Yuki Kazikura vs. Sunny K [D]

Yuki knew she would be cutting it close, but she felt it would be worth a shot. And as luck would have it, she was able to roll aside just in time for Sunny to slam into the canvas, causing it to rumble beneath her. As she propped herself up on her elbow to recenter herself, she saw how Sunny was frustrated by the experience, and she felt a bit of guilt for denying her her moment - she knew too how it felt to have what seemed to be a blaze of glory snatched away in the blink of an eye. But she put that aside. It would be doing everyone a disservice if she went easy on Sunny. She was here to learn how she fit in this organization, and there were some lessons that had to be learned in the ring. Yuki reminded herself that, as she went to pick herself up onto her knees.

"Good try," she said to Sunny, hoping to encourage her. "Just remember that your opponent's always thinking, too." She began to pick herself back up to her feet, offering a hand to let Sunny up as well.

Feeling like her entire body just got slapped by a giant hand, Sunny began to gingerly crawl back to a knee as she regathered herself from getting the wind knocked out of her. Embarrassed by the her miscue, she could hardly bare to look up to face the crowd and opponent, who were probably having a giggle over her display of hubris.

As she looked up, however, she was surprised to see Yuki there, offering her a hand up. Confused by this gesture, Sunny could only reach her hand back out to Yuki to get back to her feet.

"There," Yuki said with a nod, guiding Sunny back up to her feet. Although the Californian was her opponent, Yuki still recognized that she was meeting her on honorable grounds, and that she was here to find her place in the ring. She could respect that, and she wasn't about to go for any cheap shots.

Once Sunny was back on her feet, Yuki got into a stance, offering her hands to lock up with Sunny once again. "Now, you ready?"

Helped up to her feet by Yuki, Sunny found herself standing right in front of her surprisingly friendly opponent. Still rather confused as to why she let up on her, all Sunny could do is mouth a "Thanks" towards the Japanese wrestler.

It soon turned back to business however, as Yuki got into a lockup stance and beckoned her to join. The mental blur and confusion gone and her mind refocused on the match, Sunny nodded her head. "Ready!"

Now bringing her hands up, Sunny went to lock up with Yuki.

Once Yuki had given a confirmatory nod of her head, she was back in the game, her expression going serious as she narrowed her eyes and tensed her fingers tighter around Sunny's own as she returned the lockup. She might have wanted to encourage the newcomer to perfect her craft and reach greater heights, but Yuki wasn't her trainer. She was her opponent, and she was still in this match to win it.

Giving a shove back on Sunny's hands, Yuki hoped to offset the balance between them in the hopes of better gaining an advantage on her. If she could stagger her, Yuki's next move would be to swing her leg out with a swift kick aimed to Sunny's side!

As the two locked up, Sunny stared right into the face of her opponent. That was a close call back there, and next time she vowed to strike quicker instead of showboating. Her guise hardened as she hoped to overpower Yuki in the lockup.

However, she was not ready for the quick shove back from Yuki, staggering her backwards off balance. Before she could steady herself, Sunny took a sharp kick to the side, resulting in her keeling over in pain and grabbing her waist.

Yuki could feel Sunny's hands grip her own tighter, and she watched her closely, prepared for her to fight back. Before the blonde could act, though, Yuki had already struck out with her kick, which landed on its mark in Sunny's side and forced her to bend forward.

This would play well into Yuki's offense from here. Now that Sunny was bent over, Yuki could better close in and drape her arm around her neck to put her in a facelock. Then, she kicked her foot off the ground to fall back quickly, slamming Sunny's back into the canvas with a snap suplex!

Sunny lurched forward in reaction to the sharp kick, her entire side going lame as she absorbed the strike. With the pain shooting across her body and freezing her in a hunched over position she was helpless to prevent Yuki from putting her into a facelock.

Suddenly, she could feel her feet leave the ground as Yuki launched her backwards in a snap suplex. Any pain that Sunny was feeling from the kick was immediately supplanted by a violent volt up her back as her body slammed right onto the canvas. Her voice muted from the aftershock, she could only lie silently writhing in agony.

Letting Sunny fly back behind her, and feeling the rumble of the mat under her feet as her opponent landed, Yuki straightened herself back up with a huff. Wringing out her arms, she assessed the state of Sunny's stamina, and how well she would be able to resist. She certainly seemed winded from that landing - and with that in mind, Yuki was sure she had the floor to perform one of her devastating aerial maneuvers.

The crowd started to cheer as they saw what Yuki was setting up, the Japanese girl running to the corner and hopping up to the top turnbuckle. As she threw her hands up in the air, Yuki signaled them to cheer her on even louder, as she would then leap off the ropes before flipping backward to land atop Sunny with a springboard moonsault!

Sunny laid on the mat, every inch of her body enveloped by a coat of stiffness and pain. It felt like all the air was squeezed out of her lungs, as she weakly gasped for air and could only stare up at the bright lights above.

Out of the corner of her eye, she could see Yuki's figure flipping in air towards her. Everything felt like it was in slow motion; the Japanese girl seemed to be in the air for an abnormal amount of time, yet she was powerless to move. As the figure crashed right onto her upper body, Sunny gave a pained, yet exhausted groan. A new layer of pain was added to her torso; it felt like someone had dropped a bowling ball on top of her chest.

Sunny could only lay there, hoping to gather her strength and get back into the fight. I've got to get up!
