A New Star! - Blaise and Asuka Wakahisa

Ohhh, Blaise could see calling it a flop needled at her. It was delicious, and he knew he was a horrible, horrible person for saying it. It'll make the reveal all the more fun. That is, if he could get to a point where the reveal would be good! It's like holding the 'Draw 4' card at Uno. You can't just play that all willy-nilly!

"I'm not saying to do it to me!," he insists. "Like, okay. Martial artists can demonstrate moves without puttin' someone in a hospital. Is your other move like the first? Where it has to have someone to land on? Or is it like a spinkick? Is it a throw?" He perks and twists about, not unlike a meerkat. "Do they have those slam-dummies around here..?"

"Well I have to lift someone up into it." She was almost whining, pleading even at this point, not sure how to better explain it to him. She just wanted him to get it! "No... One is the aerial moonsaults and the other is a lift-slam type... thing." She put her head in her hands, groaning as she pulled back her face to either side, going squinty eyed for a moment before her face returned to normal. Why was this so hard to explain?

She blinked at the last question... that was a good one actually. She found herself craning her neck, also looking around for a remedy for this conversation she was struggling through. "I don't know... that would certainly help though."

Alas, no slam-dummies are available for her perusal! At least, none that Blaise can see. It also seems the inability to properly explain the move is really getting to her! So without further ado, he attempts to kick things into gear manually by hopping up to his full height.

"We're gettin' nowhere fast! Come on!," he calls. Without further explaining, he walks with purpose to the ring dominating the room and slips beneath the bottom rope. Normally, his entrance would include a grand display of nimble acrobatics and style! But that would likely cause her to ask some questions.

Whether or not she's opted to follow him so far, he pivots on heel in the middle of the ring. "Show me some'a your moves! I mean," he innocently links his hands behind his back and dips his head in a deliberate show of modesty, "It doesn't have to be a finisher. I trust ya to not break me in half, but I'm dyin' to see what you can do. Don't worry, I'm tough! You can gimme a little something!"

She issued Blaise a quizzical look, slowly rising to her feet. She didn't follow right away, not until she saw where he was going. She sighed softly, stepping up and over the bench he had previously been seated on as she followed after. She wondered if her warning just flew in one ear and out the other. Reaching up, she hoisted herself up on the apron of the ring. Arms folded, she leans on the ropes as she watched him.

She had a mild look of concern on her face. She was confident in her abilities to guide him through a move. That was fine, her execution was top notch. The landing parts, those were on him. Untrained, she really didn't think he grasped how dangerous this could be. That said... there were plenty of moves she knew that didn't require slamming him around or hitting him too hard. Ducking down she kicked a leg through the top and middle ropes to enter the ring.

"Okay, but nothing big or flashy... I'm afraid I'm going to hurt you or something. I can show you some basic stuff. Do you know anything about professional wrestling moves, or even holds?" She rubbed the back of her neck as she went to join him in the center of the ring. She bounced a bit on the balls of her sneakers, getting a feel for the stiff practice ring.

The facade wasn't something he'd originally set out to perpetrate, but Blaise is committed to the act at this point. He isn't sure how long it'll hold up, but he's anxiously awaiting that perfect opportune time to spring his know-how and capabilities on her! He just hopes the pay-off will be worth pretending to be this hapless. Though the fact that she hasn't questioned his attire leads him to believe it will be. Hopefully she'll be boggled over why she never made the connection!

Blaise nips onto his bottom lip in an effort to suppress a grin as he prepares for her. "Well, sure I do!," he boasts. His stance deepens, knees bending, and his hands raise at the ready. "We're supposed to start with like a, a lockup! Right? Come'ere!"

If she approaches any further, he'll attempt to catch the girl in a grapple! But said grapple would be a bit haphazard, with his hands pawing all about her shoulders and neck in a - deliberate, mind you! - mess of unfamiliarity. "Wait, it's like.. hold on... my hands go here, right? Wait..."

Asuka had judged him on his words, not his attire. She actually hadn't even looked him over thoroughly this entire time. While Blaise may have thought he was being cheeky and playful holding back his knowledge and profession, he was actually doing more harm than good when it came to the brownie points he had accrued from their previous back and forth.

She lifted her arms, stepping closer in an attempt to explain. "It doesn't always start in a lock up bu-" She went stone silent as he just grabbed at her, awkwardly standing there as he just put his hands on her. Her lips pulled tight as she just stared at him in a look that spoke volumes of him overstepping some invisible line with her right now. She considered punching him for a moment, without knowing his wrestling background he was coming across as a very gropey fan at the moment. She had had her fair share of packed train rides in Japan to know this sort of thing wasn't exactly rare.

Asuka took a long deep breath before reaching up to gently guide his hands off of her. "Just... Here, let me show you." She had the patience of a saint today. She reached out to set a hand on his shoulder, giving it a pat before moving it further along where her palm rested between his collar and neck. "Standard tie-up hold, one arm goes here." She would wait for him to mirror her, if he didn't she would take his hand to guide it up to the right spot. "Firm grip. If this gets shaken off you lose control of your opponent. Got it?" She then lifted her other arm resting her palm along his inner elbow of the outstretched arm. She gave a small tug to demonstrate the strength he should keep in the initial arm holding her. "Like this... The idea is you want to force them to make a move, or break free from the lock up in an unexpected way, to follow up with something else."

Ideal groping real-estate doesn't exactly live on the neck or shoulders, so Blaise hadn't really considered that. He's still at full-tilt playfulness, anticipating an amusing payoff. But the look she gives him gets a headtilt. Where's that coming from?

He lets it go as soon as she starts relocating his hands. He follows instruction dutifully, putting on a show of knowing none of the finer points. But what she says finally gives him that opportunity to drop the ruse! And ideally her defenses will be down!

"So the idea's to do something like this?"

The grapple is instantly adjusted, attempting to capture her right wrist and in a single fluid motion, weave it in behind her back! The end result would be a picture-perfect hammerlock, though the pressure applied would be kept at a very light level.

She was thankful he was taking to her instruction, her smile slowly making its way back. She found it hard not to be cheerful when she was talking about wrestling, even in this small capacity. It meant a lot to her, but also her family. Good memories, fond memories. She gave Blaise a small firm shake when they were locked in, though wasn't really applying herself to the hold. It was just a demonstration after all.

She arched a brow when he started to talk. What was he even going to try? She supposed she should be a good sport and play al- She yelped as she was caught by complete surprise, wincing as her arm was tucked back behind her. On instinct she pushed herself up on her tip toes to try and manage the pressure, even if much wasn't being applied.

How did he do that?! Was he a trainer at the gym or something? Had he be stringing her along this whole time. Her face took on a bright shade of red as she hung her head, trying to hide her embarrassment behind her hair. "Y-yeah... Just like that actually." She had a small accusatory tone to her voice. She didn't seem angry at him though, surprisingly enough. She was more upset with herself at the moment for getting punked so thoroughly.

She wiggled and squirmed a bit, testing how much he actually had her locked in. Glancing back over her shoulder towards Blaise, Asuka narrowed her eyes in an unspoken challenge. She dipped her head suddenly in the direction of the arm that was locked, going low as she tried to quickly unwind her arm to break free while simultaneously stomping a foot down behind him. She'd try to shove her weight into him with her arm he still held, hopefully tripping him over the leg she had just planted.

When she looks back at him, she'll be met with a broad, bright smile, very pleased with the way this had turned out. But what she isn't met with is a blatant explanation for what just happened! Her accusatory tone and that look in her eye actually leaves Blaise uncertain to whether or not she'd figured him out! But he's savoring the moment for all it's worth.

He doesn't even care that she's working her way free! Heck, he'd expected it. After all, he's taken her at face value and therefore believes her to be pretty spectacular in the ring. It isn't that he just lets it happen, though! When she starts to twist, he tries to tighten the lock on her wrist a little more. But it's too little, too late, and Asuka will find herself freed and Blaise falling back, tripped over her leg! He lands with a light 'thump' on the mat, and quickly props himself up on his hands.

Again, she's met with a peppy grin.

No more holding back. No more pretending to be less than he is (for whatever that may be worth in the long run). The teen curls back into a reverse roll, arms shooting out to pop himself into a sudden handstand that ultimately ends with him alighting gracefully on his boots. In no time, he's rushing in again to attempt locking up with her!

This time around, the lockup would be instantaneous and exacting, along with an immediate attempt to pour in steady force and gain leverage. That is, if he catches her in the first place!

It wasn't the prettiest escape, but she wasn't exactly on her A game at the moment. After a long run in the gym and getting caught off guard like this? She was far from prepared for an impromptu match. She have shoved him, hard, and as intended he toppled back over her leg. She danced back on the balls of her sneakers, rolling her shoulder to work out the hold that had wrenched it. "Seriously, who are you?"

She wasn't sure what to make of him. He was smiling at her still. She wasn't sure if she should be upset or not. She wouldn't admit it, but the sudden change in mood was actually refreshing. her brothers would often sneak up on her to initiate scuffle. In that regard this felt familiar. She couldn't help but smile back.

She looked surprised at his feat of acrobatics, mouth opening to say something but all that came out was a squeak of surprised as he rushed her again as soon as he was up. She threw out her arms to meet him, but he was already on her. She had been caught flat footed, forced to take a staggered step back to brace herself as she struggled at a sudden disadvantage. Her arms shook as she tried to push back to gain ground and level herself out with him.
