A Perfect Professional Performance: Akari Ito vs Edith Una (D)

Akari's assault had Edith on high alert. It appears the fanciful Gem of a performer could recognize the brimming talent of her Japanese adversary, for she was taking care to minimize the damage she took by expertly dodging around and away from Akari's rapid strikes. While Edith was maintaining her composure, Akari was only getting more and more ferocious. The spirit of competition and the thrill of a challenge was elevating the Sea Turtle at an exponential rate. With Edith pushing her to keep up and put on the grandest show possible, Akari was forcing herself in body and mind to improve. As the Sea Turtle fought, she felt herself growing as an entertainer and a wrestler. It was a symbiotic process of sorts, each woman boosting the other up in tandem as they strived for greater heights. One could even mistake the glint in Akari's blue eyes as a raging fire as she adapted to Edith's incoming volley.

The Sea Turtle did her best to defend against Edith's bizarre 'rhythm'...no-...Bizarre wasn't the way to put it. The way she fought...it was eccentric, elegant, grandiose...Ahh, this was EXACTLY what the DJ was looking for!!! This 'rhythm'...this 'fight'...It was all extraordinary!!! She could feel her heart beating like a drum in time with Edith's movements, adrenaline coursing through her veins as she dodged and blocked incoming kicks, ducking under surprise elbow attacks, narrowly keeping up with Edith as she constantly had to guess where the pink-haired woman was aiming at next. However, even accounting for this, Akari couldn't peer into the mind of her opponent quite yet. Edith was still an enigma to her, so she wasn't expecting one of her own counterattacks to be met with a counter in turn. Akari thought she had found a small gap in the Hidden Gem's offense, but alas, Edith was prepared for it. Whether intentionally or instinctively, Edith managed to catch the Turtle's leg and quickly swing it around, throwing her off balance and forcing Akari to fall onto the canvas. The Japanese woman manages to catch herself, but the moment she tries to get up, she feels a weight on top of her. Edith cartwheeled across with an elegant form, landing behind Akari and surprising her with a Dropkick right to her back, sending Akari flopping face first a few inches away after grunting.

Edith would get the cartwheel she was looking for before drop kicking the turtle in the back, knocking her down to the mat, getting the rhythm to go in her favour. Edith would almost do a spin-a-ronni as she got back up after the dropkick, quickly trying to keep her momentum going! With Akari still likely stunned after the dropkick, Edith would use the chance to stalk the girl, waiting for her to get back to her feet, before attempting to hit a little hip check, not to damage her but to rather goud her into chasing Edith. If Akari fell for this trick, Edith would respond by running towards the ropes, only to then flip off them, looking to make Akari tumble to the outside!

If this worked, Edith would clap her hands, getting the crowd behind her, before seemignly setting up for a massvie dive to the outside! But The moment Akari braced for impact or better yet dodged out of the way, Edith would suddenly perform a flip onto the apron! She simply stood there long enough for Akari to realize she hadn't jumped ontop of her, before then revering back into the ring, flipping backwards over the top rope, then back rolling back into the middle, hopping up and then doing what those on the indies knew as her "Fancy Feet." She smirked, simply doing some fancy footwork, not saying a word, but her face telling everything that needed to be known as the crowd would cheer at the display of body language, Edith very clearly wordlessly goaded Akari into keep going!

After tumbling to the outside, Akari would dust herself off and shoot a smirk at Edith, rising to the occasion!!! The Sea Turtle NEVER backed down from a challenge!!! So, she kicked things off by grabbing the middle rope and leaning back as far as she could, bending the rope and causing some tension, and planting her feet on the apron's edge to give her leverage. She flashed a wink at Edith and then LAUNCHED herself forward into the ring with a slingshot maneuver, rocketing like a bullet train as she flew between the middle and top ropes, front-flipping through, and barreling into a front roll, poised to attack Edith!!! She seemed as if she was about to spring forward into a diving attack of some kind, trying to put the Hidden Gem on high alert to make her flinch...when the Sea Turtle would surprise the pink-haired indie star by suddenly breaking out into a dance routine, hitting a quick set of breakdancing moves to dazzle the crowd!!! She returned the favor of Edith's showy, taunting performance with one of her own, twisting and turning, popping and locking, and then hitting a stylish pose where she laid down sideways, looking up at Edith with a smug, playful grin~...before kipping up in front of her, coming face-to-face with the woman as if she was about to strike for real!!! Only to give Edith a quick flick on the nose while sticking her tongue out!!!

1, then 2, then 3

"Blehh~...Gotchu~..." She teased, laughing softly. She backs up a few steps and points at Edith, beckoning her with one hand, silently telling her to 'bring it'...This time, Akari would be MORE than ready.

Edith's eyes widened in surprise as Akari not only recovered quickly but also showcased some unexpected agility with a slingshot maneuver. The Hidden gem quickly back pedalled, knocking no to out stay her welcome when it comes to taunting, quickly going on the defencsive as she rolled into the ring. However, her confusion only deepened as Akari transitioned from a potentially threatening dive into a full-blown dance routine. It took her a second to realize before she figured out what Akari was doing, dropping her guard and watchign with a mix of quiet amusment and slight irritation, the sonic sea turtle busting a move! The crowd roared with approval, and Edith couldn't deny that the Sea Turtle had some impressive dance skills. Despite the showy display, Edith maintained her composure, refusing to let Akari's antics get under her skin, putting her hand's behind her back in a compossed manner as she let her finish her set.

Although that wouldn't get under her skin, Akari would do something that would, as the moment she stopped, she kipped up and STOLE EDITH'S NOSE FLICK, the crowd as always gasping in shock and awe, but instead of it being from the usual comical aspect of the nose flick, it was now mixed with the fact it was a taunt Akari had STOLE from Edith, taking a personal jab at the suit clad pinkette wehter she meant to or not. Edith couldn't help but flinch, both from the unexpected touch and the audacity of the move. The crowd erupted in a mix of shock and a comical "HOLY SHIT" chant at Edith's expense, and the Hidden Gem giving a bit of a sour look to Akari.

"Very clever" She muttered, her confidence momentarily shaken. The jab at Edith's usual repertoire of taunts was almost like the sea turtle challenging her to do better. Edith, in a bit of a not so professional move, would be goaded into rushing Akari, as she would twist around, rolling to her corner before running at Akari, attempting to hit a dropkick on the Sea turtle!

The Sea Turtle playfully laughs when she sees the not-so-hidden reaction on the Hidden Gem's face. Apparently, Edith's stoic facial expression was shattered, breaking out in a more...bitter, sharp look after the Sea Turtle gave her a prompt flick on the nose!!! The crowd's reaction, paired with Akari's post-flick laugh, would surely make the pink-haired woman's ego crumble ever so slightly...but this was not a direct jab at her...No, no-...this was indeed a CHALLENGE!!! A challenge to step things up...kick it up a notch...TAKE IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL. Akari beckoned Edith to come at her, so the Hidden Gem did just that. Edith rushed forward with a Dropkick planned in mind as she hurtled herself toward the Sea Turtle.

Akari SWIFTLY rolls out of the way, taking another page from Edith's book as she elegantly springs forward, tucking herself down and gracefully dodging the initial Dropkick attempt. With this well-executed evasive maneuver, the Sea Turtle would be the one to rise up first, countering Edith's Dropkick with one of her own!!! The Japanese wrestler would show her pink-haired opponent how it's done, leaping up and SHOOTING her legs out like a shell rounds out of a shotgun, pumping her feet out toward Edith's upper chest once the Hidden Gem got back onto her feet!!! Akari's open taunt from earlier and this Dropkick reversal would serve as extra kindling for the brewing fire between the two as their rivalry continued to grow with every passing moment of showmanship and intense wrestling prowess!!!

Dodge Roll into Dropkick Counter

Edith's eyes widened in realization as her Dropkick missed its mark, leaving her soaring through the air with nothing to connect with, leaving her with nothing but a feeling of regret, realizing that her eagerness had played right into Akari's hands. She would soften the impact by landing on her front as she missed, but just as she got up, the Sea Turtle, quick on her feet, took full advantage of Edith's misstep. With a fluid motion, Akari leaped into the air, legs extending like a coiled spring being released, the forceful impact of Akari's Dropkick smashed Edith square in the upper chest, sending her sprawling backward.

As Edith grimaced on the mat, the feeling of making such a rooking mistake stung more than the physical pain. She had kept herself open after Akari taunt had gotten to her and now the rhythm of the match was playing some dubstep as apposed to the smooth Jazz from before. The crowd's cheers for Akari grew louder, and Edith knew she needed to regain control before things spiraled further out of her grasp, quickly attempting to get back to her feet as fast as she could, blocking high as to not leave her already hurt chest open, trying to keep her eyes focused on Akari as she got back up!

Akari kips up to her feet, flipping off of the canvas from her back and standing tall with a loud shout to keep this crowd hyped up and invigorated. She stomps her feet and claps her hands, getting motivated and fired up!!! She rushes the semi-dazed Edith down, charging forward with the speed of greased lightning as she assaults her with a barrage of kicks and punches, using her striking ability to keep the pressure up on the Hidden Gems...diamond form under pressure, right~? Akari smirked at her own internal remark, her heart PUMPING vigorously. The Japanese woman looked to be in the zone as her blue eyes sparkled with confidence and energy. Her body glistened underneath the lights as the crowd's rallying cheers fed into this symbiotic feedback loop, constantly pumping the woman up as she attacked Edith, backing her toward a corner. If all went according to plan, the Sea Turtle would attempt to telegraph a Shoulder Charge for Edith to dodge, giving her an opening to do so...in reality, she would attempt to spring off the ropes in the corner for a Triangle Springboard Forearm Smash!!!

Edith would be blocking as Akari kipped up, Edith having to block various kicks and strukes, stumbling back, before dodging a shoulder block, only for Akari to quickly scale the ropes with ease, springing up to the top and hitting a triangle springboard forearm smash! The move was only partly blocked when Edith got her arms up, sending her crashing to the mat with a thud as she grit her teeth, the impact sending her to her spine as she would groan, attempting to roll up unless Akari was already on top of the suit clad girl!

Akari was indeed upon the suited woman, dashing in after knocking Edith back with that impressively agile Forearm Smash variation. That sort of fast-paced, on-the-fly style was a part of Akari's bread and butter when it came to fighting in the ring. Just like herself and Edith, it was flashy...hard-hitting...sudden...and most of all, crowd-pleasing!!! The audience cheers the Sea Turtle to press onward, and so she does, getting up after landing her glancing blow off Edith's guard and rushing after her yet again, this time preparing to catch the Hidden Gem off-guard with a Shining Wizard, aiming to slam her shins and knees face-first into Edith. "KYAHHH!!!!"

Edith would be able to block the elbow smash but blocking only one move didn't mean she was any closer to winning, as Edith would grit her teeth being sent rolling backwards, but as she got back up, looking to pick herself slowly off the ground as she expect to be face to face with the turtle girl, what she wasn't expecting was her turtle themed kneepad to end up smacking her square on the side of his jaw!

Akari smacked into the side of Edith's face with the Shining Wizard, not knocking out Edith but instead sending her crashing down to her back! The suit clad girl taking all the impact into her cheek, crashing backwards and her body folding up and leaving her in a heap on the mat! She would flop to her side after gravity pulled her down, looking dazed as her chest rose and fell gently, left in a quite bad position in the match!
