Akari had Chika held down, all she needed was just another second. However, Chika managed to buck her legs and kick Akari off, breaking the pin. Whether it was instinctual or a last-ditch effort, Akari was left surprised by Chika's sudden escape. It wasn't uncommon to kick out at a near fall like that but it was certainly admirable and awe-inspiring to see another fighter summon up what they might have left in the tank in order to recover and keep themselves in the fight...

Akari rolled away and she got up to her feet, dusting herself off and smiling at Chika. "Nice moves." She said, commending the veteran Joshi.

Chika slowly got back up to her feet, hearing her rival’s compliment, flashing a quick smile and nodding in acknowledgement…before her head was back in the game!

She dashed straight at Akari, trying to take the Sea Turtle by surprise with a hard knee shot to her chest!

Akari was just barely able to use her forearm to block that knee, but the damage still hit her. Chika was strong...REALLY strong, but of course, that shouldn't come as a surprise...the power of that knee was enough to start blasting Akari away, but the resourceful Turtle used this to her advantage as she tried to rebound off of the ropes, heading right back at Chika with a Lariat in mind. Should Chika be unprepared, Akari's arm would come crashing into her upper chest...however, a swift counter would definitely expose Akari to another attack, one that was certain to hit its mark this time...

This back-and-forth game of 'give and take' continues, both sides fighting to their heart's content to show off their skill. Attacking and deflecting, trading blows, and so on and so forth...neither wrestler was giving an inch, and both were trying to take a mile from each other. The crowd was thrilled by all the action...to see the expertise and focus of the veteran Chika Igarashi in action against the brimming, youthful energy and bombastic style of the up-and-coming Akari Ito, it was electrifying to watch.

Akari would successfully block the hard shock from Chika, to the smaller woman's surprise. Chika would try to quickly turn around, seeing Akari making her way towards her, raising her arm!

At the last moment, Chika would drop backwards, managing a swift bridge, before lifting herself up, crowd excited by the fast dodge, before the Raven Knight rushed towards the ropes herself, rebounding, and outstretching her hand towards her rival, whether she was still standing or running at her!

Akari's attack whiffed, causing her to go flying past Chika as she was still out in a sprint. She hits the ropes and bounces back, running back toward Chika who was on the offensive now. She ducks low and rolls forward, avoiding the arm and hand and landing on one knee, looking back at the woman once again, stopping at the edge of the ring on the other side apart from Chika as the crowd roared on. The two were once in a stalemate. Akari smiled, blood was rushing through her veins, her heart was pounding in her chest, and the adrenaline was kicking in at full force as her body fired off on all cylinders. THIS was wrestling...and she loved it. She ran toward Chika again and went to try and slip behind the woman, feinting another Lariat in an attempt to fool her and pull off a sneaky Waist Lock from behind.

Akari missed, but Chika wasn't upset, keeping her momentum and stopping at the ropes, flashing a quick smile at Akari, before she tried to rush towards her once more, ducking underneath her arm...only to discover that it was a feint, the Turtle suddenly stopped dead in her tracks, and wrapped her arms around her body for a waistlock!

Chika would try and break the circle at her body, but the surprise of the hold delayed her action. Akari had to act fast before Chika escaped!

With Chika immobilized, the Sea Turtle had a chance, but she needed to act quickly as the Raven wasn't just going to stand around while she was being held. Akari had her opponent's waist tightly gripped in the clutches of her arms, aiming to lift the woman up and fling her backward in the form of a classic, picture-perfect German Suplex, planting the veteran wrestler down onto the canvas, forcing her to hit the rough surface of the ring with her back first.

Right as Chika was about to break out of the hold, Akari would flex her arms, lifting Chika off the ground, and carry her through the air, as the Raven Knight flew in an arc, before her shoulder and neck were nailed against the ring canvas!

"AUUUGH!!!", Chika cried out, not sure whether her rival was going to pin her or let her go for more punishment.

Without wasting any time, Akari instantly leaped toward Chika's body, making sure she was lying flat on her back in order to seize the opportunity to score a complete pin. She hooks her leg and covers the Raven Knight with as much of her own body as she can so that in the event she DOES kick out, which Akari hoped would not be the case, Chika would at least have to expend a good bit of energy to do so.

"1...!!!"

"2...!!!"

Instead of keeping the arc, Akari chose to pin Chika with a regular cover…inadvertingly given the Raven Knight just a spare millisecond of rest to collect herself…kicking out right as the ref would declare:

”THR——NO!!!”

Chika would shove Akari off, while trying to break the distance between herself and the turtle, lest Akari went for further offence!
