"Hmm..." She pursed her lips and hummed -- or, at least, as well as she was able to while jogging along. Why wrestling, indeed? The commas in her bank account gave a pretty good answer, but there were lots of ways to make money. Just ask dear old Mom and Dad. There were about fifty bazillion reasons to do this instead of that, but where to start?
"Well, I did martial arts waaaay before I picked up a camera. Nothing big at first. Self-defense type stuff at best, full on McDojo-y crap at worst. But I shopped around until I found a place that taught me the real deal. I still remember my first spar..." A dull ache began to haunt her jaw like an old ghost. Julie stretched it out as recompense. "God, I swear my eyes bugged out of my head when I saw the views on my first tutorial. You're never gonna believe this, but I didn't know how many people wanted to watch a hottie in a sports bra set up rear mount in slow-mo."
They passed the marker for the first lap. A quarter-mile down. "You get the picture from there," Julie waved. "I get it, though. I was born to be in front of the camera," she said, taking on a playful imitation of a haughty film starlet. "One thing led to another, though. Julie did the sport way before JDL did."
Julie giggled to cut the seriousness right down. "Besides, it's a rule of showbiz. Nothing's more impressive to John Q. Public than going off script. Improv. Ad-libbing." She tapped Alizeh's taut butt as they rounded a corner. "Unscripted sexfighting. I could do customs, or focus on my clipstore, but there's something about LAW. You get it."
