Yuki Kazikura [D] vs. Maria di Valentina

So far, so good. Yuki had managed to get in a couple of well-placed blows on Maria, sending her staggering ever further back. She narrowed her eyes in concentration, but confidence was with her, and Yuki was sure that luck would be as well. Having attained such an advantage thus far, she went to charge in towards Maria, sure that her clothesline would land true!

The only problem was that...well, it didn't. At the last moment, Maria dropped to the ground, proving she had some fight in her still! Yuki's eyes widened in surprise as Maria dropped out of her field of vision before she caught out to grab her by the ankle. With a gasp, Yuki was swept off her feet by the cunning counter, going crashing down into the mat with a thud!

The thud that Yuki made crashing into the canvas was music to Maria's ears. The di Valentina gave an evil smirk as she picked herself up. Though it was a bit painful to her pride (and body) that this Yuki girl managed to draw first blood, Maria was going to make sure that "Hmph! You got lucky... but I'm afraid your luck as ran out!" Maria said.

The gothic aristocrat than lifted up a foot and she attempted to slam it down on Yuki's back. If the first stomp hit, than Maria would stomp Yuki again and again.

Yuki shuddered as she fell forward onto the mat, her fists clenching off the force of the impact. Now Maria had the advantage over her, and all she wanted to do was to recover her strength enough to pull herself to safety. But it seemed as though that was taking all too slow, as she struggled to catch her breath - and moreover, Maria was already on top of her, throwing a stomp at her back!

Yuki let out a scream as the force of the blow carried her face-down against the canvas, leaving her stunned enough to take more and more stomps from her opponent! Now she was really starting to grow sore from such rough treatment. The joshi rookie steeled herself, her determination to escape this predicament growing stronger in her, as she clawed at the mat to try and drag herself away from Maria's barrage of stomps!

Maria mirthlessly chuckled as Yuki screamed from the stomping barrage. This is where upstarts like this peasant belonged, under the feet of their superiors. The Italian goth's chuckled harder at her opponent's pathetic attempts to crawl away.

"Crawling away? What happened to all that bravado?" Maria hissed as she then attempted to kneel by Yuki's left side and pick up the young joshi's arm. If Maria succeeded, the blue blooded girl would then wrap an arm around Yuki's forearm, forcing Yuki on her right side. Maria would then try to twist it, and use her other arm to press against Yuki's shoulder, making the armbar that much more painful!

What Yuki needed right now was to get away from Maria before she was in a worse spot than she already was. It may not have been the most glamorous of moves, but survival was more important. Yuki would have to admit, though, that Maria's taunts did hit her. She stopped where she was, narrowing her eyes and clenching her teeth as she stared back up at the Italian aristocrat. "It's your attitude that's truly shameful here!" she shouted back, but in getting so caught up in her rebuttal, Yuki had delivered Maria the chance to strike again!

As Maria ducked down, Yuki found she wouldn't react in time to stop her from taking her by the arm and turning her over. "Hey, what are-" was all she got a chance to say before the pain in her back and arm filled her senses, and she screamed even louder now that Maria was forcing her arm down against her own shoulder! Though she had to shut her eyelids tight just to brace herself through the pain, Yuki knew she had been nearing the ropes. The only solace she might have, she thought, was if she could get a rope break, which was exactly what she was doing now as she reached for the ropes once again!

Maria's mouth curled into an arrogant smirk. A smirk that grew more malevolent at poor Yuki's cries of anguish. The di Valentina ruthlessly torqued the poor girl's arm. Luckily for Yuki, Maria was too distracted from indulging in her sadistic please that the Italian didn't notice Yuki was by the ropes. Sure enough, the Japanese girl manage to grab the bottom rope, wiping the smirk off Maria's face.

Maria torqued the hold further, glaring down at Yuki while the referee ran towards them.

"Rope break! Break the hold!" the young referee ordered, but Maria ignored her. If there was anything worse than an upstart, it was some low class official that thought they were her equal.

"One! Two! Three! Four!" The referee counted, before once more demanding, "Break the hold!"

Maria glared back at the referee with such malice that it caused the diminutive girl to squeak. The aristocrat smirked. Just goes to show even these peasants can be cowed in their place. Maria then let go, getting up.

"Oh, forgive me. I was just so caught up in the action that I didn't notice your warnings.." Maria pseudo-apologized.

This was not going very well for Yuki at all. Pain tolerance was never her strong suit, and when she was faced with a hold like this one, that weakness was coming back around to bite her. Tears started to well up in her eyes as she gnashed her teeth in frustration, trying as best she could to hold out. Her screams became choked and hoarse as she tried to keep them down, knowing full well that Maria would delight at the opportunity to mock her about them, but Yuki's own constitution was flagging as well. Even when she managed to grab the ropes, it still wasn't satisfying for Maria, who cruelly left her hold in place. Yuki shook her head back and forth in desperation now, but after what seemed like an eternity, Maria at last let go!

Panting for breath, Yuki rolled back up, seating herself against the ropes as Maria drew back to try and gain her bearings. A bit of a blush came to her face as she thought about how she'd reacted; it certainly wasn't what she had hoped for for first impressions, and she was growing ever more concerned by the thought of Maria taking advantage of her newly revealed weakness. Yuki took in a longer breath, climbing back up to her feet as she rubbed her weary arm. She narrowed her eyes at Maria in disdain, but for now, she knew that going back in swinging was going to be more trouble than it was worth in her current state. Her current plan was to wait and recover, hoping it would be Maria who would come to her.

Maria smirked at Yuki’s glare, courtesy of her handiwork. “Oh, I’m sorry. Did I go too hard on that poor arm of yours dear?” Maria derisory taunted, smirking harder at Yuki rubbing the injured arm.

So far, Yuki was hanging back. Maria had a feeling that the Japanese girl was waiting for Maria to go after her, giving the rookie more time to recover. Though the Italian Aristocrat loathed to admit it, she learned the hard way that Yuki was far more strategic than Maria expected from a peasant.

But Maria knew that Yuki, like all of the lower class, was an uncouth hot head. Why else would the Japanese girl strike Maria at the start of the match rather than do things the civilized way. In any case, it was time to bait that temper of hers.

”Well, if you wish, I can take it easier on you,” Maria said in a disingenuous sweet voice. ”After all, I always give all my opponents a sporting chance. I consider it my noblesse oblige to the unfortunate, unskilled and untalented,” Maria continued, attempting to taunt her foe in the hopes that would cause the tired Yuki to act rash and charge at her, giving Maria a chance for another counter

The pain in Yuki's arm wasn't about to subside any time soon, she thought - and that was something she was worried about. She panted for breath as she tried to get her bearings, but of course, Maria still had to taunt her about the source of her weakness. Yuki shot up a glare dead in her eye as she clutched her shoulder, her stance growing tense. Maria knew she had found a weak point - and here she was exploiting it.

There was more that Maria was exploiting, too - like how she was now targeting Yuki's pride. As Yuki was left to recuperate, she was forced to stare down at Maria as she talked her down, even offering to go easy on her! Now Yuki's eyes went wide as she sucked in a breath. She might have been a rookie in many regards, still making a name for herself in the big leagues, but she had a few years under her belt already in the independent joshi wrestling circuit. As if she really needed Maria to go easy on her...she had just been having a spot of bad luck was all! With each of those "un-"'s that Maria listed off, Yuki grew more tense, her body starting to quake with pent-up anger.

In better times, someone as usually collected as Yuki was might have realized she was rushing headlong into a trap. But Yuki was already winded from all she'd been through, and right now all she wanted was to prove Maria wrong. Putting down her head and holding her good arm out in front of her, she charged in closer, going for a clothesline - and inadvertently putting herself into harm's way.

Maria gave a sneering, haughty giggle at the look of absolute hatred Yuki gave her. These upstarts had such fragile egos. Which, of course made them inferior to the true elite.

“Hmph. It’s about time you show yourself to be the brainless brute you are,” Maria venomously thought. She was never going to forgive the Japanese girl for humiliating her at the beginning of the match.

Like a matador gracefully dodging a brutish bull, Maria would attempt to duck under Yuki’s outstretched arm. The Italian would then attempt to grab Yuki’s left arm. If Maria succeeded, than she’ll try to stretch the captured arm across her chest, exposing Yuki’s left upper arm and shoulder. With a sick, mirthless smile on her face, if everything was going according to plan, Maria would try to swiftly dropdown to her back. This would force poor Yuki’s hurt left arm to jam into the mat rather painfully in a Single Arm DDT!
