Therapy session in the ring! Barbara Vs. Doc Fabulous

Barbara knew her ankle lock wouldn't be able to hold the doctor down for long. Her goal was only to wear the opposing blonde down a bit, tire her out as she struggled to break out of the hold. She expected the doctor to try and kick out, so when Doc Fabulous lifted herself up and tucked her head low for a roll, it caught Barbara off guard.

"Oh!" the idol gasped as she got dragged forwards. Stumbling a few steps, Barbara was able to catch herself just before faceplanting into the corner turnbuckle. That was a good move, she thought, making note of it in her mind to try if she was ever in the same situation in the future.

She spun around to face Doc Fabulous, only to receive a powerful blow to the bottom of her jaw as the good doctor sprang up to her feet and nailed her with a European Uppercut! Barbara saw stars as her head got snapped back, a bit of spittle flying from her mouth. Stumbling backwards, the idol's back hit the turnbuckle, her arms draped over the top ropes and hooking them to keep herself from slumping to the mats. The idol's head hung low, looking quite stunned after taking that sudden unexpected hit!

Doctor Fabulous was savvy enough to know when she should catch her opponents off guard, and this was one of those times. The European Uppercut caught Barbara flush in the chin and as the idol went back into the corner, Doc followed behind, resting her back against her opponent in the corner. Taking that moment, she gingerly kicked her leg out to help ease the pain of the ankle lock and spoke again. "Then again, reciprocation is key. Treat others how you want to be treated, but don't be a push-over," said Fabulous, musing to herself and also for Barbara's benefit.

Doc felt for the girl, but the match was a priority for her over her other job. This one has to take focus, and that meant bending, throwing, and hurting this girl until she got a win.

Then she turned, a big smile on her face, and she would then leap up and attempt to grab Barbara and fling her out of the corner with a monkey flip. However, she would modify that monkey flip so that she could hold one of Barbara's arms with the intent to roll through and drop in with a cross-armbar, hoping to cause more damage to Barbara's arm!

In a daze in the corner, Barbara was left completely open for Doc Fabulous to attack. The crowd watching expected the doctor to land a few hits on the idol's exposed body, maybe even punch her in that delightful belly window on her costume. Luckily for Barbara though, Doc Fabulous wasn't that kind of opponent. Instead, she grabbed Barbara, planted her feet in the idol's hips, and flipped her head over heels in a monkey flip! In her daze, Barbara wasn't even sure what happened until she landed hard on her back on the mats!

"Ooof!" Barbara groaned. She tried to roll over and get up, only to find her arm trapped in an armbar by the doctor!

"Ahh! G-ghhh!" Barbara grunted as her elbow got hyperextended painfully. She couldn't stay in this hold for long before submitting! As the doctor had locked her legs in, Barbara knew she couldn't just muscle her way out of this hold. Her best bet was to go for the ropes. Luckily they were close, as she didn't land that far outside the corner. Barbara twisted her body, shifting on the mats as she reached for the ropes with a hand and a foot, trying to get a rope break before Doc Fabulous broke her arm!

Doctor Fabulous always considered her matches a showcase, loving that aspect of it. And it also allowed her a platform to show off the training and unique technical offense she could provide. Her monkey flip transitioned to a cross-armbar had done the trick to show that off perfectly, as well as really cause her opponent some pain. Most didn't expect a transition like that, and Barbara was no different. Locking in that armbar tight, she made it extremely clear that there would be no simply breaking out.

"But... you seem to have a competitive spirit, at least. And I would recommend continuing to use that," said Doc Fab, continuing to torque that arm as Barbara got closer to the ropes. "And the fans will recognize that. Perhaps... let their validation drive you," mused the Doctor, holding on that arm until finally, Barbara got a foot on the ropes.

Release the hold after a moment, Doctor Fabulous got to one knee, smiling at her opponent. "I think you have greatness in you, Barbara," said the psychiatrist, instinctively going to pat Barbara's shoulder, but pulling back her hand beforehand. That probably wouldn't be appreciated right now. But she did at least stand and give Barbara room to stand and recover from the hold.

It was a struggle to get close to the ropes. Barbara was a bit smaller than Doc Fabulous, and though she was strong for a girl her size, dragging them both towards the ropes was a physical challenge. Still, the ropes were close by, and after a few moments of tugging and pulling Barbara was able to kick one ankle on top of the ropes and get the rope break.

"Hah... Hah..." Barbara panted as the doctor broke the hold. She sat up, one hand cradling her arm, soothing the pain from her hyperextended elbow. "My fans do recognize me," she replied to the doctor, "I know because I hear it from them every night I stream. They know I'm trying my best to deliver what they want." She reached out with her good arm towards the ropes, slowly pulling herself to her feet.

"Their validation is what drives me onwards to keep on trying my best!" Barbara said as she got her feet underneath her, "It's the best part of this job! So I'm not worried about that."

She pushed off the ropes, getting into a fighting stance. "But when I lose, I can feel them turning against me," Barbara said, "Not so much that they don't support me anymore, not like that. It's that I can tell they LIKE seeing me all beat up and defeated!"

The idol took a step in to lock up with the doctor once again. "I mean, how fucked up is that?" Barbara asked as she grappled with Doc Fabulous in a collar and elbow, "To have the people who support you tell you that they want to see you fucked silly in the middle of the ring? That's psychologically damaging, isn't it?"

Barbara transitioned from the grapple smoothly, trying her best not to give Doc Fabulous a chance to make her own move. She spun to the side, her arms shooting up to try and tangle the doctor's up from behind, trapping them against her own as she tried to lock in a half nelson, trapping and working over one of the doctor's arms, shoulder and neck.

As Doc Fab allowed Barbara her opportunity to recover, she got prepared herself for the upcoming grapple. And soon, Barbara had caught and tied her up in a Half Nelson from behind, making the Doctor grunt in pain, trying to resist the hold. In the meantime, her mind was split between responding to Barbara and finding her way out of the hold. "Well... of course it is. And it's something you need to come to terms with, Barbara. This is the league you're in and you know that... there is often that possibility," explained Fabulous, pausing a beat and letting out another groan of pain.

Then, she would turn her hand, pressing it against Barbara's chest. "The only thing to do is... get better. Be better. Wrestle better. Lose less. Make them a fan of your success than your failures. That's something I know you're fully capable of," continued Doc Fab, knowing exactly the counter for this submission hold--she had studied entirely too much of it.

After another moment, the psychiatrist would reach for Barbara's closest foot with one leg and then pull on it as she pushed on the Idol's chest, taking her down to the mat and dislodging herself from the hold as well. Then, the Doctor would attempt to leap up and come down with an elbow drop, aiming for Barbara's chest and hoping to keep her down!

Barbara nodded along, understanding what the doctor was saying. It was hard to accept though, as that's was what people had always told her. Be better, try harder, become stronger. Yet always it seemed like it was never enough. From her childhood she was always compared with someone better than her, and she always came up short. That left a gaping hole of inadequacy in her being that she tried to fill with all sorts of things, but she never found anything that could quite fill it. Being a wrestler here at LAW was just the next thing, and it seemed like she was falling into the same trap of being inadequate again.

"That's easy to say, when you're not the one having to put in all the work," Barbara said as she continued to work on Doc Fabulous in the half nelson. She held on a bit too long though giving the doctor time to twist out of the hold and reverse it into a counterattack to hit Barbara with!

"Uwah!" Barbara gasped as she fell backwards, landing on the mat with a thud. She groaned, rubbing her head, but before she could even react Doc Fabulous was coming down with another big hit! "GUH!" Barbara's eyes widened as the good doctor's elbow drove into her chest, the point impacting her sternum and knocking the air from her lungs. Barbara rolled onto her side, both hands clutching her aching chest as she gasped for air.

"See... It's stuff like that... That I don't like!" Barbara said between gasps. She was starting to get frustrated at Doc Fabulous. Maybe getting therapy while beating each other up in the ring wasn't such a good idea.

Doctor Fabulous was able to seamlessly counter that hold, and then soon after follow up with a firm elbow drop to her opponent's chest. It seemed elementary to Doc Fab as she sat right back up. Although, with what Barbara was saying, it was easier for her to want to plant an elbow deep in the girl's chest. It was that sort of talk and judgment towards her that she didn't enjoy.

And so, Fabulous was a lot less gentle when it came to lifting up her opponent this time, roughly grabbing her and forcing her to sit up. "Nothing good in life comes easy, Barbara," said the Doctor, a more stern tone to her voice. She would then lock in a Shoulder Lock, then immediately torque it in. "I'm not on the clock now, so let me inform you about putting in the work."

She would then thrash Barbara while she kept her in the hold. "Because I studied my ass off in order to get good grades in high school, to college, to masters, to doctorate," stated Fab tersely, yanking on her trapped opponent again. "And I sacrificed a hell of a lot to get there. And I still made time to learn professional wrestling. Moves, holds, gym routines, training. Do you have any idea how much sleep I got? I would operate on two hours of sleep sometimes."

Then, the Doctor ripped the Shoulder Lock even more tightly, tone becoming a lot more firm. "So if you think you'd worked as hard as you could, work harder. And if you worked your hardest and you're still not happy, then change it up. But putting down the work of others won't make you any more successful." And with that, Fabulous was content to keep the hold locked in still, holding her opponent there.

Barbara was still coughing from the elbow drop to her chest when Doc Fabulous lifted her up to a seated position. "Nyaaa!" she let out a cute cry of pain as the good doctor wrenched her arm back, torquing it painfully in a shoulder lock. Her free hand instinctively went to her hurting shoulder, grabbing onto it as she tried to torque her way out. Doc Fabulous didn't give Barbara any chance to speak this time, tossing her body from side to side in the shoulder lock, maintaining her grip as she put more and more pressure on Barbara's arm and shoulder. The idol's cries of pain became louder and louder as she got thrown around. It seemed whatever she had said before touched a nerve, as the doctor wasn't showing any of the mercy from before!

"Haaaaaaah! Owwwww!" Barbara groaned. "I wasn't... Nghaaaa... Putting down anyone else's work!" Barbara said, turning her head to speak to her opponent through gritted teeth, "You make it sound like... Aaaahhh... You're the only one who worked hard... Gaaah..."

The idol began to slowly get her feet under her. "All you had to compare to... Ahh... Was yourself!" Barbara said, slowly pushing up against the shoulder lock to get onto her knees. "Did anyone... Ahh... Tell you you're not good enough? Did anyone ever say.. Aaaah... That you'll always be a failure?"

She turned her head some more to look Doc Fabulous in her blue eyes. "Did anyone ever tell you things would be better off if you hadn't been born?" With that question in the air, Barbara made her move to break free. She kicked back with one leg, trying to nail Doc Fabulous hard right in between her legs! Sure, it was a cheap shot, but Barbara had plenty of cover with the way both their bodies were obscured thanks to their close proximity. Even if the referee caught her and reprimanded her, it sure beat enduring this agonizing shoulder lock for any longer!

Doc Fabulous continued to keep her hold locked in, slowly rising with Barbara to maintain the hold while she took the time to hear her out. She felt a measure of sympathy for the girl. It wasn't an envious position to be in, and Fabulous hadn't quite had it quite as bad in terms of being denigrated. Surely, it was something that they could work through. She was already rolling thoughts through her head to help ease the Idol's worries and give her proper advice to work through.

That is, until a low blow came, striking her between the legs into her pelvis hard. "Ah!" gasped Doc Fabulous out loud, mouth wide-opened as she released the hold and her legs crumpled underneath her. She held her wounded crotch, gritting her teeth and using her free hand to prop herself up as she sat on the mat.

Soon, all sympathy she had for her fluttered away in that moment as she looked up, briefly glaring at Barbara before she closed her eyes tight, trying to cope with the low blow that caught her completely off-guard. For as nice as Doc Fab was in this match, it would take a lot more for her to keep up any measure of kindness she had now.
