Molly Forster [D] vs. Mika Yuriko

Feeling a resounding thud as her hit landed, Molly let out a cheer for herself, hopping up in the air a little as she held up her fist. Flashing a grin back at Mika, she started to get back into a stance. Now that Mika was down, the Englishwoman hoped she might be able to keep her momentum alive.

This time, though, she wouldn't be quite as lucky. Having spent the time celebrating, she gave Mika extra time to recover, and when she was ready to charge for her with a knee strike, Mika quickly got back up, letting Molly slip by her. With an "Ow-!", Molly dropped to one knee against the canvas.

Mika had not paid much attention to Molly, her goal was to get up and get away quickly from the girl more than anything so as she stood she wasn't aware of Molly striking the canvas with a knee. Seemed Molly was a tad overzealous with her celebrations after each move, something Mika could attest to from her debut that had not gone so favorably.

So, she aimed to capitalize on her opponent's debut mistep as she worked to get back up and ran the ropes.

"Platinum Wave!" Mika called out, with her need to name big moves of hers this one named after her stage persona as she ran the ropes while she yelled and aimed to deliver a running leg lariat to Molly's chest while she was on a knee.

Still feeling sore from the botched landing, Molly rubbed at her leg, trying to focus herself as she clenched her teeth in a grimace. "Come on, come on..." she muttered to herself in order to convince herself to get back up. She was still rough when she had to be in the ring on her own, without her sister to cover for her, and here she was feeling the consequences of that.

Molly would also still learn the consequences of taking her eyes off her opponent for too long, too, as she heard the other girl call out her next attack. She looked back up at the source of the noise only to see Mika coming charging back towards her with her leg outstretched! Molly's eyes went wide with a gasp, and with a loud crack and a scream she was taken down to the mat, landing on her back as she clutched her chest and groaned in pain. Though she was tense from the impact, she looked up at Mika and spoke in between pants. "That...was cool..."

Aw yes that was too cool!

Naturally, Mika was quite pleased with herself as she delivered her athletic kick across Molly's chest. Scoring a clean hit with some style to boot, enough style to even get a compliment from her opponent which was a surprise as Mika smiled down at Molly.

"Thanks! But I am just getting started so apologies in advance but the future Platinum star of L.A.W. is here to put on a show!" Mika said, offering a warning and apology as she made her bold claim and was quick to try to follow up her leg lariat as she got back to her feet. Her plan this time was to roll along the ground to the side of Molly...her aim to build momentum and then leap over Molly and try to land with a rolling senton across her gut to try and drive the wind out of her currently downed opponent.

It was moments like this that made Molly feel more confident about getting into the ring. Facing off against an opponent with the same sense for bravado and theatrics as herself, even seeing Mika come up with such amazing techniques and announcing them with flair...it felt just like she was in a heated anime battle. That experience was almost worth the pain she felt in her chest as she tried to prop herself up. She made a mental note that she would need to do things like that in the future. Even Mika seemed to recognize Molly's genuine appreciation for her, and it made her smile grow a little wider. She was glad to know the two could meet each other on friendly terms.

But whether or not she was being friendly, Molly would still be remiss if she didn't give this her all. And as she saw Mika come running back towards her, she knew she couldn't have good things in store for the Englishwoman. Summoning her strength, Molly clenched her teeth, suddenly throwing her weight over to the side to roll away from her charge so that Mika's senton would only send her flopping onto the canvas.

By the time Molly rolled out of the way, it had been too late for Mika to come to a stop as she already had flipped over for the senton. Her eyes widened as she knew she was gonna miss her target as she just tried to brace herself for the impact that was bound to come.

"Gah!" Mika cried out as she squirmed a bit, her back sore from the sudden impact on the canvas as it had been a stinging blow. One that left her momentarily prone for her opponent if she could take advantage of it.

Still weary from the damage she had just taken, Molly wasn't sure that she would still have it in her to fight back after receiving a senton - particularly not one Mika was so confident in that she saw fit to name and present with such flair. But Molly was still able to turn things to her advantage, as she rolled out of the way, leaving Mika to slam onto the canvas instead!

Seeing she was stunned, the Englishwoman smirked, confident in the opportunity that she now saw laid before her. And she figured that if Mika wanted to get into it, she might as well too. With a wink, Molly turned her self around on her hands to face the downed Mika, moving to kick out with her legs to ensnare her own.

"Uhh...figure four leglock!" she called out excitedly. She realized she was going to have to work on names for her moves.

Mika groaned a bit as she tried to work her way to her feet, but unfortunately Molly had been quick to take advantage of the situation as she felt her legs being grabbed as she heard Molly's less than creative name before she felt that figure-four leglock applied.

"AGH! O-owie owie owie!" Mika cried out in obvious pain as she began to thrash about in place as she felt the pain surge from her legs as she groaned and almost whined about as she flailed but remained firmly locked in the center of the ring. The referee was quick to keep an eye on Mika in the event she made any signal for a submission but Mika showed no signs yet. Trying to grit her teeth as she scratched and clawed at the canvas around her feeling the pain behind the pressure that was continuously applied to her legs.

Even if Molly would have preferred more time to work out her theatrics, she still managed to pull of her figure four well enough. The cries of pain coming from Mika was enough to tell her that she was doing things right - and now that things were in her favor, she was going to keep that momentum going.

With a smirk on her face growing wider as the adrenaline rush of confidence set in, Molly kept her legs squeezed down hard around Mika's, constricting her opponent's lower body. Mika tried to claw at the mat, but Molly would only increase the pressure, bridging her back and lifting her hips off the mat. She kept up her positive attitude, sure she could win - but on the flip side, this meant she was less aware of Mika's struggles causing her to grow closer to the ropes.

"Do you want to give it up!? Do you want to call it!?"

"OW! Oh owie agh! N-no!"

The referee had been right by Mika's side as the question of whether she wanted to submit or not was raised, and in spite of the cries of pain the lightweight yelled out she held on defiantly for the moment but felt that pain only increase as Molly bridged her back.

For a girl in her first match Molly sure knew what she was doing, but those subtle signs of rookie-experience showed to even someone with only a few more matches herself under her belt. As Mika clawed and flailed about, she noticed how close she was to the ropes as her clawing on the mat had dragged them close to it. Something Molly had not seemed to notice yet as she groaned in pain but clawed forward as she tried to subtly drag them close enough to the ropes that she could extend her hand to go for a rope break.
