Gathering clouds - Sunny Soule vs Kodama Suzume

With her opponent replying, Suzume would rise her eyebrow, a moment ago she was complaining about Suzume going too hard and now she was confused about being called out for that, she was surely puzzling.

Moments later she would once more weve between Suzume's attacks, retreating further back and going for the ropes. That gave Suzume just enough time to sidestep, though if it was a less flashy move she might have not had time for that. Somewhat startled at how close such remove got to hitting her with no setup she would try to stomp at Sunny as soon as she would fall down. Even though she wasn't hit yet, she could already tell that her opponent's speed would become a problem if she got more serious.

Sunny would race to the ropes and come back before throwing herself feet-first towards Suzume. Unfortunately for her, she had whiffed, falling back. Kodama retained her speed at being able to dodge, much to the Breezy Blonde's chagrin.

Upon landing on her back, a boot came down onto her chest in a stomp. With a groan of pain, Sunny wrapped her arms around the assaulting limb and kept it tight as she winced. "Babe... You need to chill a bit," said Soule, her voice strained.

And then the Hawaiian would pull on the leg as she pulled her own legs back before throwing them forward, aiming to hit Kodama's other leg with both feet! She wanted to send Kodama into a split to test her flexibility, however abrupt it may be, while also giving her a chance to recover from that stomp.

Suzume would rise her eyebrow at Sunny grabbing her leg, she tried to rise it up to stomp again but found the girl's grip to be a tight one. Just as she was about to try something else, however, her other leg was pushed out from under her in the opposite direction to the one being grabbed! Kodama hissed in pain, while a split was nothing new to her, having it forced so violently was very low on her list of things to do again.

Still, it wasted precious seconds of this match and her opponent was still treating it like a casual get-together, that would simply not do. Pulling the kicked leg to the side and swinging it over her opponent's body, Suzume would reach for her arm to try and pull her into an armbar! "If you need me to go easy on you, just say!"

Sunny Soule had managed to force Kodama into a split. As she expected, her opponent was quite flexible herself, and the Hawaiian seemed tickled by that, letting out a light giggle. It would suddenly be broken though as Suzume began to shift her position, lifting up her legs to lock around Sunny's arm.

Letting out a yip of surprise and pain, Soule would quickly start to shift out of her position, trying to leverage herself up onto her feet, hovering over Kodama as her arm was being torn at. She let out a soft groan and then replied to Kodama's taunting, giving a short nod. "Oh, yeah... Totally dude. Go as easy as you can. You should have led with that." She smiled through a grimace, trying to position herself.

She shuffled, spinning Kodama around while she tried to get herself in the right position. Sunny was ring aware enough to know where she needed to be currently. Despite being out of it half the time, she definitely was more aware than she came across. And then, once she was in position, Sunny kicked her legs back, going flat on her stomach with the hold, and the referee called for a rope break! Soule's feet had cleared the bottom ropes!

Suzume would keep shifting her body to best keep the hold as they went before she would suddenly be told to let go, she would let out a groan of frustration to that but comply nonetheless. Still, as she did, she would send a kick at Sunny's head before completely giving up control over her arm.

"So you come here, before thousands of people and need someone to hold back on you?" Suzume said after getting up, spreading her arms wide as she took a step back from Sunny. "Why do you even bother? Better just run before you get hurt!" She'd continue to taunt to a mixed reaction from the audience.

The Breezy Blonde had her feet on the ropes, seeming relatively content with her rope break despite the painful move. A slight grimace was on her face from the pain until she was let go, at least until she felt that kick to her head, putting her hand to it with a grunt of pain. It was a glancing blow, but it still hurt as her face twisted into slight annoyance. "No, dude. It would just be cool if you went easy on me," said Sunny, started to push herself up as she rolled her sore shoulder. "So that way I have an easier match and I don't get hurt as much. You totally don't get the vibe."

Canting her head as she pursed her lips, Soule would then add, "But like... we're in a match. It sounds like you want me to run to make it easier. So... you get it then, right?" said Sunny, shrugging and looking to the referee for back up, who wanted no part of the discussion. The Hawaiian babe would then walk towards Kodama, squinting at her. "Getting major mixed signals here dude," added Sunny, adopting a rather sloppy defensive position.

Suzume sighed and shook her head. "Why do I even bother" She expected to get some fire out of Sunny, hurt her pride so she would at least for a moment take the fight seriously and not like it was just some rave. Now, given her overall disposition, she even started to doubt if the girl was even sober, not that it mattered.

What did matter was the fight, even if her opponent insisted on treating it like a play session, she still had her duty and not getting what she wanted out of that taunt, convincing would have to be done by a different method. Twisting her body, she would send a kick seemingly aimed at Sunny's side only to abruptly change direction and go for her head. If it was all, it wouldn't be dissimilar to a question mark kick but it was not all, at the last moment, Suzume would pull her leg in, making it miss Sunny's head only to then violently push it outward, transforming the attack into a back kick aimed directly for sunny's face!

Sunny Soule seemed to be getting more annoyance from her opponent. It wasn't entirely uncommon with wrestlers her faced her, but Kodama seemed to be taking this fight far more seriously. She assumed her sloppy defensive pose, waiting for a strike she knew would be coming from Suzume. She was persistent like that. It would come in the form of a kick to the side, and as Sunny side-stepped to avoid it, it suddenly came right for her face.

The Breezy Blonde would then manage to barely get her arms up to protect her face, stumbling a few paces back from the impact of the blow as she pursed her lips. It might have been time to turn it up a little bit. Huffing out a sigh, Sunny would then come back with a cartwheel, facing Kodama. And on the way with this flashy move, she would attempt to wrap her legs around Suzume's head, aiming to take her down with a headscissors takedown as she came down! She figured it would be a good start to get Kodama off her game.

Suzume saw Sunny in what seemed like her usual fashion at this point, go for a flashy move. With no setup prior she could have just stepped off the direct line between them and avoided it but she didn't. With how things were going she figured she could use that move against her attacker and that was a mistake. Too narrow on her feet to stop the takedown, she went to the ground with a thud, only managing to break into a roll directly from it to land on all fours, whipping her face with a frustrated snarl and rolling her shoulders, hoping it would elevate some of the pain in her back.

She wasn't planning however to let Sunny get away with it and while they were both still on the ground she would pounce at her opponent to get on top of her. There she would extend one arm to her opponent's head to push it down to the mat while she would bring the other up and let out her frustration with a series of punches aimed at the blond's head!

Sunny Soule had performed a picture perfect cartwheel that transitioned into the headscissors takedown, preening happily at the success of her graceful move as Kodama went down and Sunny was in a seated position. She enjoyed doing the flashy moves, being able to seamlessly throw them into combat. It was her cleverness in being able to string her athletic maneuvers into wrestling moves that really helped her stay a step ahead. And it was all of that which made her opponents not like to fight her--least of all, Kodama Suzume.

As the Breezy Blonde went to approach her opponent again, she was tackled to the ground and immediately being pelted with punches to the head. They were frustrating blows, not anything more planned or measured for maximum impact. Sunny would shield her head after the first few, letting out loud grunts of pain, managing to deflect most of the ones after that. She opted to stay where she was as the referee would start to count Kodama out for a disqualification if she didn't get off of her! If Soule lasted that long, she figured she'd be in good enough of shape to continue fighting.
