Before Joana could throw her body backwards, Mai pushed her away, releasing her from the abdominal stretch. Clicking her tongue, Joana staggered forward, still feeling the effect from the hold. She would then turn around, knowing that she needed to continue with the flow of the match. Upon turning around, she would then approach Mai, looking to grab her by her head with her left hand as she planned to hit her with forearm smash right to her face with her right arm.

Mai knew there would be no rest for the weary as Joana approached Mai, before she could react, Joana's arm came flying toward her. It hit hard enough to send Mai toa the corner, a bit stunned...

Hitting Mai right in her head, Joana then continued with her attacks as she would try to deliver a straight kick right into Mai's belly, hoping to knock the wind out of her lungs. She knew that the kick would leave her opponent gasping for air and exposed to whatever she would do next. All the while, the half-Brazilian redhead would continue looking at her opponent as she would consider her next action.

One thing about Eastern Europeans is, they are a resilient lot. Mai simply moved out of the way of the kick, and prepared for a strike of her own, a discus punch right to the Brazilian's skull. Mai wasn't going to make this easy on her, or anyone who would step in the ring with her...Well, maybe one...

It seemed that Joana had missed her kick, and Mai was preparing an attack of her own. Seeing the discus punch coming, the half-Brazilian would move back, avoiding the attack from hitting her head before she ran backwards to the ropes, hoping to bounce from them and returning back to where her opponent was so that she could hit her with a shoulder block to her chest.

Mai missed the punch, and before Mai could even think of a counter, Joana came flying with a strong arm to her chest. Mai was knocked into the ropes, but, bounced off, "I do believe we're at a stalemate" Only Mai knew what was truly happening: An old boxing trick, perfected by a Mr. Ali, trying to wear Joana out with her doing most of the work. when she's worn down, than she'll strike harder...

It seemed that the shoulder block didn't do the trick, and Mai was going to deliver more attacks on the redhead. "Tch!!" Clicking her tongue in annoyance, Joana would try to defend herself against Mai's attacks, though she didn't know how long she could last her opponent's onslaught. So, as she defend herself, she would try to think of a way to turn things around in her favor.

Mai was finished playing games, Mai decided that now was as good as time as ever to go for a finisher, in this case the "Trajan Clinch" a bearhug, Mai slowly approached the redhead, and if she was successful, she would cinch the Brazilian in a tight embrace.

Being forced into a defensive, Joana was left reeling and frustrated, and she saw Mai closing in, as if trying to go for a bearhug. This time, she would stop being cautious as she would try to stop Mai from clinching her into the bearhug by attempting to slug her face with a straight punch, hoping to leave her dizzy.

Mai smiled as she hugged her opponent, something about the feeling of two humans engaged in combat when everyone involved isn't holding back made her happy for whatever reason. Her opponent tried to punch her way out, and as much as she hated to admit it, it was working, after a few clean shots, Mai abandoned the move for the time being.
