L.A.W. - League of Anime Wrestling

A lot of bored looks to the camera and eye rolling ensued as Barbara began to explain herself from Casey Kiernan. Then, she started to notice the threatening aura that the former idol was giving off, leaning back in her chair and giving her a weary look. Was she really that peeved at her? She was just asking questions. Surely she just didn't want to do this interview as much as Casey did--that's the only explanation that made sense to her. Then, her guest laughed and said that she was joking, and Kiernan let out a deep sigh, laughing a bit as well.

"Okay, first of all, I need you to know right now, that I proudly did not watch your livestream, nor do I watch any LAW programming at all," stated Casey bluntly, holding her arms up. "More power to anyone who does, honestly. And... I by no means want to see you do anything, or... meeting you in a ring. In fact, I'm thrilled if this is the last time we even talk! Because then my job is over and I can do my best to escape from it until I get roped back in." Kiernan was being extremely honest, partially because of the intimidation factor of Barbara.

"And as far as--" Casey paused, putting a hand to her ear piece, making a face. "One second, they're saying words. I usually ignore them but..." Kiernan nodded, her mouth twisting a bit. "...Uh huh." Casey rolled her eyes up in thought. "Okay..." Then, Casey deflated visibly, slumping in her seat. "...Yup. That's... well. ...Nnnnnn..."

Taking a huge, deep breath of air, Casey Kiernan rested her cheek on palm and then looks over at Barbara and said, "...So. I have been instructed to announce that... I will be professional wrestling you, Sizzling Idol Barb, later... tonight." Kiernan then pouted, letting out a small whine. "I was ready to leeeeeave after this segmeeeeeent..." She then slowly slid down her chair, looking like she was practically melting into it.

"If you don't want to see me then why are you here?" Barbara thought, wondering how Casey even got this job as an interviewer when she so obviously did not want to do it, and was so utterly abrasive about it. The idol had never felt so attacked and humiliated. She tried to fight back as best as she could, answering the questions with perhaps more honesty than she should have, and issuing a thinly veiled threat. But Casey didn't seem to get the message. Or perhaps she got it, but didn't want to admit that what she was doing was humiliating the idol in front of her fans.

All that changed when Casey suddenly got a message over her earpiece that completely deflated her. As Casey slumped back in her chair, Barbara lit up. "Oho, so that's how it's going to be!" Barbara said, not needing to fake her delight this time, "Oh my Casey, it seems you and I are going to have a match after all!"

She leaned a bit closer to her blonde interviewer, the smile on her face turning into a malicious grin. "Like I said before, since you're so interested in how the 'disgracing' happened, I will show you," she said softly, "I'll show you whether you want to or not!"

Getting up off her chair, Barbara spun around and began to leave. "See you in the ring tonight!" the idol said brightly, waving at Casey as she left, feeling very enthusiastic about the match that was coming up.

Casey continued to pool into her chair, pouting more and more as Barbara spoke. It wasn't the menace that hurt her, or the threat, or anything else. It was entirely the reminder that she had to wrestle a match that was such an assault on Kiernan's psyche that was hitting her hard. She let out a whine, sparing the Idol a final miserable look before sighing loudly.

Hanging her head, she spoke in something barely more coherent than a mumble. "Thanks everyone for watching. Stay tuned for me wrestling a match. This is Casey Kiernan signing out... for now. And..." Unleashing her most labored sigh yet, she said, "That's what's happenin'..."

Then, the interviewer slid down the rest of her chair to a kneeling position on the ground as cheerful pop music played loudly and she stood up, head hung, as she walked to the back looking utterly devastated by having to perform tonight. But it was a part of the job, as terrible as that might be.
