L.A.W. - League of Anime Wrestling

Sophie was about to administer the claw when her arm was grabbed, and she found herself being twisted around in a weird version of the armbar. Sophie had to admit, she was rather impressed with her opponent's quick thinking, but, even she had to know that it was WAY too early to submit. So, almost on instinct began crawling to the ropes in order to break the hold...

Sophie managed to get to the ropes, and Akari obliged and broke the hold . Sophie White, still brimming full of fight and pride, got up rather quickly, and was soon met with Akari's charge. Sophie braced herself, and attempted to catch her opponent in a bearhug, in order to wear down her opponent, and slow the match down a bit, plus, for some reason, Sophie liked putting the squeeze on cute opponents like Akari...

Akari was nearly scooped up into Sophie's loving arms, nearly avoiding being squeezed as she reached her own arms out and gripped Sophie by the wrists, locking her arms up and trying to keep her steady. She would let go of one arm and go for an Arm Wrench, twisting Sophie's arm around and trying to get her in the right position. If things went well for Akari, she would hit the Canadian with one of her signature moves, an 'Eat Defeat', lifting her leg up high and resting her bare sole against Sophie's chin, winking at her and blowing her a kiss before falling backward and having her chin SLAM against her foot.

It seemed Akari wasn't the hugging type, as her bearhug attempt was blocked, and soon Akari grabbed her wrists and placed her boot on her face! At first, Sophie thought this was some sort of taunt, like "kiss my foot" or something, which would've made her mad, but, she would have understood, as this was just a rookie, however, Akari would fall backwards in a strange varient of the backstabber. It was enough to send Sophie backwards and onto the canvas. Sophie sat up after a few seconds and looked over at Akari and nodded, as if to say "I'm impressed!"

The Sea Turtle grinned, performing a kip-up to get back onto her feet quickly as she smiled down on Sophie, giving her a wink. "Thanks, you're not too shabby yourself." She said, giving Sophie a moment to recover and reset. Once she did, Akari would offer up another lock-up, offering to go head-to-head again in a collar-and-elbow grapple contest. If things went well for her, she would try to transition into a headlock and proceed to drag Sophie into a corner. If Sophie managed to get the better of her, Akari could be put into a dangerous spot.

Sophie was glad that at the very least this girl knew sportsmanship, as she got up, and it appeared that Akari wanted another lockup, which was strange to Sophie, as it appeared that their strength was just about equal before, still, she oblidged, and was in another tie up, this time, she didn't try to jockey for position, instead she tied up just long enough for a distraction, before shoving her arms to the side and locking the Sea Turtle in her tight embrace, hoping to wear down the rookie sensation...

Akari was gripped tight, letting out a small wince and a groan but slowly breaking the hold, showing off her resilience and strength as she pushed her arms out to separate Sophie's hold on her, flashing a smile as she did so. Once she broke out, she would quickly thrust a kick into Sophie's gut in hopes of stunning her opponent for a moment so she could set up a move.

Sophie held on as long as she could, but, the Sea Turtle was a resilient little sea critter, as she soon began to slowly force her arms apart. Sure enough, Akari broke the hold and soon kneed Sophie in the gut, Sophie, while bent over, never seen a wrestler with quite so much spunk and moxy as the Sea Turtle did, and, if she was being honest, was quite impressed. Not impressed enough to just lie down and let her opponent win though, as she countered with a kick to Akari's side. This was slowly turning into a stalemate...

Akari grunts, letting out a brief sound of pain before she would try to slug it out with Sophie, rushing her with a flurry of punches as she would try to pummel the Canadian cutie. She was up close and personal with her, why not use her prior boxing and MMA experience? She balled and tightened her fists, bulldozing Sophie and trying to strike her all over, battering her with punches toward wherever she could land.
