Re: Yuki Kazikura vs. Mayori [D]

As she remained in Mayori's grip, Yuki was pulled along for the ride when Mayori dropped to the mat, the two of them landing with a thud. The yellow-clad girl clenched her teeth on the impact, trying to ride it out enough to keep on top of the momentum and recollect herself before Mayori could take advantage of their current positions. Now, Mayori would readjust where she was, taking hold of Yuki by the face to hold her in.

Yuki started to pant and groan, twisting herself back and forth to try and get herself free, but Mayori was holding fast. She was starting to see that Mayori knew a few holds - and while they were admittedly basic, it felt like she was building up to something bigger, which would surely spell trouble for Yuki. Deciding she had had enough, Yuki tried to escape from her predicament by swinging an elbow behind her, hoping to hit Mayori with it and get her to release her.

Mayori had managed to apply the facelock on Yuki. Her position had changed to where she was under Mayori’s right side.

Mayori flicked her dark hair back behind her shoulder using a neck motion, getting a better look at where she could traverse Yuki’s body for the next hold. Before that next transition could happen Mayori was poked by an elbow 15 cm or so under her left arm, where her ribs were exposed.

“Ughhh!” She winced and attempted to strike back against Yuki with a downward elbow of her own between her shoulder blades. She needed to keep her opponent blind and not lose this position. If her attempt at pacifying Yuki succeeds, she would then mount her back and straddle her.

Both girls had gone to the mat, but their struggle was far from over. Yuki tried to throw an elbow back at Mayori to try and disrupt her hold, and the sound of her arm striking backwards and impacting off of Mayori's ribs sounded satisfying - for a few seconds, as Mayori wasted no time in trading back with an offensive of her own! Shortly thereafter, she had sent her own elbow into Yuki's back.

With Mayori actually being able to see where she was aiming and being in a less awkward position, Yuki would take this blow even harder, the impact knocking her face-down towards the mat, where she landed with a thud. She groaned under her breath, still stunned under Mayori.

Mayori sat upon Yuki's lower back and positioned her on all-fours just off-center in the ring.

The newcomer then started to put crossface forearm strikes against the right side of Yuki. Three strikes and then she would sit back with chinlock from behind. Her fingers knuckled over the tip of Yuki's chin. Mayori's thighs grasped the sides of her opponent to keep her from changing her orientation too much.

She was employing her strong suits early and she needed to keep Yuki corralled. The nerves were still a factor for Mayori, because she dared not get too comfortable in the offensive position against someone that warned her that she was going to come at her hard. She needed to leave her sputtering intro in the past and focus on the 247th second of her first match. The moment that she was in.

This was starting to look bad. Yuki had just hoped to feel out what Mayori was capable of before to better understand what she was dealing with, but now it looked like her opponent was going for a more proper hold - and that could be tricky for Yuki, who didn't handle taking pain very well. No matter how much she tried to escape, it was looking like Mayori still had more plans for her, as now she followed up her blow with a few more, leaving Yuki slumped stunned against the mat. She could only groan softly in protest as Mayori pulled her back into a crossface, but the jolt of pain going down her spine was enough to remind Yuki that this was a position she didn't want to be in. She would have to get out of this as soon as she could.

Voicing muffled grunts, Yuki tried to twist her back from side to side to make things more difficult for Mayori to secure herself, but with the girl weighing down on her spine, doing so would send another jolt through Yuki's back as she started to bend her own body. Instead, Yuki would go for a different strategy, reaching up to try and grab for Mayori's hands to pry them off her face herself!

Mayori managed to keep Yuki planted long enough for the full application of the hold and the referee came around to the front of the girls to check for legality and on Yuki.

Mayori looked up to see the referee and then attempted to sit back upon her opponent’s lower back. That’s when Yuki’s attempt at escaping her chin lock happened. Mayori was opting to transition into a clutch, but Yuki has gotten her fingers wedged enough to break the lock.

Mayori did sit back on Yuki’s lower body, but it was sans leverage.

The referee had come closer now, checking Yuki closely to catch her if she chose to tap. But that wasn't going to happen any time soon. Yuki had her pride about her still, and the match was still early; she was determined to fight it through! She couldn't give up just now! Instead, saying nothing, Yuki narrowed her eyes in a defiant glare, pulling her opponent's hands free.

Though Mayori tried to press her weight back, Yuki was determined to make a comeback; she had been at the red-clad girl's mercy for too long. She attempted to roll her weight over on her side to toss Mayori off her back; if that worked, she would then try to roll to her knees, brushing her hair out of her eyes in preparation for the next move.

Yuki’s roll succeeds and Mayori ends up on her hands and knees. Landing to the right of Yuki and facing slightly away from her, she feels the referee walk by her. The hold she had was not prolonged or executed well enough to draw a submission this early. Mayori’s strikes have been the most successful and she should opt for more of those so that Yuki can’t resist as effectively.

She looks over her left shoulder, flicking her hair over it as she does so. She sees that Yuki is rolling away from her. Stopping to get her knees under her, Yuki seems poised to make it to her feet first. Mayori pushes her palms against the mat and scrambles to not be caught in a lower position and yielding momentum to her able opponent.

For the first time since coming down ramp, she was feeling up to the honor of the debut. The stronger start belonged to her. This was not time rest on her laurels, however.

With Yuki throwing her weight over to the side, the girl was at last free from her opponent's clutches, as she flung Mayori off her back before getting back on her knees to catch her breath and regroup. So too was Mayori quick to get herself back up, and once again the two of them were apart from one another, returned to a neutral position. Yuki started to circle around Mayori, keeping her distance for now as she tried to regain her strength.

But they wouldn't be separated for long before Yuki made the offer to begin the action once again, as she stepped towards Mayori. Letting out a huff, she offered another lockup - this time, extending her open hands for a test of strength.

Mayori was decidedly against another lockup with the able Yuki. Her own strategy at recovering from a shaky professional wrestling start managed to get her opponent against the mat first. Yukis’s promise to take it to her still rang through her mind. She was not out here in the grand LAW arena to do Mayori any favors.

Mayori nearly sabotaged her debut by running to and inexplicably stopping in front of the ring apron. She would finally put her embarrassment of that entrance behind her and attempt to run at the ropes behind her and barrel toward Yuki with strike that had some momentum behind it. A dropkick? A running or leaping forearm? She didn’t stun Yuki before attempting it, so she had to rely on her speed since she would be telegraphing a strike this way. The surprise would lie in what she chose to attack with.

The crowd watched with interest as the girl in red and white let out a feminine warcry and bounced off the ropes, sending herself at Yuki.
