The Dominion (Derek Young) vs. Belinda Northman- The Gauntlet Part 1

Derek Young (left)

The Dominion, consisting of Derek Young, Jacob Masters and Trent Master were a trio of promising male wrestlers with the goal to be the best stable in LAW. Individually, Trent Masters was the best out of the two but Jacob and Derek were also believed to have great potential as wrestlers. The Dominion just didn't plan to grow as a faction but individually they had goals to become the best wrestlers in LAW as well. Tonight, Derek Young was scheduled for a one on one pro wrestling match against a promising young wrestler, much like himself. Her name was Belinda Northman, a relative new comer at LAW but one that had impressed the LAW crowd with her impressive wrestling ability.

Derek Young was more than confident that he could beat Belinda and prove that he was the better young wrestler with more potential to go on to be one of the best. Jacob and Trent were not worried about Derek losing to Belinda, seeing that she was a new comer as well. They had decided to let Derek go on and test his luck for himself.

The young male would change into his classic Dominion attire, consisting of a pair of blue wrestling briefs and matching boots and elbow pads. He would stand behind the curtains that lead to the arena and when the Dominion theme cued, he would make his way out to the LAW wrestling arena. He was focused, determined and ready to face Belinda. He would slap his cheeks lightly whilst making his way to the ring, rolling inside it from under the bottom ring ropes before quickly getting back up on his feet.

The Protege aka Derek Young, would then sprint to the ring ropes and bounce off them, doing a small lap in the ring to pump himself up before standing in the middle of the ring and doing some light warm-ups and stretches while waiting for his opponent.

Belinda Northman

Belinda hadn't been in too many mixed matches so far, she could count the number of them on one hand pre-LAW that was, though now in the early goings of her career in this crazy place she was being thrust into one right off the bat. While not her first match in LAW she hadn't seen a mixed match being on the agenda as one of her first few matches. The wrestler she was set up against tonight was one by the name of Derek Young, she didn't know a whole lot about him besides that he was a part of a trio. A prospect that did interest Belinda quite a bit.

Not long after the Dominion member had made his way down to the ring and rolled into the squared circle did Belinda's theme hit the speakers and with it the blond stepped out onto the ramp. Her hood up as she heard the cheers of the crowd, taking to a run as she made her way down towards. As she closed in she would jump up and dive through the ropes, rolling up into the ring on one knee in a smooth and well practiced manner as she entered the ring. She would rise and head to the furthest away corner and climb onto the middle ropes, raising her arms up to get a pop from the crowd, as she would then pull her arms down to pull her hood down, turning around and dropping down onto her feet as she would walk up towards the center of the ring.

Turning to look on at Derek Young, as she would place on hand on her hip and wait for him to walk up towards the center of the ring to meet her. A smile on her face, Belinda would offer a handshake should Derek come and meet with her.

Once inside the ring, the young protege of Trent Masters would take his place in the corner of the ring and awaited for his opponent to make her way into the ring. He didn't have to wait long as Belinda Northman soon made her presence known to the LAW faithful. She would make her into the arena and the fans did offer her a nice pop. She was dressed in a yellow two piece, a bright and colourful choice which was no doubt to suit her personality perhaps. Derek would patiently wait for her to be done with her match entrance and while he waited he continued to do his pre-match warmups and stretches to limber up properly before he would be wrestling this woman.

The blonde would hop down from top ropes and bring her hoodie down before turning to face her male opponent and made her way to the middle of the ring. Derek would look on with a neutral expression before slowly walking towards the middle of the ring. He and Belinda would stare each other down in a face to face, classic wrestler's staredown. Whilst Belinda had her hand extended for a shake, Derek was not interested in shaking her hand just yet.

"No need for this just yet. Maybe after I beat you, then we shake on it" he said, still standing infront of her before taking a step further and bump heads.

Belinda would tilt her head to the side as she noticed how Derek didn't seem to interested in accepting her handshake, instead her would tell her outright that after he'd beaten her they could shake on it. The blond would blink a few times as she looked on at him as he then moved in and bumped his forehead against hers.

The blond would remain standing and firmly so as Derek pressed against her. " Hmm...in that case I guess we won't be shaking hands then." Belinda teased as she would smile towards him. When the referee came in between them and would try to separate the two fighters. So that she could call for the bell and start the match, Belinda would back up a couple of steps without any worry from the referee, raising her arms up as she would wait for the bell and for a chance to begin this match.

When the bell rung though, she would try and dart in towards Derek and aimed to go in for a running forearm strike to the side of his head.

The Dominion were not here to make friends, they had one mission which was to conqueror the intergender division of LAW. To them, the only friends they needed were those part of Dominion and everyone else was considered an enemy. For this reason, Derek was not interested in the handshake that she would offer. Belinda would tilt her head after hearing that response before her personal space was invaded by the confident man in blue. She would stand her ground, still smiling at his face before outright stating they wouldn't be shaking hands at all, implying that he wont be winning.

Derek would remain stoic at that remark, figuring it was best the two would let their action rather than their words do the talking and it seemed Belinda had the same in mind. When the two backed up at the referee's orders, Derek was itching to get his hands on her. When the bell rang both young wrestlers lunged into each other and Belinda would smack the side of his head with a forearm strike.

"Urgh!" he cried in pain before going for a forearm strike of his own at her face, and another as the two would engage in a slug-fest of forearm strike exchange to see who would falter first.

Nailing Derek in the side of the head with that forearm strike, snapping his head to the side as she would ready another one, but before she could to that Derek decided to fire back at Belinda with a forearm strike of her own! Grunting out as she was hit and her head snapped to the side. She grit her teeth and turned right back to Derek as she would give him a bit of a glare.

Pulling her arm back she would seek to fire right back at Derek with a forearm strike, before she'd try and send another and another. Trying to match Derek blow for blow as she intended to strike hard and true and hopefully come out on top in this early forearm slugfest of theirs!

Derek was a bit surprised from the power that Belinda had packed from that forearm strike. Clearly Belinda was not someone to be taking lightly and just by landing one strike to his face, Derek was aware of how badly she could embarrass the youngest member of the Dominion if he was not careful. Looking to pay her back, Derek would lunge in and strike her face with a forearm strike of his own which send her staggering back. Belinda would turn her head back to Derek, glaring at the determined young man.

She would then pull her arm back and right a successive forearm strikes to his face while Derek would do the same. However, it was Derek who was seeming to tire out first as he started to take a couple of steps back. "Urghh, oww" he groaned. Not wanting to be embarrassed by being pushed into the corner in this slugfest, he attempted to break it up by bringing his knee up into her abs to stop her dead in her tracks.

If that would, he would grab her arm and whip her into the corner before sprinting towards her with his body bent, looking to drive his shoulder into her abs.

The two combatants continued to launch forearm strikes into one another over and over again, smacking their arms into the other's face, it seemed as an even bout...until it didn't, Belinda continued to hammer and hammer as Derek weakened and staggered back, but what came next was the knee of Derek driving right into her well toned abs!

" Guuh!" Belinda grunted out in pain as she would hunch forward and cough out in pain, not only did he hit her with that knee but the youngest member of the Dominion soon enough grab her by her arm and whip her over to the corner! Hitting the corner but she didn't have any reprieve for that, as Derek came rushing in and drove her shoulder straight into Belinda's abs, leaving her gasping and coughing as she slumped against the corner, arms draped over the top ropes to keep her upright.

Derek and Belinda would go at each other hard, trading blow for blow. Both of them were determined to see each other back down as they endured the forearm strike of each other. It seemed as if Belinda was going to win that trade-off until the young Derek decided to halt her progress by driving his knee into her abs, stopping her offence dead in her tracks. From there, the boy would grab her arm and whip her in the corner to trap her there whilst he approached her.

The youngest member of the Dominion would then drive his shoulder repeatedly into the abs of Belinda, leaving her winded out and slumped against the corner. She would, however, drape he arms over the top rope to keep her upright. Derek would snarl and grab her hair to pull her upwards just a bit before attempting a chest slap right across her breasts. If that worked, Derek would grab her arm and begin to whip her into the opposite corner and follow her attempting a body splash in the corner.

Belinda grunted as she hit the corner, arms draped over the ropes as she shook her head. That surprise knee strike had really opened up a window for Derek Young to take advantage off and he sure did. It didn't take long before Derek decided to move in and drive his shoulder into her abs, each time caused Belinda's body to shift upwards against the corner, driving more and more air out of her lungs as he tenderized her abs early on.

When she was winded, Derek decided to grab a hold of her hair and pull her up to a full stand before she would suddenly feel a sharp pain across her chest at that slap hit, audible enough for the crowd to hear and wince out in sympathy for the young blonde. Then suddenly she was whipped over towards the other corner! Hitting it back first as Derek came running towards her. Belinda would try and quickly throw herself out of the way though, trying to have Derek hit the corner chest first as he went in for that body splash! If she managed to duck out of the way, she'd try and slip in behind him, aiming to snap her arms around that waist and pull him away from the corner, enough so that she could try and then swing him backwards with a German Suplex! Trying to nail him shoulders first into the canvas and go for an early bridging pin!
