Hmm, guess my read was off, Nejire thought as Aphrodite refused to give in to her demands. For how arrogant and convinced of her superiority Aphrodite had acted up to this point, Nejire was surprised that the blonde was now so willing to accept defeat. Doing what it takes to keep fighting gives somebody like her another chance to prove herself right, and then she could write off what happened before as a fluke. But it seemed that Aphrodite instead accepted that she was incapable of winning this match.
Nejire decided to prod at Aphrodite some more to see if she could put some fight back in her, "Well, I was hoping that my pro debut might be a bit more interesting. But I guess it's not bad having it be so easy." At this point, Nejire wasn't expecting much more than Aphrodite passing out in her grip, but she held some hope that the so called goddess would do something to make this interesting.
