It's Just Not The Same (For Noob)

Katsumi is terribly pleased to see Suzume giggling at her. It feels good, making her laugh. She usually has her fussing at her over something! Granted, that's fun too! But making her smile feels better. She just hasn't worked out the angle to make that happen more often. Navigating social life is tricky. Still, it's a warm feeling to come back to the area, run into Suzume, and have this effect. Good times. Great times, even.

When she's given what sounds like a sincere compliment back, something inside her panics. So unaccustomed to them, so foreign to her ear, she has a knee-jerk response to override it with a quick and immediate response! And this response manifests as a sudden, blink-and-you-miss-it shift in at Suzume's side, ducked in next to her with one hand going to cover the girl's mouth. "Shh! I have a reputation to maintain!" Her eyes shift conspiratorially.

"Ah! I know!"

Katsumi is suddenly right in front of Suzume again. "You'n me! Bedroom match! Private match between the two of us. Beds are nice'n squishy, right? And you'll get to be my first!"

And no sooner does she get that out of her mouth than she realizes how that sounds. Eyes widen, hands raise, "W-wait, not like that, shut up! I meant- I meant my first bedroom wrestling match!" She promptly sputters, realizing, "There's no good way of wording that!"

It seemed as if the two hadn't missed a beat despite being separated for a bit. Good times for all. Of course it wasn't quite as good for Suzume when she had her mouth covered. "Buhhh ahhh aught ahhh rrrrfffffuahhhshhhh..." She'd mumble, her words muffled quite thoroughly. She didn't mind all that much though as it covered for the fact that she wasn't even entirely sure what point she was trying to make...if any at all anymore.

Despite being allowed to speak again, Suzume was left rather speechless. Did Kat really just propose that match? And follow up like that? The possibility of a misunderstanding was quickly cleared up but that didn't change what was said. Or the fact that both of them would have a hard time looking at each other for the next few moments. Or at least that's what Suzume assumed. She wasn't looking at Katsumi.

After a brief pause she looked back at her friend and was able to get words out again. "There really...really isn't. Especially when you mention a private...THAT. Totally means lewd to other people." she'd say, making sure not to speak too loudly about that in such a public place.

"Buuuut I mean I can totally show off my stuff later if ya want! And...ugh there is NO good way to say what I was gonna say while including bed in the sentence"

When Suzume begins awkwardly looking elsewhere, it infects Katsumi as well. Her hand lifts to rub against the back of her neck, eyes shifting sidelong. Her weight shifts from foot to foot. Uncomfortable seconds pass.

"I mean, I already pinned ya in a swimsuit."

As if that helps. The reasoning? It shouldn't be weird! They've already had excessive skin contact! The execution? Maybe steering the mind further in the other direction.

"What were you gonna say?," she suddenly presses. "Tell me, tell me, tell me!" Each round of the demand sees the girl commit a small bunny-hop closer to Suzume, eager to hear her say something potentially embarrassing as well!

"That does NOT help!" A now very red Suzume blurted out. She had went from gremlin to hyper excited to squirming in place all in one day and it was exhausting. Just like that though the memory hit her and she was now feeling quite awko-taco Suzu. To make matters worse she had made the mistake of talking before thinking, never a good move when with someone who likes to immediately jump on that. Each "Tell me" Had Suzume feeling smaller and smaller until she finally just crossed her arms over her chest and leaned back to get a bit of space.

"Ughhh I totallllly take back the nice part." She'd huff before briefly sticking her tongue out at Kat. "I just meant there's no not embarrassing way to say something like...totally gonna slam ya down on the bed or gonna have ya pinned on the bed in no time." She'd explain, her words becoming a bit faster towards the end just to get the sentence over with. "Seeee? Even if I was totally serious it sounds...ya know! And like whatever oats peoples goats. I'm sure people have fun with stuff and all but...yeah I'll shut up now." A now rambling Suzume would abruptly stop speaking.

Katsumi is grinning widely. Wider than she ought to. It's delightful, watching Suzume squirm like old times! Verbally and physically both! So she can't exactly stop now, can she?

"Well?," asks Katsumi. "We gonna?" She leans a little closer, hooding her gaze at her. "You gonna pin me down?" Little closer. "On the bed?" The grin becomes a little toothy. "We gonna have a bedroom match? Or did'ja get all shy with me? Didn't get doughy, right? I expect a bolder bean, if you're racking up wins. Especially when it's just me! So how 'bout it?"

Her left hand lifts, the index finger raises... and she angles it to tap onto the point of Suzume's nose. "We gonna wrestle? My place or yours?"

The inner turmoil Suzume was feeling was written all over her face. "Shut..." She'd huff, a little whisper. "Ugh shuuuuut." She'd whine, a bit louder now. "SHUT!" She'd finally say rather loudly, fed up with all the teasing. "We'll go to your place and I'm totally gonna slam ya on the bed." She'd say with determination. "And no complaining when I have ya smushed against the bed and don't let ya up til you tap." The lightweight huffed. A brief bout of confidence had taken hold of her. Although unfortunately she still had trouble maintaining it and even moments after couldn't believe it had even occured.

"But ummm...yeah." She'd continue, a bit more timidly. "Eheh I guess its an unofficial match at your place then. Tekken noob Katsumi vs. Super pro Suzume." She'd say with a chuckle. She was eager to suggest Kat's place. Her own apartment was embarrassingly small and possibly a bit of a mess that she wasn't too eager to share with others.

Katsumi couldn't be more pleased by the result of her needling. There weren't particularly nefarious motives behind this other than to rile the mousy brunette up. She lives for that kind of thing! Especially with the smolfriend! "My place!," she agrees. "Make sure you bring something hot to wrestle in! Maybe I'll show ya my new gear! Err, wait. Shoes on the bed. Maybe not. I gotta sleep on that bed later."

She glances aside in thought. "..bikinis? What do people usually wrestle in when they do those bedroom matches?" She suddenly looks back to Suzume. "This is more your expertise, right~? What do people wear? And don't say hoodies or parkas! That's so lame!"

"W...wuuuh?" Suzume was caught off guard by that request. She didn't quite expect it from Katsumi. "I umm...wait you have new gear?" She'd grab at the chance to change the subject. But relief wouldn't come. Just more teasing. "I mean I have a bathing suit...and hey why is that MY expertise?" Suzume whined. She hadn't even been in a bedroom match. Sure she had gotten herself into ONE lewd match but that barely counted. It certainly hadn't been the first time a new wrestler got themselves into something they weren't prepared for.

"Hmmfff...whatevvver. I dunno I thought bedroom match stuff was just in like underwear." She'd say, pausing for a moment before fixing her statement. "Whiiiich I didn't think we were doing. I mean...wait did you want to do that? And I wasn't gonna say hoodies or parkas...just like turtle necks and ponchos." Suzume rambled, unable to even stop herself at the moment if she tried. And she was desperately trying. Eventually she'd calm herself down before looking back to her friend for reassurance. "I dunno...but I guess we have options right?"

The reassurance Suzume would find comes in the form of Katsumi cackling. Wicked though she may be quite often, but cackle? That's a rarity. The absurdity of it tickles her terribly, and the girl not being particularly shy (or possessing any unmentionables of a racy variety) can't resist the opportunity to dig in a little further at the brunette. "We're gonna wrestle in underwear, then!," she announces.

A few heads turn to look at them. Katsumi doesn't notice. Her world consists of Sheska-chan and this train of thought. That and an abrupt and inescapable curiosity of what kind of undies Suzume wears.

"And we'll wrestle to a pinning submission! Like, pin until the person gives up! Unless you were just makin' it up about those wins of yours~!"

"Shhhh!!!" This time it was Suzume's turn to cover Katsumi's mouth. A few heads turned, clearly interested in what was going on now. The last thing the brunette wanted was any more publicity though. She'd quickly back off and just glare at anyone who was still looking their way. "When did this...how...ok ok." She'd finally just acquiesce. She didn't have anything terribly revealing...all though the whole ordeal felt rather revealing.

"I was not making it up." Suzume finally huffed. "But ok deal. I won't knock ya out. I'll pin ya." She'd say with a little smirk, a bit of confidence returning for a moment. She didn't know what the heck she had just gotten herself into but there was no backing out of it now. Plus she had to prove to Kat that she hadn't just been a slouch since they had last seen eachother. And she still owed them one loss from the first time the two had met.
