Amano shrugged, taking the money and putting it in an envelope. "It's fine, Jones-san. Amano's actually a pretty common name all on its own." She pulled out a pen, writing Skylar's name on the envelope and putting it in the register. Another sale made, she had done her duty to the family business.

"Anyway... I get the feeling a new kimono isn't the only reason you're here. What's up?"

"Well... actually it is, but since you're here, it'd be fun to chat." Skylar smiles. Reiko seemed like a fun person on the internet. The type of person Sky'd wanna get to know in real life.

"So, how've you been? That fight with Yuki looked intense." Skylar says.

Reiko made a visible flinch at the mention of the match, trying to hold back narrowing her eyes. "I'm fine." She tried to keep her tone light, but the words came out a lot more curt than she wanted. "Got my stitches out, and only really walked out that fight with a scar on my forehead." She lifted up her bang, showing a rather dark scar underneath where Yuki had elbowed her. Actually... didn't she say something about wanting to try that? "Don't wanna' try something like that again though."

Skylar nods, smiling.

Death Matches had always intrigued Skylar. Fighting another girl with your entire body on the line sounded so damn exciting! Kill or be killed! What could be more thrilling than that!?

"Where do I go to sign up for a match like that?" The brunette asks with a smile.

"... ... ..." Reiko pursed her lips, gritting her teeth underneath. Okay. So that wasn't an online thing after all. So much for that idea.

"Jones-san," She said, stepping away from the counter. "Don't take something like that lightly. That fight wasn't something I did for fun."

"I know that, but... It looked so exciting!" Skylar says, smiling at Reiko. If there was one thing the brunette was bad at, it was taking a hint.

"Definitely on my bucket list!"

"Tch," Reiko scowled, narrowing her eyes at Skylar's reaction. That hellish fight wasn't something to get giddy about. It still haunted her in her dreams and the member brought more dread than pride despite her victory. Almost everyone from friends, to family, to even bystanders had said as much. And yet... This chick is just-

"Jones-san, knock it off." She gripped the edge of the counter, trying to calm her nerves. "I dunno' what you thought that fight was, but fun..." She bit her lip. "Just... don't treat it like it was something done on a whim."

Skylar looks at Reiko, and sees that she's doing something wrong. It was clear that Reiko hated to hear that fight talked about so casually. How could Sky be so damn inconsiderate!?

The brunette bows her head in shame. "I'm sorry... Let's change the subject..."

"... ... ..." Reiko gritted her teeth, taking a short breath. As quick as Skylar was to apologize, it felt somewhat insincere. Less an actually apology and more a quick darting of subject matters. Still, Reiko was in no mood to discuss it further (at least not civilly), and she couldn't blow up in front of what was now a customer.

"Alright..." She took relaxed her expression. "Sorry for getting on your case like that... So what have you been up to lately, Jones-san?"

"Well, I've been having a lot of fun. Japanese men are pretty big!" Skylar giggles with a devious smile, happy that the mood is lightening. She saw Reiko as somewhat of a friend, and she hated pissing off her friends. And even if she didn't see Reiko that way, she knew the girl who goes by Amano in the ring was no one to piss off. "I actually got 5 in in the past 3 days!"
