Thunderbirds vs British Bombshells

Gemma held her aching midsection, stunned by the power Tina was able to throw into that kick. Before the white-haired Brit could recover, the Thundergirl was already on top of her, arm on Gemma's waist, another tucked over her head. Gemma's eyes went wide as she realized what Tina had in mind for her.

"No!" Gemma managed to shout, right before Tina drove her skull straight into the mat with a thunderous crash! The DDT was quick efficient, and usually enough to bring even a competitor as quick as Gemma to a screeching halt. "Uuughhn," Gemma moaned, her head lulling on the mat. Stunned, the punky Bombshell went limp, arms lazily flopped to either side of her, her toned bum sticking straight up in the air. At ringside, Holly cringed at her partner being pounded into such an undignified position, realizing that the Bombshells' quick run of dominance had just been put to a hard stop.

Tina saw the momentum shift and glanced back at Alaina who nodded as she began climbing to the top rope. Tina pulled Gemma up by the hair and looked to grab her around the head once more, this time grabbing her waist as she pulled her up to her feet. "Allie this is a bit different isn't it?" Tina said as she tried to lift Gemma up for a vertical suplex to the mat!

Tina intended on sending Gemma hard to the mat with the duplex, then following up by tagging the already perched Alaina into the match! From there the amazon would show that the 187b 42 year old could still do all facets of the wrestling game, leaping off the top with a frog splash to try to come crashing down right on top of Gemma! She wasn't sure if Gemma saw any of her old matches or not, but if she hadn't she was going to find out the hard way that the amazon wasn't a one dimensional lady!

Gemma was limp in Tina's grip, head swimming after the effects of the more powerful girl's DDT. Which made it all too easy for Gemma to get hoisted up into position for what Tina had planned next.

"Gemma! Look out!" Holly was bouncing up and down on the ring apron, her chest popping over the top rope as she reached out hopelessly for a tag. She watched in wide-eyed horror as Gemma got pulled up into position for the suplex, while Alaina climbed the turnbuckle.

"Uuhnn," Gemma moaned, blood rushing to her head before Tina slammed her onto her back. Worse, Alaina's powerful body came crashing down on top of her right after, flattening the punky Bombshell. "AAARGH!" Gemma cried out, as the frog splash folded her in half. The ring echoed with the impact, and Gemma was left reeling by the unexpected high-flying offense while the fans cheers with surprise. Hurting and shocked at Alaina's offense, Gemma lay flat on her back, arms going up to try and nurse her aching midsection, boots pounding the mat in pain.

Alaina saw Gemma's reaction to the splash, and knew that it may be worth trying a pin! Alaina laid across her chest and hooked a leg, grinning as she winked at the crowd. the referee slid into place and raised his arm up to start the count!

"ONE!"

Alaina looked down at Gemma. "Didn't think a big lady could fly did ya? I am full of surprises my dear." Alaina said as she kept the pin held hoping that she could keep Gemma down longer. It was early and the woman was gritty. However, Alaina was going to try to send a message to the young team. They had to know that the Thundergirls weren't ones to mess with. They were serious on the tag scene, and intended to prove it to the crowd tonight!

Gemma was practically curled into an agonizing ball, and all too easy for Alaina to hook for a pin. The punky Bombshell grimaced in pain as Alaina's strong body pressed her against the mat and trapped her in a pinning predicament. Gemma winced, feeling her belly ache as she tried to take in the air she needed to free herself of this hold.

"TWO!"

Gemma took Alaina's taunting in silence, instead focusing on saving her strength. With a burst of energy, Gemma grunted and pumped her legs and hips outward against Alaina to break herself out of the pinfall. It was tough, moving a woman that had a significant size and strength advantage over her, but Gemma knew she had a lot to prove. If the British Bombshells went down this quickly, it would forever mark them as easy victims, in the locker room!

"W-would've hoped," Gemma coughed, finally responding to Alaina. "You're gonna be surprised when I g-get up ... and kick your bum ..."

Alaina felt Gemma kick out and rolled off to get a distance away, allowing herself to get up. "All right then Gemma, show me what ya got!" Alaina said as she crouched at the ready, watching as Gemma rose to her feet. Gemma may have been smaller but Alaina as much as she conditioned was aware that the speedster was far younger than her. At 42 Alaina could keep up to a point. Gemma was faster and likely had more endurance although Alaina was no slouch in that department by any means. She didn't get her reputation by not being tough as nails or able to go the distance.

Alaina waited for Gemma to get up and then would lunge in, trying to grab an arm and Irish whip Gemma into the ropes as hard as she could! Alaina would stand in the center of the ring setting herself up for a powerslam upon the return if Gemma didn't dodge or counter.

Gemma winced as she stood up, one arm still clutching her aching midsection. Having been on the end of two body-wracking moves in short order always took a lot out of a body, and Gemma was definitely feeling the effects of her beating. Still, the match wasn't over, and it was a long way to go if she wanted to keep her dignity.

Nursing her wounds, Gemma wasn't in position to reverse Alaina's attempt at an Irish whip. Instead, the punky Bombshell was hurled helplessly at the ring ropes, her body digging into them as she hit the edge of the ring. The rebound, the tight ropes digging into her skin, opened Gemma's eyes. Woke her up a bit, just as her body went hurtling toward Alaina.

Coming back, Gemma could see Alaina setting to catch her for a hard power move. So, Gemma had to decide how her body was going to come back to her opponent. Aware of her feet again, Gemma bit her lip, threw her upper body back, and kicked her feet up. If she could do it in time, she would come back into Alaina's body not with a run, but with a high-flying dropkick!

""Ooomph!" Alaina wasn't expecting that one! Gemma had recovered and turned the attempted powerslam against Alaina, leaving her sprawled out on the mat, slowly sitting up as she tried to rise back to her feet. This woman was a tough one. However, Alaina wanted to try to get back into the fight, knowing that she wanted to keep Gemma in the match.

The longer Gemma was in and isolated the more likely it was for her to just need a few key power moves to hammer the woman, putting her away for the first fall. Alaina knew how important it was to get that first fall in a best 2 out of 3 falls match. It was like playing with house money in a way. The amazon got back up, shaking her head as she kept her eyes on Gemma, hoping that she would be able to try to lunge back in and attempt to grab not the woman for a grapple!

Gemma lay on her back after landing the dropkick, chest heaving as she struggled to recover her breath. She'd already taken some hard hits, and her opponents had switched things up on her. Gemma leaned up, looking for her partner, but Holly's corner seemed pretty far away, at the moment.

Being first girl in was tough, especially when the other team was getting things rolling. Tina and Alaina were no slouches, Gemma thought to herself, and might actually be the toughest challenge the Bombshells have faced, yet! Not that they fared so well against those other challengers, either ...

Rolling up, Gemma kept breathing, kept centering herself. Before she knew it, however, Alaina had her in a grapple, trapping her. Desperate, Gemma reached out for Holly's hand, pushing against the amazon to try and close the horrible, impossible distance. Holly, for her part, reached over the top rope, clutching the string of the turnbuckle, perched on the middle and reaching. Still, it was a hell of a distance, and despite the fans clapping in support, it was painfully unlikely Gemma was going to be able to shove the amazon Alaina far enough to close the distance!

Alaina saw Gamma trying to shove her back and her desperate bid worked! Alaina stumbled back a few steps and saw the attempted tag! She may not be able to stop the tag bhut she could make the Bombshells pay by giving Gamma a parting gift.

Alaina lunged in, trying to clothesline Gamma as she made the tag! She was still the legal woman as Alaina lunged forward although she now had to prepare for a fresh, energetic Holly now!
