Ride the Lightening: Aphrodite Vs. Allen Riley (Apex Qualifier)

Aphrodite was locked into the grapple and before she could even protest physically about it, was sent up into the air into a sort of suplex before smashing backdown into the mat, bouncing slightly even with Riley still holding on to her even then after the landing, "Ow..." she'd mumble out as she tried to wiggle out, but that wouldn't be enough as Riley solidified her advantage here and held her down in the grapple after the landing for a pin attempt. The blonde couldn't let this happen, especially this soon, as soon as the count hit 1, Aphrodite bucked up, popping her shoulders off the mat before the two counts could even be attempted by the quick thinking and fast referee. There was no way that she was going to suffer such humiliation, and so soon as well into their match to boot.

Going for a bridging pin after bringing Aphrodite down with the fisherman's suplex, Allen got herself on her tiptoes for the pin. Still, Aphrodite managed to kick out after one, and the match would still continue. Releasing Aphrodite's body, Allen would sit up and grunt, rolling her shoulder a little before she picked herself up, planning to continue with her onslaught. Reaching out to Aphrodite's head, Allen would get herself up, pulling the other woman with her, forcing her to get herself back up to her feet.

Once they were on their feet, Allen would rear her right arm back before she attempted to hit her with a mighty chop right across her chest. Then, she would follow it up with another chop before capping it off with a kick right into her belly.

Aphrodite grit her teeth as she was pulled up from her kneeling position by Allen and right on to her feet. It wasn't like the blonde had been struck too severely even after taking the throw, but it was just enough to distract pain wise for her opponent to get away a chop, smacking across her chest to applause from the crowd, followed by another in fairly quick succession. It seemed as always Aphrodite's foes loved to target such a spot, not that the crowd didn't mind as the cheered on each of the slaps after they hit in traditional fashion. The end to that would be a kick straight to her stomach, doubling her over once more again as she held now to Allen, knocking the air out of her as nearly went back down to a knee to keep herself standing back up. In fact, this was starting to feel familiar as well as she was once more stooped low.

Of course, being unwilling to just let herself be dominated in such a fashion wasn't going to let such standing as she balled her hands into a fist and then the other. With grunt, Aphrodite would attempt a doublehanded strike back right into Allen's stomach, hoping to knock her away.

The kick to the stomach had brought Aphrodite down on her knees. Allen was prepared to deliver her next attack when Aphrodite suddenly struck her right in her stomach with both her fists, causing her to gasp out in pain, staggering back.

"UGHH!!"

Thankfully, Allen managed to retain her footing. Unfortunately, her momentum had been broken, and now she was unable to continue with her attacks due to her having put some distance between herself and her opponent. She needed to get close to Aphrodite again in order to attack, and she was sure that her opponent might be able to mount up a defense by the time she got closer enough.
