The Young Lioness Cup, Opening Round: Reny Selene vs. Rem Mathers

Reny would have keep punching the side of rem as even though that the move doesn't have much power in them due to their lack of mometum from her current position, reny would have thought that if she is persistent enough then maybe her opponent will let her go

And that she did however, her opponent leave her a parting gift of a kick straight toward her stomach as she would have let out a grunt of pain from the impact of kick as this would have prevent her from getting up immediately

After her opponent back off, reny would have finally stand up as she would have hold on to her stomach "okay it doesn't hurt as much as i first imagine it" reny would have let out a mumble "also can you not shove your stupid big bagooga at my face? You making my cardboard chest even smaller" she would have playfully compain toward her opponent like they are not in the middle of a important match

When Rem got off of Reny, the smaller girl tried to no sell the kick she had taken with her words. But her stance and the way she held her stomach told a different story. The brunette said something else, but it was too mumbled for Rem to understand. Not something that she would have expected from a girl like Reny. But it wasn't as if whatever she said was going to be important.

Rem had been planning to counterstrike at Reny, but the sniper didn't do anything. She simply stayed in the corner, leaving it to Rem to continue attacking herself. Reny had nowhere to escape to since she was in the corner, so Rem's main concern here was making sure that she didn't give her opponent a way out while she tried to close in for her next attack.

Rem would take a lunging step forward and leap shoulder first at Reny's stomach for a spear attack. If successful, Rem would pull back, twist her body, and smash into Reny's stomach a second time with a hip attack. And if that worked, Rem would let Reny drop to a seated position and then stick her butt in the brunette's face for a stinkface smother.

Reny would have let out a small sigh as it seem that both of them not going to do anything for awhile '...i hate this...why i must be force to use this...oh well' she thought to herself as she would have suddenly put her right hand to guard her face while her left hand would have lay low near her waist

When rem would have charge forward shoulder first toward reny, reny would have flick her left suddenly toward the direction of rem face fast for a jab that if rem didn't see coming then reacting to it would be really difficult even more since rem is charging toward her. If the first hit of the jab succeful, then reny would have immediately followed up in the same motion as her first jab to flick a downward hook to try to send rem to her knee

As Rem went in for a spear, Reny went for a stance change. The bluenette had no time to react between seeing her opponent's left and it hitting her in the face. But it wasn't enough to stop Rem completely. The hit was quick, without much power behind it, and Rem pretty much rammed straight through it into Reny's stomach, completing her spear.

But that didn't mean Rem was unscathed. Weak though it may have been, she still charged into a punch at her face. The rest of her planned combo, the hip attack and stinkface, had been denied. Furthermore, Reny also threw punch into Rem's back as she was hit by the spear, knocking the bluenette down onto her stomach. Now it was a race, could Rem get up or get away before Reny recovered from the spear?

When Reny send her flicker straight toward rem face, she thought that it should be enough to prevent her from charging at her even if she haven't properly step in to increase the power of her punch, she thought that it should be enough

But that didn't even enough to stop her opponent charging at her to spear her at her stomach, this would have cause reny to let out a groan of pain as she would have quickly flick her arm downward to send her opponent down to prevent her from further attacking

Reny would have groan as she would have slide down the corner slightly but before she could fall, she would have jump backward toward the rope to bounce herself toward the center of the ring avoiding her opponent entirely since she get the feeling if she tried attacking her while she is down then the one that will be in danger is her

While Rem had thought that she only had two options: get up fast or get punished by Reny. But her opponent had found and taken the third option: to retreat herself. The sniper had chosen to not take any risks and simply resetting the fight by getting herself out of the corner and back to the middle of the ring. Rem had managed to get up in good time, so it was unclear what would have happened had Reny tried to strike.

"I admit that I had been hoping for easy fight," said Rem as she stepped out of the corner, giving herself more space to work with if Reny attacked. "Just take care of business in a smooth, clean debut, and worry about the real fights once I was a bit more settled in." The bluenette's face grew a noticeable touch of anger. "But life usually doesn't like being that nice, now does it?"

Rem would then charge, reeling back her fist for a big overhead punch that she would bring down onto Reny's head if the brunette didn't do something about it. If it landed cleanly, then Rem would get right up in Reny's face and wrap her arms around her opponent for a mighty bearhug. If Rem couldn't smother a defeat out of Reny, maybe she could squeeze one out.

Reny would have take another deep breath when she saw her opponent getting back up again, well it is a good thing she decided to not proceed then or she will be in a big trouble. Oh well it seem that she can't beat rem outright, there nothing she could do about that...it seem she need to start chipping away then

Reny would have raise an eyebrow at rem word, she thought that fighting her will be easy? I mean it does make sense why she think that way since she only primary only take note in training...tho if she highly doubt that rem will have it easy either way even if her opponent is not her...i mean her bestie nico is pretty strong so that mean the other are strong too so that mean rem basically hoping for the impossible

"Well you know what they say, 'life is always a bitch'" she said with a smile on her face as she would have raise her hand up for a guard in a orthodox position as she would have waited patiently as she saw Rem charging at her attempting to land a big overhead strike to her head. Reny would have make sure to step in properly this time as she would have tilted head to barely dodge the overhead striker as Reny would have counter by twisting her arm like a pistol rotation to increase the force of her punch, as she would have aim it straight at Rem face aiming to use her momentum to increase the force even more

"That's the truth!" Rem said in response to Reny's claim as she charged forward with her attack. The bluenette came in hot, but her opponent was able to slip the punch and step in for a counter of her own. With her attack unsuccessful, Rem would now have to try to defend herself. She kept her balance after whiffing her strike and had her other hand ready to guard herself with.

Reny had a lot of options for Rem to defend against, and Rem didn't have enough time to consider all of them, so the bluenette pretty much had to guess. She thought Reny would try to wrap up her midsection and take her down, so Rem kept her arm in front of her body to push the brunette away. But Rem had guessed wrong, and took cross straight to her chin. Rem staggered back a few steps, and tried to prepare to defend herself from the follow up attack that was likely coming for her next.

Reny counter would have work this time and now her opponent is the one in the backfoot and she is the one in the offence, this is now or never she will push her advantage as hard as she can

Reny would have step in toward Rem as she would have send two light left jab toward her face to direct her attention and possibly her guard up high then she would have soon followed it up with low right hook toward Rem hopefully open stomach as Reny plan to try to make her guard go down to protect her own stomach from further damage if the first one hit. If this is successful then Reny would have tried to followed it up with a downward left haymaker toward Rem face to finish her combo off

As Rem stumbled backwards, Reny pushed forwards. The brunette advanced with two high jabs. Rem dodged the first one and blocked the second one. She expected Reny to shift down low, which the gun girl did, but once more Rem expected a grappling maneuver and once more she received a blow as punishment for guessing wrong. This time a belly punch.

To finish her combo, Reny would try to go back high on Rem with her punches. The bluenette got her arm up to block the blow, but she got there late. Thus Rem was unable to guard herself completely, and once again she had been staggered by Reny. Rem continued to be forced to play defense on the backfoot, while Reny was free to keep trying to break through for the big hit that she wanted.
