Wrestle Angels Showdown: Chris Morgan Vs. Thunder Ryuko

Chris was bigger and stronger than Ryuko but it didn't mean that Ryuko could not lift her in return. The thunder empress grabbed onto Chris and leaned in, wrapping her arms around Chris' waist from the front.

Ryuko grit her teeth and tensed up trying to lift Chris for a northern lights suplex to plant her to the mat! Ryuko knew she could not let up or give Chris any reprieve if she wanted to win.

Winded and disoriented from the flying tackle that took the Phenom off of her booted feet, Chris was unpleasantly reminded of the reason behind Ryuko's thunderous nickname after having taken what felt like a lightning bolt of a strike from out of nowhere. The disconcerting sensation of Ryuko arms coiled around her signaled to Chris about the impending suplex which rattled the ring afterward. "NGH!!" Chris grimaced with her back flattened against the canvas before swiveling onto her front side, one hand grasping her lower spine as she attempted a lethargic rise if uninterrupted.

Ryuko smiled a little to herself. Sending Chris to the mat felt good. Real good. She wanted to do it again, and as she got to her feet she grabbed hold of Chris by the arm and hair yanking her hard up to her feet again. Ryuko was going to try to pick Chris up and hold her before stepping forward to drop the bigger woman across her knee for a backbreaker hoping to keep taking it to the big blonde! She was a woman Ryuko felt she had never fully measured up to, and a woman she felt very compelled to prove herself against here in LAW!

Taken aback from the resurgent resilience of her former co-worker, Chris arose with the bitter remembrance of how a match’s direction can be reversed on a dime with only one deft counter. The Phenom soothing the small of her spine when she'd be ushered upward by Ryuko's yanking arms, except once held tightly by her adversary, Chris would clobber the side of Ryuko's head with elbow strikes until she'd loosen her grip. Attempting to reclaim control of the match, Chris would snatch one arm around her foe's head and seemingly attempt a stalled vertical suplex but with The Phenom instead aiming to send her foe into a front forward Gourdbuster instead...

To say that things didn't go according to plan was an understatement. Ryuko moved in to grab Chris but instead had her head rocked by hard elbow shots leaving the Thunder Empress momentarily stunned. That was all the opening her opponent needed. Ryuko was grabbed and lift up, held on display a terrifying moment before being sent crashing down hard to the mat! Ryuko bounced and groaned in pain, rubbing at her back while she shook her head. This was bad and her body had already taken a tremendous beating so far.

Making things worse was that Chris seemed to be far more easily withstanding the punishment Ryuko did to her as opposed to Ryuko struggling to recover when Chris landed offense.
