Submission war !! Katherine "Drifter" Scarlett vs Susumaru Sasozira "The Cobra"

Susumaru was doing all her best, withstanding all of Drifter's efforts was getting harder and harder, as with each passing second she required more energy to not let Drifter free, and although she would not let Drifter break her grips, Drifter had thought of another strategy, so by making a great force forward, Susumaru would meet Drifter on the ground, completely ruining the grip!
The crowd was excited and shouting Drifter's name, she proudly showed that she would not give in so easily to Susumaru's arms, this being something interesting that she wanted to face.

It was dangerous, but Kay was able to just about scamble away from Cobra's first submission hold. It had come close to a full minute, and would have been a quick and easy point for The Cobra had she been successful. Gasping out, Kay was still in pain, still feeling the lasting effects of the hold she had been trapped within, but she knew she had to act fast or the Cobra might try and wrap her up into something else.

Biting on her lower lip, Kay tried to take advantage of the situation whilst both women were down upon the mat. She flicked her legs out towards Cobra, trying to catch her neck if she could. If she was successful, it was Kay's intent to try and lock Susumaru into a dangerous headscissors if she could. Her intent would be to squeeze her throat in the dangerous hold, no doubt attempting to trap her on the ground with her!

Susumaru was still recovering from having forced her body too much in that grip, knowing that although she would not have completed the point, she would have done great damage to Drifter, but before she could get up, her head would be caught between Drifter's legs, and so, with a small scream, Susumaru would be caught under Drifter's movement, pushing Drifter's legs to get free, knowing that now she would be against time to get free before she lost the first round.

A minute was a long time... Drifter was all too aware how difficult this would be. Still, for now she had the Cobra within a headscissors... it felt like she could potentially kill two birds with one stone. With her legs locked tightly around her neck, it gave Drifter precious time to get over the the Cobra Twist her body had to endure moments ago... it also gave her a potential chance to secure a fall against Cobra.

With that in mind, her ankles slapped together, whilst her legs straightened, giving Cobra a good long squeeze around her neck. For now, a good twenty seconds had passed, but plenty could happen within the next fourty... Drifter was all too aware of that.

Susumaru was under a bad situation with those legs squeezing her head, knowing that the counter was playing against her, and although it was getting tighter and tighter, she managed to resist very well, although sooner or later she had to free herself, so with her feet she would start pushing backwards, trying to get to the ropes, while her hands were making every effort to get out of that damn situation

Cobra was resiliant, Drifter could certainly not take that away from her. Reaching the half a minute point of the hold, Cobra had no intention of tapping out, nor looking to remain within the hold for the full minute. She began to move her body, shifting both women along the surface of the mat towards the ropes. Drifter bit on her lower lip, not wanting to allow Cobra to escape so easily. She began to double down upon her scissor hold, straightening her legs, going for a long winded squeeze to attempt to try and stun Cobra!

Susumaru felt like with every moment she was there, her body would begin to feel the effects of less air than it had a few moments ago, when Drifter began to squeeze with double the force, Susumaru would feel her air cut off, so being close to the ropes, she would decide to triple her effort to reach the ropes, being warned by the referee that 45 seconds had already passed, which put Susumaru at great risk.

It was close.... no doubt it had been over 50 seconds or so, but Cobra was able to throw herself towards the ropes, initiating a much needed rope break after a desperate scramble. Kay cursed herself mentally, but there was little she could do about it. Being an honourable fighter, she quickly released her legs from Cobra's neck, freeing her from the gruelling headscissor. Drifter quickly picked herself up to her feet, giving Cobra some time and space to recover, as the crowd began to get into the unique challenge, beginning to cheer for both fighters who were not holding back.

"Well done... I thought I had your for certain." Drifter could not help but compliment, before she raised her guard up, ready to go at it again!

Susumaru for a moment had thought it was over, but her will seemed to overcome her fears, managing then to break the grip, she would be recovering, hearing the audience screaming with excitement, Susumaru would stand up using the ropes as support, breathing deeply, and moving her arms in a strange way, she would be ready, looking excitedly at Drifter and saying to him.
come on! I'm ready for more, that point will be more than mine!

and so, Susumaru would throw herself against Drifter, trying to do a foot sweep.

Drifter would watch as Cobra would advance, coming for her and declaring her intentions. She would go low, going for a foot sweep, no doubt eager to take Drifter back down to the ground to start the struggle all over again. Drifter was good on the standing game however, and she was able to leap upwards when Cobra's leg sweeped below her, evading the attack. She shifted towards Cobra, getting her from behind as she finished the sweep, wrapping her arms around her torso from behind in a rear bearhug!

Her intent was not to go for a submission here however, but to try and lift Cobra, looking to try and hit her with a German Suplex move! The only issue however was that she put a lot of strength into it. It was possible Cobra would be able to flip and land on her feet!
