re-apply the pressure of the hold as she attempted to get Lyra to submit to her!

[Pegasus]

Lyra would be pulled away gasping and yelling “NO! NO! NO!” in her head as JJ reapplied pressure making the fortune teller scream. She would pound her left fist against the canvas as the referee got on her right knee to check on Lyra asking her if she wanted to tap. Lyra shook her head, but the pain would slow those head movements and she would try turning over the hold and reverse it on JJ!

JJ wrenched down and applied all the pressure she could, but soon felt the two of them rolling over, reversing the pressure now onto JJ's legs! JJ let out a shout as she was now the one stuck in the hold! She clawed at the mat but realized she could try to roll to the side, rolling the pair into the ropes and forcing a rope break that way instead of crawling all the way to the opposite side of the ring. JJ thrust to the side trying to force another rollover.

[Pegasus]

Lyra gasped as JJ pushed them both over to the ropes allowing the cocky heel to grab the bottom rope. Lyra didn’t argue one bit getting out and staggering back to her feet grateful that the hold was over. Lyra winced a little as she stood still to let the pain in her leg subside. Lyra then tried throwing out fast strikes to JJ’s face getting her in the corner. If successful, Lyra would grab the top rope kicking JJ down with her better leg into a seated position!

JJ was getting up but took a sharp kick to the side of the face sending her rolling! She kept taking hits until she found herself stuck in the corner in a seated position at the base of the turnbuckle as she was reeling, with Lyra in the drivers seat of the match.

Lyra would then back up into the opposing corner and place her hands on her knees. She ran for JJ using the top rope to lift herself high in a straight angle and came back down with her feet outstretched towards JJ. Lyra was trying for a Slingshot Corner Dropkick! She was about to strike JJ in her chest.
