Breaking Out (Reiko and Tia)

Reiko pulled her fist back in a smooth motion, letting out a small 'osu' as she exhaled. "Yeah, karate does that for you." Her opponent might be smiling, but Reiko's face was indifferent. It might not be as fast or offensive as boxing, but she knew how to push her weight into a punch and make it hurt. It wasn't a cool or elegant to her as aikido moves though, so she held those techniques back in the ring unless she could make it flashy. But in a spar... no, she was going all out and using everything, especially after the near cheap shot earlier. "Now try this!"

Reiko wasn't going to stop now. She swung her leg for a roundhouse right at her opponent's jaw while she was still in range.

[The Riders]

Seeing that little grin on the girl face as she let out a small "OSU" that makes her smile even more, seeing another good little fighter in front of her but in a different style and form. Her opponent is just full of surprises and Tia wants to see how far she can push Reiko to bring her talents out and show everyone what she is made of.

"First Mistake... Calling out your attacks like some video or cartoon character." Tia lectures the young girl, her hands raised up to block the kick but is sent back due to the force of said kick. Shaking her hands and arms to keep them lose, while placing her hands behind her back a stern look on her that also is a bit disappointed.

Terrible... You had a prefect chance to nail a critical blow and yet you yell out your attack." That is a rookie level mistake Young One... "

Reiko flinched at the sudden scolding, setting her foot down. For a second she almost went down into seiza before remembering where she was. "I... I know that..." She smoothed out her dougi, pouting. Okay, so maybe she got a little excited, but still.... she was doing good for the most part. At least that's what Reiko thought.

[The Riders]

"You say you know that and yet you did it anyway... If this happened in the ring or somewhere else you would have either been blocked and countered... or worse." still in her teacher mode... or what her students like to call Stern mode. As she keeps walking back and forth explaining why Reiko should have not done that.

"You realize if I wanted to I could have blocked that kick and swept you off your feet.? Very disappointed right now at you ...But we will do this again until you get it right.. Now repeat your kicks to my face." She yell's out holding her hands up in the same position ready to block the kick again. "Begin.."

Reiko frowned, biting her lip as the lecture continued. As much as she wanted to talk back, she neither had an excuse nor a comeback. And even if she did the stern tone of her now apparent teacher scared her into behaving. Yeah, this definitely felt like she was back at the dojo again. It was almost laughable how much the two looked like a master and student training right now, if not for the two's completely opposite style of attire. The only thing keeping Reiko from going into seiza were the eyes watching them, and the lack of wood or tatami under her feet.

"H-Hai, Sensei..." Reiko kept her head and eyes down, only looking up once her apparent teacher gave her the okay to try again. She took her stance again, focusing her eyes on the target- "Doriyaaaa!" Then swung her leg up in a sharp and fluid motion for a front kick at Tia's jaw with little hesitation.

The loud thud of the smaller girl leg slamming into her arm hard, what is most surprising is the impact and force behind the kick as it sends Tia stumbling backwards and her arms a tingling numbing feeling. Shaking her arms to keep them loose as she gives the smaller girl a big smile and grin on her face.

"Well done I felt that one you know, lot of power behind those kick's of yours I'm impressed at you... Are you ready for your next lesson ... ummm What is your name again..?" eager to teach her more and already debating on what she going to focus on next many ideas as she thinks about making sure if her ground and pound is decent.

Reiko smiled, placing her fists at her hips as her foot came back down. That was a good reaction she got from the kick. Reiko's body was small, but karate had taught her how to put weight behind her strikes. "Osu!" She looked back at the woman, grinning wide. Maybe this wouldn't be too bad a training session. "Reiko. Maizono Reiko. Amano in the ring, though."

[The Riders]

Tia can't help but chuckle seeing the younger girl grinning and pumped up after that kick she threw, having to fight herself from trying to reach out and pat the top of the girl head. But she clears her throat and goes back into being the calm teacher mode, letting out a cough to get things back on track for now.

"Very good form Reiko.. Now the next lesson is simple.. I will test your ground game and try to lock in different submission holds." she explains what she going to do, her arms crossed in front of her as she hopes the younger girl would be able to keep up. "Now let's begin and DODGE.."

As she yells out to dodge she is already lunging forward, planning on tackling Reiko to the mat. If she can get the girl to the mat she can really test and see what she made of.

"Hai!" Reiko nodded, getting herself in her typical Aikido stance, ready to grapple. Fighting on the ground was something she could handle. She was already learning a lot from Himeko and Nanase. Anymore advice this teacher could give might help, or maybe Reiko could even impress her by doing better than expected.

Either way, as the teacher charged at Reiko she met the woman head-on, ultimately hitting the match, but wrapping her legs around her teacher's waist before a mount could take place to limit her options.

Tia doing a classic takedown of Reiko easily able to slam her opponent to the mat hard. But not to hard since she is going to be drilling more techniques into the younger girl head. Seeing how quickly her opponent leg's wrapped around hers halting her chance to mount into top position, Tia squares up and starts to throw hook's to Reiko body. Seeing what she going to do when an opponent starts to rain blows to force an opening.

"Block..." She yells out.
