He can tell she's upset and left defensive. He doesn't enjoy raining on people's sunny dispositions. He hates that, in fact. But being a good guy sometimes means saying things people don't want to hear.

However, she reaffirms that she doesn't care about the handicap and it's just what she wants to do. So Blaise's arms raise to either side in a broad, hapless shrug. "Okay! If it's what you wanna do, and how you wanna do it! I don't think it's against any rules or anything, so if you're cool with it, that's what matters."

Mika heard him backing off from the topic, but he had already hit that button. And the tone in his voice... like he was talking to an idiot. She wanted to prove him wrong. To show she could make this work, even if he didn't think so.

She starts to climb up the ropes, and steps into the ring. "I didn't want to do this. I thought you were kinda cute. But now you crossed a line. I'll show you just how good I can be with these things!" She snaps at him.

Blaise is frowning openly now, and shaking his head. "No. Stop. Wait," he protests, hands waving before himself. "I'm not doing this. There's nothing to be gained from it, and it's just... all wrong." If she persists on climbing into the ring, Blaise will instead divert to slip outside of the ropes to the side to drop back down to the floor. He's pretty adamant about not doing this.

Wrestling is supposed to be either a job or fun. This situation, as it's developing, is neither of those things. That's not even counting the boxing gloves situation. Everything just feels so negative about it, and he sticks pretty firmly to the opposite.

"You wanna show me what you can do with it? Have a match with someone on a show. I'll see it and see, okay? But this ain't happenin'."

Mika frowns at him when he starts to protest her joining the ring with him. "So first you wanna tear me down and call my fighting style idiotic, but you don't wanna back up your words??" She said, planting her gloves on her hips, not looking very happy.

"So what, are you one of those types that "Can't hit a girl?" C'mon, it's 2019. If I'm entering the ring with you, I'm expecting to hurt and get hurt. Man up!" She snaps at him, then blinks at what she just said. "Er.. sorry... a little carried away. But c'mon. I'm not gonna let you say that stuff about me and then let you slip your way out. It's about honor now. So get in the ring with me and lets do this!" She snapped.

"Nope," Blaise says as he continues to move back from her. "It ain't happening. I already apologized for upsetting ya, I'm not gonna compound this by making everyone miserable. Clean break." His hands swish in a lateral swoopy motion. "I've done mixed matches. It's not a machismo thing. So yeah. Attack me if you're gonna, but it'll be while my back's turned, and just.. wrong." With that, he turns around from her to face the door, per his description. And he intends to make his way out and put this bizarre, unpleasant encounter out of his mind.

How this wound up, he's not sure. He thought he was helping someone. Apparently experience would be the better teacher. But that experience won't be coming from him; not when he has zero to benefit from any of it, and the whole thing just turns his insides.

The nerve of this guy! Dashing her hopes and dreams in an instant, crushing her on the inside with his words, then won't even let her prove he's wrong?? She felt a fire in her belly. Complete and utter dislike for this guy. She takes off one glove as he's walking away, and throws it at the back of his head!

"Coward!!" She shouts. Now she was angry. "You spineless coward!" She yells, red in the face. "Telling me my dream is stupid, then you're not going to even let me try to show you because it won't sit right with you? Tough! You made this bed, now have the... the... the BALLS to lay in it!" She snaps.

Arms raise to either side as he walks, "I didn't say your dream is stupid!" Pamf. A glove hits the back of his head. Blaise's expression flattens, but he persistently continues forward. He could easily figure what that object was that had been thrown at him. "Told you what to do to prove me wrong! But I'm not fighting you! S'done! Over with!"

He gets to the exit and pauses to look back at her with a frown.

"Sorry to get you all upset. Really. Wasn't the goal." He knows that won't be sufficient, but it's all she's getting from him. So with that, he turns to vanish and leave her there.

Mika huffs, and turns her back to him, crossing her arms under her chest as he vanishes.

"What a jerk." She mutters under her breath as he was gone. She then turns and climbs out of the ring to collect her glove. "Really didn't imagine it would go like that. " She muttered again before using her teeth and her arm to get her glove back on her hand.
