Quoth the Raven Nevermore: Abby Cox vs "La Parca" Maria Castillo (IM MATCH LOG)

Maria have a roll of her neck, cracking and popping the bones to give the luchadora even a momentary feeling of relaxation. Her career had seen a sudden Spike with her introduction into law, and no matter who was up against her, Maria managed to pull off a victory after victory. It seemed that the long-awaited resurrection of her career was finally hitting its stride, and inwardly she could do nothing but smile.

She heard she would be up against another rookie in the women's division, but she didn't hear any further than that. She preferred to let her opponent surprise her, which would bring out the best in Maria, and in turn bring out the best in her opponent, no matter the outcome. Rolling into the rain, she began stretching her Limbs and looked up the ramp to see who she would be facing next



Abby lets out a sigh as she sat in the back adjusting her headgear. So things didn’t start out well for her, but nonetheless she was not going to let that hold her back. She was going to go into this match at full gear. Today she was facing off against a veteran in the wrestling business but that would not deter her, she was going to get her first win here in LAW tonight!



Abby’s theme would start to play loudly in the arena as she rushed out onto the stage with a big smile on her face. She waves out to the crowd and jumped up into the air. Excited for her match. Once she was down the ramp she would climb into the ring and stretch out a bit. She would approach Maria with a smile on her face as she then extends her hand to Maria. “It is an honor to meet you La Parca!” Abby said enthusiastically as she waited for Maria to shake her hand.




Maria extended her hand silently, gifting a sign of sportsmanship to the younger woman. No doubt this match would end quickly, but that was not going to affect her sense of honor and sportsmanship.

With the referee checking the two for weapons, Maria slowly backed herself into her own corner, waiting for the Bell to start. She bent down, adjusting her knee pads and arm guards, before reaching up to make sure her mask was tug and wrapped tight around her face. The ref looked to each of them before calling for the Bell.

The moment the Bell clang three times, Maria burst from the corner, sliding low under Abby's guard and looking to wrench her leg back to go for a quick ankle lock!



Abby smiled but as Maria remained silent it would seem she was not one for talking. But at the very least she would also extend her hand out to Abby and shakes her hand. She was happy that Maria believed in sportsmanship at the very least

Abby blushed as the ref would check them for weapons, but as she finished Abby would turn towards her corner and then back to face Maria. Abby looked excited as she started hopping in place as she moved into position ready to launch herself towards Maria once the bell would ring.


The bell finally ring and Abby would charge out of the corner looking to lock up with Maira but Maria would slide down trying to go for her leg. Abby knew this much and decided to defend herself by sprawling on top of Maria. Forcing her head to the mat a bit. Abby didn’t know if it connected fully but she was at least safe from the early submission attempt.



it seemed that the rookie at least out of knowledge of the basics, falling on top of Maria and forcing her head into the canvas. Grunting with exertion, she tried to roll the pair over to get herself free, making sure to keep a level head. She knew the moment she panicked just a moment she would lose.
Managing to scamper to the side, she rolled to her feet, running forward to deliver a seated senton onto the prone Abby!







Abby would smirk as she kept Maria from taking her leg, Abby would smile as she gave her first bit of defense in. This was amazing. But before she could do anything she would be rolled along with Maria as she fell to her side she was slower to get up than Maria. Abby looked wide eyed as sat up and would actually catch Maria mid senton and lifts her up into the air as she stood up. Abby lets out a loud battle cry as she would try to slam Maria back down to the mat with a sitout powerbomb!






Maria's Silver Eyes widened as she was caught mid leap by her opponent. Struggling to nail abby with a series of forearms! One sudden lift would bring her high up, before was crashed back down in a powerbomb, momentarily winded as her limbs flopped above her head





Abby’s green eyes widened as she was surprised, what just happened? How did she do that? That had to be pure instinct! There was no way Abby has ever been able to do that before! As she slammed Maria back down onto the mat she stands up and grabs Maria by the back of her neck and brings her up to her feet. Dragging Maria into the corner she smiles as she back up and rushes toward Maria and lifts her foot leg up as if she was about to nail Maria in the face with a super kick, hopefully this would fool Maria and she would shout, “JUST KIDDING!” And instead of her launching her foot to Maria’s head she would go to kick Maria in her chest and if it connected bouncing off of the corner Maria would fall into a sitting position in the corner.





Maria's hands weakly scrambled to cling onto some handheld, with Abby slowly dragging her up to shaky feet. Thrown into the corner, the luchadora looked up with a dazed expression, just as her opponent came within a hair's breadth of kicking her in the face.

Then to Maria surprise, the kick never came. She stared at abby as she screamed out to the audience before the heavy boots slammed into her chest, making her ribs audibly pop from the Sudden Impact. With all the air driven from her lungs, the luchadora crumpled to a sitting position, her head resting against the back turnbuckle Pad.



Abby couldn’t believe it! She did it! One of her favorite moves and she was able to pull it off without any issues! She points up to the air and smacks her butt as she walks over to the turnbuckle on the other side. This was it this was her moment! She would take off running towards Maria.


Once she was getting closer to the latina Abby would throw her body over trying to land a cannonball on the downed luchadora. If it would connect Abby would throw Maria towards the center of the ring and sit her butt down on Maria’s face trying to go for a quick pin.



The maneuver crushed Maria's torso, forcing her down on her back clutching her chest, even as she was tossed to the center of the Ring. Her eyes glazed over, looking up at the lights before Abby plopped her ear down on her face as the ref slid over.

"One.....two...."she called, before Maria suddenly bucked, kicking out of the pin, much to the shock of the crowd!



Abby looks at the referee while she starts her count. For the first time Abby is actually getting the count of a pinfall, and it wasn’t against helfself! One! The excitement on Abby’s face grows wider as the hand met with the mat. Two! There it is a second time! This was it! Abby is going to win her first match, but before the referee could count the third second Maria would buck!

The buck pushing Abby off of Maria’s face, landing face down, ass up in between Maria’s legs! What happened?! She was down! There was no way that she could’ve kicked out! What just happened?! Abby thought to herself instead of trying to stand up with big round ass now in front of Maria’s face.


Maria shook her head, trying to clear the cobwebs from her vision, but the Target in front of her was too good of an opportunity to pass up. With both hands, she shoved Abby forward toward the ropes. Springing up to her feet, she waited for her opponent to rebound and fly towards her, bending low in an attempt to scoop up the rookie on to her shoulders!




Abby tried to get back into the match but before she could Maria already had a plan as she pushed Abby towards the ropes. Abby bounces off the ropes heading back towards Maria who already sprung up to her feet. After rebounding towards Maria, Maria would go ahead and scoops up Abby and is now on Maria’s shoulders!




Maria trembled under the weight of the rookie, her bad leg shaking slightly in her brace. It was nothing she couldn't handle, but it would definitely help to get it looked at later in the future. While she may be in good form, she was far from perfect.
With a loud war-cry she tossed Abby up and then brought her crashing down, her knee lifting up to strike Abby in the skull with her GTS, which she dubbed the kiss of the Reaper.





Abby started trying to shake herself free but there was nothing that she could do. Maria had her up and soon would be tossed by the shouting Maria and just like that Abby was knocked out cold by Maria’s Kiss of the Reaper. With a loud thud Abby would drop down to the mat unconscious, spread eagle, in the middle of the ring. There was no fight left in poor Abby.





Maria fell alongside Abby, and with one smooth motion, hook the leg tour the arena lights. The ref slid back in expertly, slapping her hand against the canvas and Counting out loud for everyone to hear.

“One..... Two....... Three!!!!”





Abby was out for the whole three count, Abby remained downed even after the pinfall. Abby was once again embarrassed in front of the crowd, one move was all it took to take Abby down. Even after her onslaught that she didn’t know she had in her she couldn’t recover, The ref rushes to the side of Abby, checking to see if Abby was at least breathing. Luckily she was but she already had a bruise starting to form where Maria’s knee had hit her.





Maria took a moment to gather her breath, letting the crowd applauded her for yet another decisive win. Once that died down, she bent closer to try and Rouse Abby from her sudden knock out. A part of her felt a little bad for hitting her with full force, but she understood that in this ring you played to win.






Abby would start to stir as she blinks she looks around and soon found herself in Maria's arms. As she did it suddenly Abby started forming tears in her eyes as she realized she lost again meaning she officially has started a losing streak. She tried her best to hold it back but soon the tears finally started to fall as she lays her head into Maria’s chest.






This sudden reaction took Maria by surprise, with the luchadora freezing as a be wept in her arms. It lasted for only a moment though, as she tightened her grip around the young woman and patted her back reassuringly. She had no words of comfort to offer, so instead relied on her actions to speak for her.





As Abby cried into Maria’s chest suddenly the lights in the arena would all go out. Abby’s crying would suddenly stop as it did Abby looks back and forth trying to see if she could see anything. But once the lights would come on Maria and Abby would find them surrounded by men and women masked wrestlers wearing black masks, black tops and bottoms, and black boots. Before Abby could say anything Abby was pulled away from Maria and tossed brutally out of the ring. The masked wrestlers would look back at Maria and stood still as if they were waiting for something. Then to cut through the silence, Nocturne in Blood started playing. A song all to familiar to Maria, it was the theme of the woman who almost ended her career, it was the theme of La Reine Corbeau! Just like that La Reine Corbeau would step out from backstage wearing her purple cape and to her side a tall woman and a slender but athletic man. Raven has arrived to LAW and it seems she has some unfinished business with Maria! La Reine Corbeau would soon lift up her hand as her theme would end and snaps her fingers! With that the masked wrestlers in the ring would swarm Maria attacking with various punches and kicks!


Maria barely had a moment to react, seeing her fated rival before the onslaught was,on her, with the masked men and women stomping at her injured leg and back, easily knocking her down! This continued for sometime before Dave and Tracer made their way to the ring, attempting to clear out as many as they could throw out of the ring!





As La Reine Corbeau’s minions attacked Maria weakening her injured leg and back, Maria’s students rushed down trying to save Maria but soon they are attacked on the ramp by La Reine Corbeau’s two students by her side. The tall woman would throw off her cloak and reveal herself to be Zarya! She quickly grabs Tracer by her hair and yanks Tracer’s head down hard onto the unforgiving steel ramp. If successful she would lift Tracer up onto her shoulders and slam her back down to the ramp with a devastating F-5 that she calls the Graviton Surge!While the man would throw off his cloak and reveal himself in being the newly required rookie Lie Ren! Ren would rush towards Dave and goes to kick Dave in the head with a devastating Buzzsaw Kick that he called Sakura Hurricane! As they would deal with Maria’s students Corbeau walks down to the ring taking off her cape and sliding into the ring. She walks over to Maria who was downed and stomps down on Maria’s hand and says, “So this is where you are hiding? La Parca thought she could get away? Didn’t she?”




Injured as she was, Tracer was easily scooped up onto the big woman's shoulder, her bandaged body soon brought down hard on the steel ramp, knocked out cold on impact. Dave turned to help, only to eat a nasty kick to the skull from the mystery man, collapsing on his back. In 2 moves, Maria's students were brought down!

Maria meanwhile struggled to even get on her hands and knees, Already beat down to the point of a blackout as those familiar boots stepped into her vision. Her fingers curled into fists, too angry to speak as her eyes,looked to Dave and Tracer





La Reine Corbeau gets her boot off of Maria’s hand and walks over to Maria’s injured leg and takes off her leg brace. Tossing it out of the ring, right into Zarya’s hands who brakes it by ripping it in half with her strength! La Reine Corbeau grabs Maria’s injured leg and says, “You should have stayed retired…” With that said La Reine Corbeau turns Maria onto her stomach and locks Maria’s injured leg into Corbeau’s finisher, the Calf Crusher. It looked like Corbeau really wanted to reinjure Maria’s leg!




Maria screamed, clutching at her leg with no hope in sight to save her! Not like this! It shouldn't end like this! She just had a fresh start! Why did it have to be her of all people to come back to haunt her!?




La Reine Corbeau held the hold in hearing Maria’s screams once again something that she has missed for years. But before she could fully reinjure Maria’s leg, Corbeau lets go of Maria’s leg and gives a evil smirk as she jumps up and curbstomps Maria’s head to the mat. She looks down at Maria and stands over top of her and looks at the crowd as she snaps her fingers again and the lights went out. But soon they would return and Corbeau, her students, and her minions were all gone. The only things left were the defeated forms of Maria's students, Abby, and Corbeau’s cape covering the beaten Maria. Then over the loudspeaker Corbeau’s voice would be heard saying, “Quoth the Raven….Nevermore….”
