This was a much more vicious than anything one could see on some wrestling federation match. These two women were not gonna let the other to have a breath, they pounce on their opponent immediately and relentlessly.
Just like Korra here, tripping Mikasa and immediately going in to flatten Mikasa's head to the mat, but the latter rolled away and quickly got her feet. However, Korra too was quick to get on her feet and was the first to strike Mikasa in the face, followed with a couple of punches to the ribs, then an uppercut to the chin to straighten Mikasa up before landing a couple more jabs on Mikasa's abs that were making Korra feel slightly aroused, challenged and even jealous, yet feeling admiration as well.
A hard jab to the nose straightened Mikasa up once again.
Korra had the intention of putting her opponent down to the mat with a couple of strong blows, but it seems the Avatar underestimated the Ackerman's tenacity, who in a split second capitalized on Korra standing on a single leg, catching the latter in a grapple and taking Korra down to the mat the same way Eren had once taken the armoured titan down to the ground.
SLAM!!
Korra's upper back and the back of her head hit the mat hard. Hard enough to crack the area they had struck. "Uaagh!"
This was only the start of Korra's troubles as Mikasa, not waiting for anything, of course, straddled the tan woman and started pounding her. It took a couple of punches to the face to snap Korra out of her previous dizziness. "ohppf... ghhk!"
But then Korra started guarding her head with her arms, but the punches continued raining for a while and it got Korra quite annoyed.
She didn't care if she would get hit in the process, but she wanted to land some hits of her own. And so, she would wait for what she considered would be the best moment before dropping her guard and sending a swift left-right combo for Mikasa's face.

Re: Attack on Avatar - Mikasa vs Korra
Having learned the art of combat to survive and protect as opposed to pride, it wasn't too alarming too see Mikasa as this relentless fighter, especially with this being more on the lines of a personal endeavour than just practice.
Having successfully avoided Korra's overhead attack, her still being close to the bender led to Mikasa being punished by further blows. She hasn't recalled fighting someone with bare hands this intensely before, even what happened with Annie paled in comparison to this. Maybe Mikasa would have shown more respect to her opponent's physique and skill if that line wasn't crossed.
Having almost reached a nose bleed, Mikasa pounced at the best time when Korra's form wasn't stable. A listener would presume giant monsters were fighting nearby thanks to uproar's recent slam. How long can this arena hold? Having witnessed this move in motion enough times midst her bitterness, she immediately capitalised with repeated punches. "You are outmatched..." She uttered while continuing to pummel Korra midst her guard, alternating between the body and head even.
However her own progress would be halted by the tanned woman's retaliation. "Ughh!" Her head whipping back as a result of Korra's swift strikes. Yet her legs still remained anchored. Glaring at her foe once again, she tried anticipating for another punch. If the bender were to throw another hand, Mikasa would try to catch said punch and lean to the side. pulling Korra's forelimb in between her thighs for an armbar. If instead no further retaliation came from the tanned woman, the soldier would instead try to incapacitate her target with further punches for a battle of attrition.

Re: Attack on Avatar - Mikasa vs Korra
With Korra's change in tactics, the ground and pound changed into a boxing match where managed to land a couple of sneaky strikes on Mikasa's face.
Korra smirked a little underneath her guard and waited for another similar chance. Punches continued landing on her arms and her tense abs which Korra was fine with taking if it meant she could return the favour.
Soon Korra noticed another chance to strike and took it. Dropping her guard and sending a quick straight punch for Mikasa's face.
However, this chance proved to be a fake out when Mikasa leaned back from the punch, dodging it while at the same time grabbing Korra's right arm and dragging it down into an armbar.
It was a nice move, Korra had to admit, but there was no time for admiration as Mikasa's legs were already draped over Korra and the submission hold was already applied and Korra's arm was taking the heat. "Ugghh..." Korra grit her teeth as she was constantly fighting against the hold by flexing her arm and pulling in the opposite direction of Mikasa's pull, lessening the effect of the hold at least.
Korra would attempt to roll her whole body backwards. If it worked, then Korra would be on her knees, her face looking down instead of up. Same with Mikasa, whose face and body would be facing the mat, but still keeping the arm bar in.
If it failed, then nothing would change. Korra would continue embracing the stress on her arm and thinking of something else.

Re: Attack on Avatar - Mikasa vs Korra
The boxing match would return to a MMA style contest rather soon.
Rather than gamble on her strength and weight advantage, Mikasa decided to wait for the most appropriate time for a counterattack. Since Korra wasn't going to play chicken, this punch would only swipe the air until it caught in Mikasa's arms. Within one fluid motion, the tanned woman's arm was entangled between two toned legs, leading to the term bender possibly being given a new meaning.
Opposing forces still clashed in the ring, trying to seize control of that one arm. Mikasa did everything in her power to keep those limbs melded to Korra's arm, applying as much possible pressure at current limits, gritting her teeth as well. Just as she was about to force her entire body weight against the mat, the Avatar already thought of a similar plan.
"Aahhh! Urhhhh!" A 180 degree flip accompanied by Mikasa's face being slapped against the fragile arena. Somehow still keeping that armbar applied, except the turn meant Korra's elbow wasn't overly bent. Being unable to glimpse her opponent's actions, coupled with forehead grazing the mat occasionally made the hold feel a bit awkward as well. "Just give up..." She uttered still doubling down on her less than efficient submission.

Re: Attack on Avatar - Mikasa vs Korra
Korra was now in auch better position. She was about to start with her next move but Mikasa's words stopped her for a moment. Korra couldn't believe the Ackerman chick was still going on with that 'give up crap'. The Avatar was in disbelief and she later felt really annoyed.
"Ghh! You're saying that while being face down to the mat? Gghrr!" This pissed Korra off and made her blood boil enough to flex her strength in a show of power. First, she started pulling her arms out while the other arm pushed at Mikasa's butt. "Rrgh! I have a question for you... Do YOU maybe wanna give up?"
If Korra managed to pull her arm out, she would immediately grab onto Mikasa's left leg around the shin and the ankle. "While you still have your bones intact?!!" Korra would add as she would start spinning Mikasa 360 degrees, round and round. Korra would spin faster and faster, fast enough so that Mikasa wouldn't even be touching the mat.
And then Korra would let go, sending her into and/or through whatever would be in Mikasa's way.

Re: Attack on Avatar - Mikasa vs Korra
Mikasa is now looking like the stubborn type for still trying to work over that arm despite the uncomfortable situation. She could have cut her losses by retreating and plan another submission at a later point, but her jaws were clenched deep even after hearing Korra yell closeby. After a brief power struggle, Mikasa was forced to let her opponent free while being nudged away.
The young soldier couldn't crawl away due to her leg being suddenly seized in Korra's hands. In little time, the Avatar proved she can make a tornado without airbending at all by showing off her raw power and flexibility. "Gah!" With every turn, Mikasa grunted as her body became repeatedly worn down no matter how much she wriggled. Unable to claw out of this death roll, all the stored momentum was built up for this one event. Korra finally released her opponent, resulting in Mikasa to take flight.
If the Titanslayer's face could be glimpsed, she would actually show slight terror in response to experiencing such godlike strength and knowing what lurked in front. The cornerpost seemed to be in place to halt Mikasa's journey. Without her chains, she couldn't alter her path in the slightest, thus leading to a collision with some unexpected results. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" A bellow like no other reverberated around the room as bits of debris flew around the arena. The ring was completely unstable thanks to two dented cornerposts but despite all of this collateral damage, the Ackerman continued to fly past until she plummeted towards the outside floor creating another small crevice. "ARGHHHHHHHH!" Mikasa howled once again having taken full brunt of the most devastating attack yet. How was she alive after that?
She laid face down with an arm outstretched seemingly motionless. Was this over?
Suddenly a fist closed pressing against the broken floor, revealing a barely conscious Mikasa with a blank stare in her eyes. This battle would continue but she needed plenty of time to regain the strength to stand, let alone fight.

Re: Attack on Avatar - Mikasa vs Korra
Mikasa really asked for this. This 'give up' crap triggered the hotheaded Avatar to the point of yeeting Mikasa out of the ring. Give up? Hell no! Actually, it was about time for Mikasa to give up.
Korra took a couple of steps forward to check up on Mikasa and the latter wasn't moving. With a job well done, Korra figured was about time to leave and sighed. "Better luck next time" she said as she started walking away and getting off the ring in the direction of the showers, passing by Mikasa who was a few meters to the left of Korra and then she was behind as Korra continued walking. "Ah?!" But then Korra heard a clap sound of Mikasa's fist hitting the floor. It was a bit like a jump scare at first until Korra turned around and saw Mikasa standing up. That's when Korra's expression turned to one of a surprise "You still want to fight me?"
Mikasa did not look like she was in a condition to continue this, but the look in her eyes made it seem like the woman had only a single goal in life - to beat Korra. That made Korra annoyed again - was she still looking down on Korra even now? "We both know you can't beat me! Not in this condition!" Korra would declare, putting her hands on her hips confidently.

Re: Attack on Avatar - Mikasa vs Korra
Mikasa would sooner drop dead than saying give either. Despite having received a cracked rib and being surrounded by debris, she somehow was capable of continuing this fight, even if not immediately.
Enough time did pass for Korra to reasonably assume that her opponent was no longer conscious, but the dark haired fighter made her presence known finally returning to a standing position. "There won't be a next time" Mikasa muttered at the very moment she punched the floor. Her deadpan expression contorted a little upon witnessing the fellow woman still seeing her as weak. "It...was only a scratch..." Words barely leaving her mouth. So the bender needed a little physical proof, so the soldier will give it to her. She only promised to not use any blades in battle, having noticed some training equipment lying on some nearby racks.
Making calculated steps towards the filled frame, she reached out to seize two hand dumb bells, weighing approximately 20kg each. Yet she had minimal difficulty holding them up in both arms. Of course she was here to fight and not just workout. "How about you catch? EYAHHH!" Suddenly performing a left underarm toss, flinging the piece of equipment towards Korra like it was a regular projectile. Only seconds after the second weight was also thrown effortlessly towards the other combatant. Maybe it was her opponent who needed to prove they were in peak condition instead. Now paying attention to a nearby barbell, she saw careful removal as tedious so Mikasa threw a swing to dislodge one of the weights from the side. The force being powerful enough to send the metal disc flying towards Korra who already had to worry about dodging two other attacks.
"Still think I have no chance hmmm?" The military fighter returning to a brawler stance. Now having regained feeling in her legs, she burst off into a short run. Even if Korra proved to be nimble as a cat and avoided the metal objects, she still had to worry about the physical threat, being Mikasa attempting to throw a jab towards the bender once she was in range.

Re: Attack on Avatar - Mikasa vs Korra
Korra stood there with an annoyed expression, hands on her hips. She was watching the other woman play tough, though Mikasa's words made it look like this might turn into something much more serious. While Korra did want to beat the crap of 'mrs. better abs', she didn't want to fight someone who could hardly fight back.
Korra raised an eyebrow when Mikasa started walking towards the equipment racks and reached for some dumb bells. "What are you doing? Whoaaah!" Korra exclaimed when the thing flew at her. The avatar flipped over the first one and then ducked under the second projectile after landing.
Then the third projectile came and Korra countered it by jumping a little and performing a 360 degree angle spin kick to send the metal projectile straight at Mikasa. "Hiyyah!"
Korra would proceed to dash towards her opponent and throw a straight right to the face.
At the same time, however, Mikasa did the same and socked the tan woman in the face. "Omph!" Her head shot backwards and Korra was forced a step back, but she would try and put her guard up immediately. "Ugh... You're right, there won't be a next time. Now, we play for keeps."

Re: Attack on Avatar - Mikasa vs Korra
Mikasa had to admit her opponent possessed a few tricks and a bit of honour, but besides the lack of steam Korra was the biggest hothead she came across. This incentivised Mikasa's all or nothing approach easing this spar to a new level.
She didn't need to raise a peep in response to Korra's question. An alternate form of attack paid off in terms of keeping the other fighter on her toes, but the bender proved to be rather adaptive as well. The final battered weight flew towards Mikasa like a giant bullet, but her reactions came into play, pivoting to the side slightly to avoid harm. The weight flew past into a wall leaving a hole in its wake.
Dodging didn't slow Mikasa's advance as she reached Korra and threw her straight punch. Due to being focused in her strike, she didn't have time to dodge this simultaneous attack. "Gahhhhhhhhh!" Her nose taking most of the brunt and was shoved an inch in return by the recent punch. Gritting her teeth back at her foe, Mikasa prepared a guard stance in no time. The wellbeing of just a man kept her going somehow. "Victory is...uhh...mine" Gasping mid-sentence. Being the one to take initiative again, she charged towards Korra, ducking underneath any impending punches in a bid to grab her opponent by the waist area. Provided she wasn't beaten down, she tried to lift the Avatar up and continue hurdling towards a wall, planning to make a woman shaped crevice.
