Melody exhaled in relief, finally getting her rival to agree to her demands. Though her reasoning got her to think about the situation.
Despite what Kat was saying...Melody wouldn't target Kat's tag partners, as she barely knew them. Though her relationship with Clara wasn't what it once was, she still wouldn't drive her to this...knowing the difficulties Clara herself faced currently. And Alaina? She respected her too much to do this to her. At worst, Melody might've gone after her partners during matches, trying to get them to lose to her, crowd's disappointment in her be damned...but she needed this. She needed one last shot to prove herself to the company.
So despite it being a lie, she nodded to Kat's allegation of what she would've done if told: "No". If Kat wanted to make her the villain in this, she was fine with it. And as she got right into Melody's face, the greenette wouldn't move an inch.
Listening to Kat's final words, Melody stood in the ring with a mic, contemplating the decision she has just signed herself up for. There was no way back now. She has signed herself up for what was potentially her final match...
