Akari tried to hold herself down and resist the maneuver but the pain in her stomach was too much to juggle on top of fighting back. She was lifted up into the air and soon dropped down head first onto the canvas after the Brainbuster, quite the classic from the fighters' mutual home country and now Akari had just gotten a firsthand experience on the receiving end of a near perfectly executed move. Akari hits the canvas and lets out a pained grunt, but she grits her teeth and quickly rolls away, trying to move and get up to her feet.

Akari was definitely hurting, but still aware of her positioning, as she tried to roll towards the ropes to try and get a break from Chika’s attacks.

The Raven Knight was not going to give her opponent a break, as she tried to rush for the ropes, jumping over the rolling turtle, and onto the ropes to try and springboard right on top of her rival’s body for a Springboard Moonsault!

Akari spots Chika's move, noticing her shadow passing over her and the ropes closest to her bending and stretching from the Raven Knight's weight. She was in danger if she didn't move out of the way, no matter what Chika was trying to pull off, it wouldn't be good for the Turtle to just lay there and take it. In a moment of quick deliberation, she thought about rolling to the outside of the ring but the edge was too far away...running out of options, Akari took her gamble and raised her knees up, trying to counter Chika's splash by causing her to crash onto her knees, stomach-first.

Chika had no way to manuever herself as she saw what was coming below her - Akari’s knees pointed straight for her stomach as she fell down through the air!

”AUUUUG!!!”

Chika rolled off to the side of her rival, cradling her hurting belly!

Akari let out a brief pant, cooling herself off and getting her head back in the game as her plan worked out. She stopped the veteran in her track and now, she had an opportunity to build some momentum and start kicking some ass again. She got to her feet and quickly snatched Chika by one of her wrists, trying to pull her up and hit her with an Irish Whip in order to send her hurling into the nearest ropes.

Akari quickly overtook control of the match, grabbing Chika by her arm, and forcing her onto her feet, and onto a run towards the ropes for an Irish Whip! Hitting the ropes, she rebounded towards her rival, trying to jump at her and nail her leg at her face for a Leg Lariat to take control of the match back...but with how suddenly she lost momentum, her getting to the attack was slow. Akari would likely see it coming, and more than likely had an idea for an offence in mind already...

Indeed she DID, Akari Ito was already prepped and ready to react and counteract Chika's move. She met her in the center of the ring, quickly stopping her momentum in its tracks as she gripped onto the woman's legs and began to lift her up into the air, almost as if she was assisting her. However, this would be FAR from the case as Akari tensed her body and tightened her core, lifting Chika up as high as she could in the shortest amount of time possible while she steadily held the woman in place above her head. She flashed a cheeky smile at Chika and quickly dropped her down onto her backside for a counter Powerbomb, having shown off her adaptive capabilities as well as her superb level of fitness and strength that she had been working on.

Chika leapt up, aiming her thigh and knee to slam it into Akari to take her down…only to result in her practically leaping onto Akari’s shoulders, sitting on the standing up Middleweight as she flashed a quick grin at her…

…before slamming her down on the floor with authority for a Powerbomb!

”AAAAAAAAAAAH!!!”

Chika’s spine exploded in pain, and, at least for the moment, she was left splayed out on the canvas, with Akari free to do as she wanted with the lightweight veteran…

Akari Ito quickly went for a pin attempt after the Powerbomb, folding over her veteran opponent as she tried to pin her shoulders to the mat and get the count started. If she could beat an opponent of Chika's skill level in such a short amount of time, it would DEFINITELY show the LAW crowd what she was made of. Of course, she likely knew it wouldn't be that easy, but doubts couldn't be thought upon at the moment, otherwise, she would lose focus. She tightened the pin as much as she could, forcing Chika to bend over, legs dangling above her head.

"1...!!!"

"2...!!!"

Being caught in a pin first definitely didn’t appeal to Chika, but she couldn’t deny that Akari had skill for doing so. With the Joshi folded down, the count proceeded, as Chika summoned her strength…

”TWO—NO!”

She forcibly shoved her rival off her with her legs, trying to roll back up to her feet!
