Darina was behind the eight ball, thanks to Louise's cowardice. The Daybreaker's usual arsenal relied on bullet-tipped precision. The hardest hits she's got, delivered at supersonic speeds right where she knew they hurt the most. Right now, though, she could barely see straight, much less fire off a banger into Louise's dome. But their match was in full swing now; there was no escape. If she had to win this part of the fight by running around like her hair was on fire, so be it! She still had her speed, and she still had her strength. That had to be enough to at least make it past this stupid fog in her brain.
Her lariat collided with Louise, staggering the girl a bit. A chest shot was a solid blow, but with someone as sturdy as Louise, there was no shot Darina'd knock her down. All she could do was cause some pain. But all that was gonna swing right back at her, as the Wildcat swung out with a forearm smash!
"GAH!" Sweat and spittle flew as her jaw was cracked to its furthest end. Darina pivoted on one foot as if about to fall over, but then caught herself. Still, she crumpled to one knee. Her hands flew up on instinct to shield the back of her now-bowed head. High-pitched rings echoed in her still-shaking skull. This was a rare feeling for her, being rocked. Not many of her opponents had gotten that out of her. At least Louise had that.
The question was: What else would Louise get? Darina Daybreak was down on one knee, and though she was covering up, Dare was no doubt helpless as Louise bore down on her!
