Thirteen usually looked at matches with a stern look, but she smiled at Sam winking at her...though her gaze immediately shot forward at Chika, knowing that, since her client's opponent allowed herself to get distracted, there was little chance of her next attack hitting.

And indeed, Sam would go down on the mat hard from the Leg Lariat, trying to rise to her feet as Chika circled her foe like a vulture, following up her attack with a kick to her back.

Hoping it stunned the blunette for long enough, Chika would catch her from the back with a Waistlock, trying to lift her rival into the air and down onto the canvas with a German Suplex!

Sam had made the mistake of dividing her attention between her foe and her foe's manager. And as she pried herself up from the canvas, Roberts realized in the heat of the moment that she was paying for it! The cute bluenette was floored by her foe's Leg Lariat. The feeling of Chika's shadow looming over her as Igarashi circled her downed form made Samantha come to!

"Nngh..." She would groan as she turned over and quickly found her way up to one knee! And when she did, Chika would nail her between the shoulder blades with a stiff kick! Samantha would grimace with her teeth bared! She'd fight through the pain and work her way up to her feet! And when she did, her opponent secured her from behind with a Rear Waistlock and hurled her backward and overhead with a German Suplex! The crowd roared as Chika showed off some wrestling prowess and threw Samantha a fair distance! The momentum from the throw had Samantha land on her upper back before rolling a full rotation and ending up downer near the corner of the ring!

Things had taken a then for a worse for Roberts as her opponent secured some firm momentum. No doubt Thirteen at ringside would be happy with how things were playing out! Sam would need a moment to find her bearings! She'd grab hold of the bottom rope and attempt to pull herself up in her corner to face her for once more!

"Lucky...shot...."

Thirteen was at ringside, clapping for Chika as the German Suplex was executed, Sam trying to pull her up towards and up the corner...

As Samantha got herself to a seat, Chika would rush towards a corner, turning forwards towards Sam...and rushing towards the blunette, jumping in the middle of the ring, and aiming her legs at her rival's chest with a corner dropkick!

With that one opening, Samantha had inadvertently given her foe a lot to work with! She recoiled towards the corner and slowly pulled herself up! And when she did, Chika came in running! Fans gasped as Igarashi's bare feet left the canvas! When she jumped up, Sam seemed to panic!

"Hrrgh! No!!" Roberts would protest as she stood upright in the corner! When Chika jumped up, she knew she had little time to react! Thinking quickly, the girl would drop down into a seated position, allowing her opponent to hit the turnbuckles and then crash down to the canvas! If this counter worked, Sam would crawl forward and attempt to stick her head between Chika's thighs and roll her up into a Prawn Hold Pin! She'd place both hands on Igarashi's shoulders and the female official overseeing the match would drop down to count near the corner!

"ONE....!"

Mid flight, Chika noticed that her original target wasn't there, as she was left helplessly to crash land on to the ring canvas!

She groaned as her back hit the canvas, trying to get up quickly...only for her legs to be quickly seized by Sam, as she rolled her up and pressed her shoulders to the mat!

"ONE!"

"TWO!"

She gasped in terror at how fast the count was...but she was far from done in this match. Employing her upper body strength, and legs, she roughly pushed upwards, trying to shove the blunette off her and roll away to avoid a follow up pin!

In just one quick motion, Sam turned the tables and pinned her quickly! And the count came just as fast! Samantha Roberts came just one second, one count away from advancing in this tournament! She had groaned audibly when Igarashi powered her way out of the pin, but the fans cheered as Chika rolled several rotations away to regroup! But the crowd cheered this sudden shift in momentum! Samantha would stand up in the corner and nod to the fans to feed off their energy! She'd lift her hand and gesture to Chika and Thirteen at ringside with her index finger and thumb.

"This close! If I do that again, if I push just a little harder, I'll be lightweight champion!" Sam would boast as she stepped out of the corner and looked to meet China in the center of the ring to the ring with her once more!

Rolling away to the ropes, Chika kept safe as Sam taunted her, eliciting an angry growl from Chika:

"Don't get angry. Focus."

"Don't worry", she would tell her manager, standing up, and taking a deep breath in and exhaling it.

However, instead of calmly meeting the blunette in the middle of the ring, she looked to keep the fast pace of the match going. She rushed at Sam, and jumped up as she got close, looking to ram her leg into Sam's face for a Leg Lariat!

Seeing Chika rattled spurred Samantha on! Even if it was only for a second before the lady at ringside helped her calm down, Sam proved that she could gain ground in this matchup!

And as Sam relished in Chika's reaction, she'd quickly come to the abrupt realization that her celebrations would be short-lived! Chika came rushing in at the boisterous bluenette with a Leg Lariat!

"Gah!" Sam would groan as she was taken down by the sudden kick! The lightweight would roll over and look to push herself up to all fours. Sam would bide her time and wait for Chika to approach her. And when her opponent drew near, Roberts would jump off high off the mats in impressive fashion and extend her legs at the height of her jump in an attempt to fire back with a Standing Dropkick!

"Hrah!"

Chika took her rival off her feet, landing back on her own turning to face Samantha as she tried to find her way back to her feet, Chika carefully approaching her...

...before the blunette jumped back up to her, unleashing a sudden dropkick to her chest!

"AUGH!"

Chika tried not to fall, instead backing herself into the ropes, and rebounding off them, trying to ignore her aching abdomen for now, as she rushed back towards rising Samantha, trying to unleash a hard running knee strike into her abdomen!

Samantha's fighting spirit spurred her on throughout this match, compelling her to keep getting up! Her Dropkick connected, beautifully, exciting the crowd! Sam landed on her front. She quickly collected herself!

"I gotta pour it on!" Roberts said to herself as she shook off the cobwebs and rushed to her feet! And when she did, she stood up just in time to catch a wicked knee to the abdomen from a running Igarashi!

PLAP!

The sound of Chika's shin guard meeting Sam's compact abdomen zipped through the arena! A breathless, loud exhale escaped Robert's lips as she doubled over! The force of Chika running into her full-tilt carried her over the lightweight's leg, forcing Sam to flip over and fall onto her back! Chika's running knee had enough force behind it to transition into a Kitchen Sink!

The excitement in the arena mounted as the back and forth exchange ensued in a lead for Chika! Sam would fall onto her back and clutch her abdomen with one hand! She'd inhale deeply as she tried to get some of the wind back into her that Chika just knocked away!
