Eve Summers vs Hikaru Sawazaki (Apex Qualifier)

Hikaru gagged and choked as her air supply was cut off! Her legs kicked and flopped about frantically as her hands grabbed onto Eve's legs to try to pry them apart while she thrashed about feverishly! She was in danger of walking into a qualifying match and losing before the one minute mark!

Hikaru wheezed and gaggged, her red face showing signs of pain. She was already getting light headed as her arms tensed up with her putting everything she had into prying Eve's legs off her at least enough for her to breathe. Granted even then the pain was mounting quickly as well. Her thrashing and flopping about were also aimed to get the two closer to the ropes and if need be Hikaru would abandon her attempts to pry Eve's legs off in favor of trying to power the two of them into a roll to try to get to the ropes as Hikaru was already far behind and desperate in her final Apex qualifier....

Eve tried to lock Hikaru down. Had it have been later in the match up, perhaps she might have had a chance of hunkering down and potentially squeezing a submission from her opponent. As it was however, Hikaru was still very fresh, and full of fight and determination. Eve yelped out as she felt her body shift with Hikaru managing to roll the two. It put the girl in range of the ropes, though Eve was quick to try and counter, twisting her hips to try and force her away.

It worked... for a little bit of time at least, but such was Hikaru's determination that she could not stop her from reaching all the way after a few more seconds within the debilitating hold. She tried to squeeze tighter, but it was too late. Eve saw the vibration of the ropes and knew Hikaru had made it. The referee did not even get a chance to declare it, as Eve was very much an honourable wrestler. Aware of the rope break, she released the hold, unwrapping her dangerous legs from around Hikaru, allowing her freedom and a few precious seconds to regain her composure. Eve herself managed to deftly flip up to her feet, standing ready to tussle once more.

Hikaru was hurting and trying to get up. Eve was ready and waiting, as Hikaru was behind out the gate.

The yellow and black clad grappler tried again to move in and grapple hoping to this time go low pulling Eves legs out from underneath her! Hikaru would follow up dropping an elbow down on Eves thigh before grabbing and twisting her leg in a leg lock!

Eve yelped as Hikaru proved she was far from out of the game yet. It was clear the yellow and black clad wrestler was hurting after Eve's assault, but she was aware that she could not continue to take such an attack. Eve was taken off guard when Hikaru took out her legs, bringing her down skillfully towards the mat with a great take down. The two scrambled upon the surface, fighting for control, but it was Hikaru who would benefit this time.

Eve gasped out in alarm, finding her legs suddenly twisted and tangled in an impressive leg lock. She moaned out in pain, grasping at her own head as she writhed and bridged, realising she was in trouble all at once!

Hikaru got the leg lock secure, now it was time to wrench down! Hikaru groaned and leaned back, gritting her teeth as she put all the pressure she could into the hold to make it as effective as possible. Hikaru knew Eve was faster, more erratic and a better striker. Hikaru had to use holds and grapple with her as much as she could to keep the fight at a slow pace.

Attacking Eve's dangerous legs was a well calculated move. The longer she remained in the hold, the more damage this submission leg lock would inflict, and Eve's legs were probably her best weapon given the stylish kicks she could manage. She gasped out in pain, throwing her body back as she tried to endure. It was then she tried to look for the ropes, knowing that the only way out of this expertly applied hold would be to try and earn herself a rope break. Gritting her teeth, Eve tried to reach out, hoping she was close enough to snag that bottom rope and try and earn her freedom!

Hikaru pulled and wrenched down doing all she could to make the hold as painful as possible. It was effective but not effective enough, with Eve reaching out to grab the ropes! As soon as Hikaru heard the official call for a rope break she let go and backed off, letting Eve rise to her feet and reset to honor the rope break in full.

That last submission certainly did some work against Eve. She bit on her lower lip, still clearly in some discomfort after being subjected to such a leglock. She stood a little uneasy, favouring her leg, realising how quickly Hikaru was able to shift the momentum of the match. It was a powerful lesson not to become too overconfident!

Taking heed of her own advice, Eve put up her guard, looking more guarded overall as she carefully approached Hikaru. Hoping to catch the woman off guard, she would look to try and flip herself, showing off that deft athletism, hoping to catch Hikaru with a spinning wheel kick towards her chest area. The only issue was, it used a lot of leg power, and her movement was a little sluggish giving Hikaru a potential chance to counter as Eve's legs were still recovering from the submission hold!

Hikaru was circling and ready when Eve rose back up to her feet. She saw Eve move and she looked a bit hobbled so Hikaru took a step back and held her arms up! The kick still hit her guard and hurt but instead of being smashed in the chest and floored Hikaru was instead stumbling back with sore arms but up on her feet. She leaned back against the ropes and rushed back at Eve leaping up and aiming a retaliation dropkick at her chest as she counterattacked!

Eve could not recover quickly enough, seeing that her attack was blocked and not enough to bring Hikaru down! She managed to get back to her feet in time, but was not deft enough to raise a block as Hikaru sailed through the air in an impresive manner. Eve felt her body being thrown back as she was struck, the drop kick landing true against her chest before Eve collapsed onto her back! She gasped out, clutching at her chest, left winded as the air was struck from her lungs!
