Cecilia Lombard vs. Roxanne Rose [D]

While LAW might have had a good few smother specialists, Cecilia wasn't one of them - especially not now. Since her return to LAW after her defeat in the Last Woman Standing tournament, Cecilia was out to dominate the competition through her sheer merciless brutality. She was out to hurt people, and Roxanne was just one of those people she considered to be in her way! Now that Roxanne was down, she grabbed her legs, rolling her onto her stomach and cranking on her back as she locked in the cloverleaf!

She clenched her teeth, leaning back further and arching her back to inflict more pressure against her opponent. Despite Cecilia's best efforts, though, Roxanne wasn't about to break. She steeled herself in defiance, pushing ahead to try and use the ropes to free herself - something Cecilia was not amused by!

"Stay down-!" she hissed, looking back over her shoulder at Roxanne from out of the corner of her eye. She tried to lean back further to increase the force even more, but one way or another, Roxanne's efforts would still bring her closer to the ropes.

"Like hell!" Roxanne repled to her opponent's plee to stay down. Eventually, through sheer determination and will, Roxanne made it to the ropes, forcing the break. Roxanne looked up at her opponent, who honestly impressed her so far. Roxanne wondered if Cecilia felt the same way, "Looks like we're at a stalemate..." Roxanne commented in her thick Alabama accent. Roxanne stood up and would attempt a discus clothesline. If successful, she would lock her opponent in a Romero Special, further wearing down her opponent, and making her basically helpless in the process...

Cecilia was by no means pleased that Roxanne was fighting against her attempts to put the pressure on her as much as she was. Even as she held tight to her legs to keep her in place and bore her weight down on her back, Roxanne was still inching closer and closer to the ropes. Cecilia hissed and snarled in frustration, looking back over her shoulder at Roxanne with a glare that would tell the country girl she was going to make her sorry if she escaped. But soon enough, Roxanne got to the ropes, and as the ref called for a rope break, Cecilia begrudgingly let her go, walking away with a huff and dusting herself off. Coming back to the center of the ring, she turned to face Roxanne with a glare.

"For how long, though?" Cecilia snapped back. Though she had her eyes locked onto Roxanne, however, she wasn't able to move aside in time to dodge her next move. Roxanne came charging straight forward, and Cecilia began to duck to the side, but she was a moment late, and the force of the country girl's arm as it swung in an arc toward her was enough to take her off her feet, sending her toppling head over heels to the mat below!

Groaning, Cecilia reached for her aching head, rubbing at her temples. But it wasn't long until Roxanne was on her case again, planting her foot against Cecilia's back and hooking her legs into place around her own before she fell to her back, hoisting Cecilia up into the air with her limbs restrained! Feeling the pressure mounting on her shoulders and back, Cecilia hissed from the pain. She began to toss herself from side to side, but she made little progress, and was at Roxanne's mercy!

Roxanne was pleased that this rough Detroit woman was, at least at the moment, completely at her mercy. The only problem was, was that this particuler hold was extremely awkward to hold onto for extended periods of time, and, coupled with her opponent's wild struggling. Roxanne found it just as painful and awkward to keep this hold on to this hold as Cecilia was being in the hold. Eventually, Roxanne realized that this hold was pointless to hold on to, so she just dropped Cecilia. As much as Cecilia hated it, this truly was a stalemate.

With Cecilia in the Romero Special, many fans in the crowd were left wondering how she hoped to get out of this one. With her limbs restrained and her body held in the air, Cecilia was completely immobilized and helpless. She was suspended over Roxanne, her teeth clenched in a frustrated snarl, and even as she shook back and forth, she made little progress in loosening her foe's hold on her.

Soon, Cecilia realized her efforts were fruitless. But it was then that a thought came to her. If breaking free wouldn't work, she would just have to let nature run its course. At once, Cecilia's struggles ceased, and a smile came over her face. She let her head drop limply, looking down at Roxanne beneath her. Even upside down, the country girl could see the smug sense of superiority in her eyes.

After all, if Cecilia had an ace up her sleeve, it was in her natural flexibility. She was quite used to bending her body in ways that many found unnatural, and as such, she could last out submission moves that could cripple most other wrestlers without feeling much more than a little bit of discomfort. And as a submission specialist herself, Cecilia knew this move well. She knew of the tremendous strain it put on the user just to support their opponent's weight - and if she could last it out long enough, she was sure that Roxanne's strength would eventually give out.

Soon enough, that promised moment came, as Roxanne was forced to let Cecilia go. The Detroit native rolled to the side, rubbing at her shoulder as she raised herself to a seated position with a scowl aimed back at her opponent. While Roxanne was down, though, Cecilia saw her chance! She pushed herself back up to her feet, closing in on her foe while she was still on her back. If she had the opportunity, Cecilia would grab Roxanne's legs, bending them into place around her own before she dropped onto her back to apply a figure four leglock!

Roxanne felt Cecilia's body collapse on hers, she was almost certain she was going for a pin, but, her opponent had other ideas. As Roxanne was trying to recover from the exhaustive submission hold, she felt her legs being tangled up in a figure four leg lock! As soon as Cecilia hit the mat, Roxanne let a brief, yet very audible groan/scream. Roxanne had to admit, this girl didn't give up, as much as she hated to admit it, this damn Yankee was pretty good, but, even she had to learn a few things about Southern resolve. Roxanne began the long and painful crawl toward the ropes...

Cecilia was keeping Roxanne guessing, and as far as she was concerned, that just meant that everything was playing to her favor. The less her opponent could expect and anticipate what she was going to do next, the easier it was for Cecilia to keep her under control. All she knew was that right now, everything was falling into place. Hearing Roxanne cry out in pain, Cecilia merely leaned back with a smirk on her face, relishing the rush that came from being in control.

She felt herself beginning to be dragged along the mat, too, as Roxanne made a break for the ropes, taking her along for the ride. Cecilia, however, wouldn't let this deter her. Lifting her head up from the mat, she settled her gaze on Roxanne and grinned. "Running away? Hmph...maybe I should've gone harder." Punctuating her words, Cecilia flexed the muscles in her legs, looking to tighten up on her hold!

Roxanne ignored her opponent's taunts and continued to crawl toward the ropes. Through sheer determination, or just plain stubbornness, Roxanne made it to the bottom rope, forcing the break. Roxanne slowly began to stand up. She was clearly tired, and it seemed to Roxanne that her Detroit-born opponent was getting frustrated. The LAW crowd was on its feet. Whoever won this match earned it. Roxanne would wait for her opponent to get back on her feet, and try and lock in another bearhug. Sure, she had done it before, but, it seemed that it would be more effective at this point of the match...

Cecilia tried her best to keep the pressure on her opponent, squeezing her legs with as much force as she could summon. She grit her teeth, hanging on tight. Roxanne was proving a frustrating foe to keep under control, and no matter how hard Cecilia tried to force a submission from her, the country girl was coming closer and closer to the ropes. Hissing, Cecilia practically spat in her direction as she balled one fist and punched at the canvas. "Come ON-!" she growled. But no matter how hard she tried, Roxanne was too tough a nut to crack - and she soon made it to the ropes, forcing a break!

With the referee breaking the two apart, Cecilia had no choice but to let her opponent go, getting to her feet and grumbling as she dusted herself off. She locked her eyes on Roxanne, storming in closer as she prepared to retaliate...only to walk right into the path of Roxanne's bear hug, as she was swept off her feet and into her clutches!

Clenching her teeth, Cecilia groaned and hissed, twisting herself back and forth as her ribs buckled against the pressure. This was bad, she told herself - Roxanne knew her way around some crushing holds, and with Cecilia already growing winded from what she'd been put through in this match, she didn't know if she would be able to power out of this one.

If there was one thing Cecilia had over Roxanne, though, it was her craftiness - and her willingness to go to whatever lengths she had to to secure the advantage! When she was sure the ref was looking away, Cecilia would suddenly kick her leg up, aiming her knee right between Roxanne's legs for the low blow!

If Roxanne was going to be brutally honest, she didn't think that this move would work. Her opponent was way too determined to submit to a basic move like this. Sure enough, her struggling proved hard to resist, plus, and again, Roxanne was being honest here, Cecilia was kind of cute. What Roxanne didn't expect was how Cecilia was going to break the hold: a low blow with her knee. Roxanne let go of the hold, doubled over in pain. Roxanne's pained expression turned into a disappointed look as she looked up at her opponent, "A low blow? I expected better from you...
