Valerie winced from the heavy impact of that punches that kept her pinned in the corner. Trapped as she was, she couldn't do anything other than turtle up until Ivan finally relented. When Ivan took a step back it gave Valerie a second to catch her breath. It wouldn't be long before he was on her again, but every second counted. Sure enough, Ivan would go back on the attack with a knee aimed at her midsection. Her eyes widened at the sight of the sudden attack, but she managed to move out of the way at the last second. She would then grab his neck and drop down to the mat with a neckbreaker.

Ivan's knee shoots out, seeking to crush Valerie's midsection and double her over. At the last possible second, she manages to evade the strike, moving faster than he anticipated. The knee whiffs past her body harmlessly.

Before Ivan can recover, strong hands clamp around his neck. He feels himself being pulled downwards as Valerie drops into a seated position. Time seems to slow as he realizes what's happening.

With a desperate shove, Ivan breaks her grasp, pushing off of her and backing away. Both combatants end up separated by a few feet. Ivan rubs his neck gingerly, glaring at Valerie with newfound respect.

"Impressive," he concedes. "But you'll have to do better than that."

Valerie let out a growl of frustration as Ivan managed to push her away before she could execute the maneuver. With the two of them separated Valerie took a moment to recover and regroup. Ivan was proving to be a very difficult opponent, but at least he finally seemed to be taking her seriously.

"Oh, don't worry, I've got more up my sleeve." Valerie responded with a smirk. Then without warning she charged towards him. She crouched low to feign going for a spear before firing an uppercut at his jaw once she got close.

Ivan smirks at Valerie's bravado, amused by her confidence despite the beating he's given her thus far. He readies himself for whatever she might try next.

When she charges, Ivan tenses, anticipating. As she crouches low, he braces for a spear, shifting his weight back to absorb the impact. But the attack never comes.

Instead, a fist rockets upward, aimed dead-on for his jaw. Ivan's reflexes kick in. He jerks his head to the side at the last instant, feeling the rush of air as the uppercut passes by mere inches.

Before Valerie can recover, Ivan surges to the side, sidestepping at her left. His fist lash out, hammering into her midsection with a body blow meant to capitalize the opening provided.

Valerie saw Ivan's eyes widen as her fist shot towards his jaw. It was clear that he hadn't been expecting that, which made it all the more irritating when he managed to avoid the uppercut at the last second. Valerie wanted to let out a curse but she held her tongue. She refused to show any weakness. But now she had bigger problems as the failed uppercut left her open for a counterattack in the form of a fist to her midsection. The body blow connected with enough force to double her over.

Ivan's body blows connect with devastating effect, doubling Valerie over and stealing the wind from her lungs. Seizing the opportunity, he steps behind her and wraps his muscular arms around her waist and biceps, locking her arms at her sides in a bear hug.

With a grunt of exertion, Ivan hoists Valerie up and forward, bending his knees as he prepares to suplex her. His back muscles and core tense as he gathers power.

"Take this!" Ivan roars, twisting his hips and thrusting upwards, attempting to slam Valerie down to the mat in a powerful suplex maneuver. The force and height of the lift would leave her helpless to resist if successful.

With Valerie doubled over from the heavy body blows, Ivan was able to wrap his arms around her waist and arms. She thought Ivan was going to try to squeeze a submission out of her in a bearhug. But that turned out not to be the case as instead he lifted her up off her feet for a suplex. Valerie squirmed in an attempt to free herself before he could complete the maneuver. But she was not able to break his grip and she came crashing down hard on the mat.

"Guah!" The impact of the suplex was devastating. Pain shot through her back and shoulders as her body ragdolled across the ring after the release. The momentum from the suplex caused her to roll underneath the bottom rope and drop down to the outside.

With a roar, Ivan completes the suplex, slamming Valerie down to the canvas with bone-jarring force. The impact sends tremors through his own arms. He watches, momentarily stunned, as her limp body flops and rolls to the outside of the ring.

Ivan stands tall, hands on his hips, surveying the scene with grim satisfaction. He knows it's a matter of time before Valerie recovers enough to continue the fight.

Turning his back to the ropes, he bounces on the balls of his feet, loosening up. His eyes never leave Valerie, watching for the slightest sign of movement.

"I'm not done with you yet," he calls out, his deep voice dripping with menace. "Get back in here and finish what you started. If you have the guts."

Valerie had expected Ivan to come after her to the floor but instead he seemed content to wait for her in the ring. Privately, she was glad for that as it gave her time to recover. As she lay on the ground writhing in pain the referee began to count.

"One!"

"Two!"

"Three!"

To say that things weren't going well for Valerie would be an understatement. So far, the match has been almost entirely in her opponent's favor. Any offense she managed to get in has been short and fleeting. But Valerie wasn't done yet. She'd be damned if she things end like this. While the pain hadn't fully gone away, the time on the floor had caused it to go down to a manageable level that she was able to pull herself and roll back into the ring to continue the match. She glared at her opponent as she awaited his next move.

Ivan's eyes light up with a predatory gleam as Valerie climbs back into the ring, clearly battered but determined. He takes a step back, coiling his muscles like a snake ready to strike.

As soon as her feet touch the mat inside the ropes, Ivan explodes forward. He closes the distance between them in a flash, his right leg extending in a powerful front kick aimed squarely at Valerie's chest.

The attack is lightning quick - a test of Valerie's reflexes and ability to react. If she fails to defend herself properly, the kick will send her flying back down to the canvas, setting her up for further punishment.
