Cecilia Lombard vs. Megumi Mutoh

Cecilia's attempts to psyche Megumi out didn't prove as successful as she would have liked, as she saw her opponent didn't put much energy into blocking her shots. That proved somewhat disappointing, and she huffed softly under her breath. Still, she thought, she was dealing with a veteran, and she should've figured she'd be wiser than to fall for a move like that. This would prove challenging for Cecilia, who often relied on playing mind games to weaken her opponents and manuever them into tricker spots. She'd have to go a step beyond if she wanted to gain an edge on Megumi.

That being said, it was still effective at distracting Megumi from the kick that would soon be impacting her stomach, and just as Cecilia had hoped, she was left reeling, doubling forward over her leg. Seeing Megumi coughing and bending over, Cecilia smiled wider. After having had a less than positive experience with the Japanese woman thus far, this was a welcome sight.

"You like that, do you?" came her response. "How about more of it?" Getting cocky, and trying to press her luck, Cecilia prepared to bring her knee back up to deliver another blow to Megumi's stomach. But this time, she was ready, and Cecilia found her leg caught before it could land on its intended target. She only had a few seconds to realise her mistake before Megumi twisted to the side and sent the two of them crashing to the mat, Cecilia making impact first with a hiss of pain as she landed on her side.

Sending Cecilia down the mat, Megumi took two seconds to take a deep breath as she recovered from the kick. Still holding Cecilia by her leg, she decided that she might as well go for a submission hold as she would grab Cecilia's other leg, arranging them into a figure four on her own, putting her opponent in a figure four leglock, applying pressure on Cecilia's leg.

"Let's see if this can shut you up!" Megumi said as she would arch her body up while applying the figure four with both hands on the canvas, looking to cause intense pain on both Cecilia's legs. "Or better yet, scream!" She added, looking to teach her opponent a lesson for thinking that she could defeat the Genius One in the ring.

Not letting go of Cecilia's leg, Megumi turned herself around to lay on the mat, bringing Cecilia into a figure four leglock. Sure enough, the American heel hissed in pain, crying out from the pressure of her opponent's legs crushing her own. Her back arched off the mat as her spine coiled in pain, and she had to grit her teeth to prevent any more unseemly displays of weakness, her face going red with exertion. She didn't want to make Megumi look like she had this - her pride made that unforgivable.

But what Megumi didn't realize was that Cecilia still had an out. Being a submission specialist who reveled in causing pain and humiliation to her opponents in order to punish and humble them, Cecilia was no stranger to the figure four herself, and she knew how it could be reversed. She'd done it before, and it had been done to her more than she would care to admit. But now was her time for that. Trying to bear through the pain, Cecilia fought to roll herself onto her stomach in order to shift control to her.

Megumi would keep applying pressure in the figure four leglock, hoping to weaken Cecilia's legs with the submission hold. But her opponent seemed to have some plan as she rolled herself onto her stomach, and Megumi found herself losing her control over the hold as she began to feel the move being reversed against her. "Aaah!!" She yelped, wincing from the sudden counter, but she would quickly rein herself, keeping her wits despite knowing that her opponent had used her move against her.

Being rolled onto her stomach as well, Megumi was looking to regain control by rolling over once again so that she could end up on her back. By doing so, the two of them would be nearing the ropes, which Megumi could use in case of an emergency. From there, she would keep applying pressure in the hold, hoping that she could continue dealing damages on Cecilia's legs.

Cecilia chuckled to herself, hearing Megumi's cries of pain as soon as she managed to turn herself over. That, she knew, just meant it was working - just as she had planned. "Enjoying that?" she said, clenching down tighter.

But Cecilia didn't have much time to enjoy her victory, as Megumi flipped over once again, drawing a yelp from the American girl as the pressure was back on her. "Why, you-!" she snapped as she glared back at her opponent, but she found it hard to express her thoughts when Megumi was bearing down on her legs. She clenched her teeth and growled in pain before falling back against the mat. Still, they had been brought nearer to the ropes in the process, and Cecilia saw her opportunity. She clawed at the canvas, trying to drag herself closer - close enough to get the rope break.

Regaining control in the hold, Megumi would clench her legs much tighter, applying pressure on Cecilia's legs. But with her nearing the ropes, the same could also be said for Cecilia as the ropes were already within her arm's reach. As she kept on applying pressure in the figure four, Megumi saw Cecilia reaching for the ropes, grabbing the bottom rope fora rope break.

Seeing this, Megumi had no choice but to release Cecilia from the hold before the ref got fussy. Untangling her legs from Cecilia's, she would scoot back before getting back on her feet. Right after that, she planned to keep her distance from Cecilia to see what she would do next. She hoped that the figure four leglock had weakened her opponent's legs a little, giving Megumi more leverage over her.

As she rose to her feet, Cecilia bent forward at the waist, rubbing at her legs as they had been rendered sore from both the upkeep of her own hold and the times Megumi turned it on her. She hissed under her breath in frustration, finding it harder to keep her balance for a few brief moments, and she had to reach out against the ropes to better brace herself. Soon, though, she regained her balance, and she got back up, staring Megumi down.

"You have a lot of nerve, trying to turn my moves on me like that," she said with a scowl. Not even giving Megumi much of a chance to respond, however, Cecilia immediately ran forward towards Megumi with another strike ready. One arm was raised in front of her, readying another clothesline. But her other arm was held up higher, with her fingers coiled - if she got off with the first strike, she would follow it up by grabbing a fistful of Megumi's hair to pull her forward and gain control of her head. From there, she hoped to use the leverage to flip her off her feet with her free arm.

"Hey now, you were the one who reversed it first," Megumi pointed out, but she figured that someone like Cecilia was quite hard to reason with, so she thought that it would be just a waste of breath talking to her. Preparing herself for Cecilia's move, she would take a stance, widening the distance between her feet as she lowered herself, getting herself ready for whatever Cecilia would try to pull out.

As she saw Cecilia rushing over to her, Megumi figured that she was trying to use a clothesline on her, and Megumi would prepare herself to duck under her arm, avoiding the attack. But, as Megumi ducked under her arm, Cecilia then followed it up by grabbing her hair, causing the former Wrestle Angel to shriek in pain.

"Aaahh!!"

Wincing, Megumi felt intense pain on her scalp as Cecilia tugged on her hair. Before the referee could come to Cecilia to chastise her for her obviously cheap move, Megumi was flipped off her feet and sent down onto the mat.

"Uuughhh!!"

The landing was far from graceful, and Megumi groaned in pain as she tried to nurse her back, momentarily putting herself in a vulnerable position before her opponent.

Cecilia chose not to heed Megumi's correction to her taunt. Even if the ex-Wrestle Angel was right, the last thing Cecilia wanted was to admit that Megumi was anything other than some hotshot who didn't know her place. Even if she might've had years more experience and championship runs under her belt.

The girl's clothesline didn't make its mark, and that was a bit frustrating to Cecilia, who growled under her breath - she would've wanted Megumi to be in as much pain as she could manage in the name of her own sadistic desires. Still, that was just one part of her plan, and Cecilia was able to snag onto Megumi's hair without a hitch. As the Japanese woman cried out in pain, Cecilia met her screams with a smirk of contentment, pleased to know that her opponent was suffering at her hands. Even if she only needed this for extra leverage, she wasn't complaining at all that Megumi was hurt by it.

With her opponent bent over forward, Cecilia wouldn't have much trouble flipping her off her feet, turning her over through the air and onto her back. From there, she was lined up for one of Cecilia's submissions. But the match was far from over yet, and even if it would be a simple move, Cecilia wanted to toy with her prey before it was done. She sat down behind where Megumi lay, snickering softly as she wrapped her thighs around the veteran's neck and, crossing them over one another, proceeded into a headscissor. "Let's see how long you last."

Nursing her back as she lay on the mat, Megumi had no real way to defend herself, which allowed Cecilia to take advantage of her vulnerable position by getting down and wrapping her thighs around her head, putting her in a headscissor. "Hrghh!!" Feeling her opponent's legs clamping around her head, the former Wrestle Angel was starting to have difficulty breathing and thinking properly, and she knew that if she couldn't free herself from this, she might be forced to submit to Cecilia, and she wouldn't want that to happen.

So, as she was subjected to the painful headscissor, Megumi would struggle for a bit, trying to get herself out of the hold before she attempted to roll herself over, bringing Cecilia with her, looking for a better angle for her to slip her head out of the headscissor. She would get on her knees as she would bring her hands to Cecilia's thighs, looking to pry those legs off of her head, trying to free herself from the submission hold. She knew that she would be left weakened afterwards, but at the very least, she would have to try freeing herself first if she wanted to turn things around in her favor in this match.

"Nngghhh... rrghhh...!!"
