"Hey, there's no need to apologize for it...Honestly, technology can be a handful, and sometimes...it can be more problematic than useful." She said, trying to keep her cheered up. "You aren't 'primitive' Kimiko...you're just different. And that's okay. The first order of business is to get to the Young Lioness dorms and get you moved in. I assume you have a few carry bags, and the rest of your stuff should have been shipped over. I'll help you move in, and we can explore the dorms together. The administration gave me a nice map of the building, which you can keep, of course." She said. "Aside from that, we just need to make it through the crowd, get outside, and hail a cab...which I can show you how to do! We can learn as we go, yeah?" She said, trying to make the most out of a hectic, confusing scenario.

Kimiko remained pretty unbothered by Akari's words, Kimiko was new to technology, yet to really be able to form an honest opinion on it outside of it being new and semi confusing with Kimiko being thrusted into alien environment with so many new things. Kimiko did crack a small smile as Akari called her different, it was certainly hard to argue with that statement with how accurate it was. Kimiko already had her one carry on bag with her in hand, she didn't exactly have much in terms of stuff probably only having a singular box that her family had shipped to the dorm. "So we are heading to the dorms? Lead the way.... uh just make sure I don't get lost again" Kimiko said half joking but still letting out a small giggle.

"Yeah, just follow me!" Akari said, guiding Kimiko at a standard pace. However, as the two walked further and further through the station, it became evident that a gap was slightly forming between them as it got louder and louder. Akari glanced back to make sure she wasn't TOO far away from Kimiko, but this midday rush caused the subway to fill with another sea of people. Before she knew it, Akari lost sight of the younger woman, desperately looking around to try and find her. Things became so loud, and it all started to devolve into a hasty, bustling blur of people moving all around. It was quite a dizzying sight, but after Akari found Kimiko again, she ran over and checked on her. She wanted to make sure she wasn't feeling anxious or overwhelmed or anything.

"Okay...rough start. Hehe-...I'm sorry, I didn't mean to lose you, I-...let's try that again, shall we? This time..." She paused, holding out her hand to hold with Kimiko's, wanting to walk side-by-side so they wouldn't get separated again. "Together, yeah? Don't worry. I've got you. I promise." She said...This woman was doing so much for Kimiko, looking out for her with an attitude akin to an older sibling. But why? They just met. Kimiko should be fine looking after herself. True, Akari was sent in lieu of a welcoming committee to help with Kimiko's arrival and assistance, but-...She was so kind, so warm and friendly...and for what? She wasn't just doing her job. She was trying to reach out and support Kimiko, guide her through this strange new world that the black-haired Young Lioness had now found herself in.

Kimiko adjusted her beg on her shoulder as she followed as closely as possible behind though as the crowd thickened Kimiko was having a hard time keeping up with Akari until they became so far apart that she couldn't even see her, the noise becoming too disorienting for Kimiko. The Japanese woman felt feel overwhelmed feeling like she was about to have a nervous breakdown in the sea of noise and people until Akari found her again. Kimiko's expression clearly telling how overwhelmed she was as if her heavy breathing didn't give it away already.

"Yeah... rough start" Kimiko parroted breathlessly before looking down and seeing Akari holding out her hand, Kimiko paused for a second but accepted Akari's hand nodding and acknowledging Akari's promise. Funnily enough Akari was starting to seem like a sister to Kimiko despite just meeting. If it wasn't for Akari Kimiko likely would never have even made it out of the station, ending up stranded, confused, overwhelmed. and clueless what to do. Eventually the two managed to get out of the building and onto the street, Kimiko breathed a sigh of relief. "I really hope I never have to go back in there" Kimiko said before looking around at the bustling city streets. "Well... at least it isn't as crowded" Kimiko joked, turning and smiling at Akari.

"Hopefully not, but don't worry, I'll make sure the rest of the day is as stress-free as possible." Akari said, trying to promise something that seemed a little...out of her control...but she was nonetheless determined to ensure Kimiko didn't have a nervous breakdown. She wanted Kimiko's first time away from home to be an exciting memory, not a nightmare turned reality. Akari hailed a cab, spotting the nicest-looking taxi car service. She paid the driver, and they were whisked away to the location of the Young Lioness dorms...or at least, ONE of the dorm facilities. It was likely that there wasn't one sole building. All the document stated was that Kimiko's dorm was located at this address. Getting a look from the outside, it wasn't too shabby. Quaint, average, not too busy, and in a relatively quiet neighborhood...thankfully. The area seemed peaceful. An array of clouds was blocking the sky, leaving the day a little gray, but it wasn't too bad. The silver lining was that it wasn't too hot or too cold! Akari was looking for as many positive takeaways as possible, trying to keep things upbeat. "Well, here we are...Home sweet home." She said jokingly. "Do you have a key to your room already? What's the number on it?" She asked after getting out of the car.

"Thanks Akari" Kimiko said glad she had this woman to show her around and try to make sure things were not stressful. Kimiko then watched as Akari hailed them a cab quickly sitting next to her and looking out the window at the city as the cab drove them to the dorm facility Kimiko would be staying at. Kimiko stepped out of the cab while Akari paid the drive. "Looks nice" Kimiko said giving Akari a smile as she joined her on the sidewalk and asked her about the key. "Oh right" Kimiko said digging into her pocket and pulling out her dorm key and looked at the tag connected to it "Uhhhh room 2 B" Kimiko said glancing at Akari. Kimiko would then start walking towards the entrance eager to see the inside.

Once they got inside, the interior was barren as it could possibly be, but it made sense. The bed frame, desk, and wardrobe closet were all here and accounted for. There was a chair to go with the desk but not much else in terms of furnishings. Oh well, it'd simply be a pet project for Kimiko to dress up and customize to her liking. With some help and a bit of passion, this could easily be her home away from home, right? "Not...terrible...but hey, once we have all your stuff unpacked and settled it'll be a place of comfort. It may not be 'home' but it can still be welcoming." Akari, trying to remain upbeat and positive as the two got to unpacking and prepping Kimiko's room. Sweeping, dusting, checking out the attached bathroom, putting up all of Kimiko's belongings...or what little she brought along in the one or two boxes she packed. It fortunately didn't take long. The main thing was setting up her bed and just tidying up, along with moving the furniture around to whatever layout Kimiko wanted. Perhaps she wanted the desk by the window or her bed by the window to get some natural light in. Maybe move the wardrobe over to try and conserve space, and so on and so forth-...

Once it was all said and done, the pair would take a step back and look at the room. It wasn't decorated or anything still but-...it was a start. Akari turned to Kimiko with a bit of a hopeful look, hoping that all of this wasn't too demoralizing or upsetting. "So...how's it feel?" She asked.

The interior of the dorm was pretty simple, almost barren, Kimiko's room back home wasn't the most decorated either so it didn't bother her much, a couple of plants could easily liven up the room. Hearing Akari's words Kimiko gave her a small cheerful smile. 'It's bigger than my room back home though" Kimiko said looking on the bright side. The two then began setting up shop, Kimiko dusting off the desk and checked out the small attached bathroom. The only things Kimiko moved was the bed closer to the window so she could look outside at night and the desk next to the bed to use it as a nightstand of sorts. Kimiko then opened the box she had packed taking out a picture of her and her family and set it on the desk before taking out a few books and setting them on the desk as well. She then took out what few clothes she had and stuffed them in the wardrobe. Once it was all done Kimiko turned her attention to Akari hearing her question. "Its fine, I'll probably go for a few walks so it isn't like I'll have to be stuck here all day" Kimiko said taking a seat on the bed, it felt different then a cot but still comfortable.

"Well, if you're looking for something to do-...why don't we go out and grab a bite to eat? I can show you a few sights, we can have some great food. It'll be my treat-...and uh-...a little gift to make up for the mishap earlier." Akari said, that last part being delivered a tad nervously and in an apologetic manner. Akari would let out a brief sigh, clearly worried that today could've gone better. "I just wanna make sure that you're okay, and as your sponsor, I feel like I haven't done the best job that I possibly can...but maybe over lunch or dinner, we could get to know each other better and iron out the kinks on what our 'relationship' will be going forward, y'know? I want this to be more than just 'I train you, you do what I say'...I want this mentorship to be an experience for you. Something you'll want to remember, not just a few months you spent before you start on the main roster."

Laying back on the bed for a few moments to relax Kimiko then sat back up hearing Akari speak about food, Kimiko had been so busy moving here it had been a day since she had eaten and even the sound or mention of food made her stomach growl loudly. "Food sounds good" Kimiko replied before picking up on Akari's sigh before she continued speaking. Getting up off the bed while Akari continued to speak Kimiko felt bad about her mentor beating herself up over her getting lost in a crowd. "It isn't your fault I got lost, I should have did better to keep up kind of like how I shouldn't have wandered in the woods growing up" Kimiko said trying to make Akari feel better offering her hand out in order for Akari to hold it and lead the way forward. "Cant lose me if you don't let go though" Kimiko joked trying to cheer her mentor up again.
