Failure to communicate- Lex vs Amelia!

Unread post by SubtleRoar »

"You've got this! You're the man! You've annihilated anyone that's stepped up to you, and you won't let this momentum slip!" *Were the words The Silver Bullet used to motivate himself, given that his impending match was with yet another female. He had proven his worth against Marlee, a vivacious vixen that had caught his attention as of recent, and tonight would be a significant moment in his career. Given that he was perceived as a joke by the law community not that long ago, his string of successful fights aided him in putting him in the conversation of championship talk. However, he knew the road would be far more arduous than just fondling scantily-dressed females- He would need to unequivocally dominate the competition, which was something he would take great delight in. Before long, his name was called over the loudspeaker, and in a flash he finished throwing on his trademark attire and dashed down the hallway.* "Tonight is MY night!" *He firmly stated, bouncing on his alternating feet before his theme finally dropped.*

*Once his music began blasting from the speakers, Lex made his grandiose entrance, shifting himself sideways to strike his signature pose. Much to his bewilderment, it seemed as though he had developed a bit of a cult following.* "Sexy Lexy! Sexy Lexy!" *Could be heard reverberating throughout the crowd, which almost warmed his frigid heart towards the audience. Nevertheless, he began strutting down the ramp, casually discarding his coat before hopping over the top rope.* "Alright, whoever it is, they're going to feel the wrath of my pugilistic fists!" *He began rolling from side to side, getting a smidgen of shadowboxing in while he awaited the entrance of his punching bag for the evening.*

It had been a while since Amelia had last stepped into the ring. It would be the first time, however, that she would be in it with a man. That fact didn't particularly bother her all that much, but every new opponent always brought about unexpected circumstances. Amelia always thought rationally and calmly when it came to situations that were new and possibly frightening. This case was no different.

She opted to go alone tonight, rather than with her sisters. She felt it would help her get used to fighting alone every so once in a while. Plus, she knew they would come out in a flash if anything really bad were to happen.

Dressed in her pink two piece gear that left a decent portion of her body exposed, came up to the top of the ramp as the crowd turned to get a look at her. Cheers came up from the crowd as they remembered her performance in that tag match against the British Bunnies. It wasn't a deafening roar by any means, but the crowd wasn't quiet either. In a way, it felt good to be recognized. She was sure her sisters would appreciate that as well.

She calmly made her way to the ring, clapping any hands that reached out for her. She wasn't as high-energy as her stable-mates were, but no less a wrestler because of it.

She made it to the ring and ducked between the middle ropes. Once in the ring, she went over to her corner and turned to face her opponent for the night. She wasn't sure what to make of him. He seemed to be excited, which was all well and good. She just wanted a good match. She warmed her legs up a bit while she still had the time. They were going to be her main weapons in this match, after all.

"May the best wrestler win tonight," was the first thing she said to him. Polite and kind. That was her aim, at least before the brutality started.

*Lex was, unquestionably, intrigued by the supple specimen trotting towards the ring. While he continued to throw a random sequence of punches that kissed the air, he couldn't help but take the occasional glance in the inviting female's direction. As she apprehensively approached the ring, he was suddenly struck by a pang of chivalry, sitting against the center rope to grant her access to the arena.*

"Please, allow me~" *The Silver Bullet nodded in her direction, attempting to set the tone of the fight before it had officially begun. Despite his gentlemanly demeanor, Lex had every intention of delivering a knockout performance, pun definitely intended, to keep his impressive win streak preserved.*

*The audience knew better than to trust the duplicitous inventor, relentlessly berating his facetious offering.* "I certainly hope you're ready for a memorable evening~" *Lex returned towards the center of the ring, allowing the unmitigated noise of jeers fill the stadium.*

"Tonight's match is scheduled for one fall!"
*The announcer called out over the loudspeakers.* "Standing in the bronze trunks, weighing in at one hundred and forty pounds. Sexy Lex Dolph!" *The crowd was a confluence of hisses and adulation, while Lex condescendingly bowed towards his adoring fans!*

The girl in pink did not know what to make of his actions as he bent the ropes for her and attempted to do some sort of flirting with her. In fact, the flirting pretty much went over her head, in classic Amelia fashion. "R-right..."

Her opponent certainly seemed confident in his own abilities, which meant he probably had a lot lose. At least, that was all that she could guess from that little fact. It didn't really sway her one way or another. Satsuki had always taught her that the best kind of matches were ones that could be fought on fair grounds, evenly matched. If her opponent could give her a match like that, then that was all she could ask for. His show off demeanor was a little off-putting, though...

"And his opponent, in the pink two-piece, weighing one hundred and thirty-two pounds, and representing the Carnival Girls... Amelia Nagatoshi!"

Some more cheers rang up from the crowd as Amelia waved to them during her introduction. She wanted to make her sisters proud in this match, and the fans proud too. If they were kind enough to cheer for her, then she wanted to make sure they got the match they were hoping for.

With both introductions out of the way, Amelia got herself into a fighting stance and prepared herself for a fight. Now, all that was left was for the bell to ring.

*Glancing across the ring at his opposition, Amelia seemed ready for anything in her fighting form. Ever since she set foot inside the squared circle, she had this natural intrigue about her that caused Lex to remain invested in her- Perhaps it was her timid nature, or maybe he was envisioning all of the open areas across her body that he was going to pepper with blows once the match commenced. Regardless, Lex sunk into a casual pugilistic stance, traipsing towards the center of the ring, shooting Amelia a haughty stare while gesturing for her to come forward.*

"DING DING DING!" *The all too familiar noise sounded, signaling for the fight to begin. The Silver Bullet squandered no time in closing the distance between the two of them, before finally sending a right cross directly into her abdomen. The leathery fist had a decent amount of power behind it, but it was significantly less than what Lex was capable of producing.*

"First rule of fighting- Always keep your guard up."
*Lex chuckled to himself while attempting to drill Amelia's side with a stern fist to her stomach, making doubly sure that he had ample room to backpedal of things became a bit too dicey. He had enough faith in his own abilities to contend with the best of the best, but one could never be too careful around unfamiliar foes.*

As the bell rang, Amelia did her best to prepare herself for the coming onslaught, whatever that meant. She had put her hands up and was in a stance that kept her center of gravity low. However, that was not enough to prepare her for the jab to the gut that Lex unleashed on her.

"Urg!"

She clutched the side of her stomach a bit as she flinched, but did her best to shake it off. I need to win this, for my sisters!

She threw her back leg out in a crescent shape, towards Lex's head. It was a roundhouse kick, and her attempt at retaliation against him. She wasn't quite sure how to deal with the words he was telling her, but she knew that she would rather focus on the match than answering him.

*As his thunderous fist slams into its intended target, Lex could resist the urge to deride the sheepish female a little with some condescending banter.* "See? This is why it's impossible to compete with someone of my fighting acumen. However, I'll admit, you have an admirable amount of confidence for accepting my challenge. Either that, or you're incredibly foolish. I can't really determine which it is yet." *While recoiling his fist to try and torque his hips for a subsequent hook, he noticed something peculiar- While the vast majority of his adversaries would topple from a direct blow, Amelia seemed uncommonly sturdy, refusing to budge. As he pondered how this was even possible, he was suddenly struck by her retaliatory attack in the form of a shin to his skull!*

"Huh...GGGNHH!" *As the stunning shot connect with his unprotected dome, Lex felt himself stagger sideways, unable to comprehend how such a sloppy kick managed to sneak its way past his otherwise vigilant monitoring.* "Crap...alright, you're not bad." *He conceded, shaking off whatever lingering torpor he could while trying to refocus his efforts.* "But, not bad doesn't quite compare to the absolute best!" *He shouted while charging forward, attempting to lop Amelia's head off with a massive lariat!*

The pink-clad girl was a bit surprised that he was not able to protect himself against her kick. Still, she would not complain for any hit she could get. His focus on talking to her seemed like anything but a distraction for him, and she wanted to try taking advantage of that, if she could. Clearly, this man was oozing in confidence. Amelia understood how important it was to have something like that, but never understood the need to declare it to everyone else.

She got ready to follow up with another attack. Maybe a kick to the side of the body would be a good place to start? Or maybe some shin kicks? As she was coming to a decision, Lex came in with a massive move of his own: a lariat. The tall Carnival Girl couldn't dodge it in time.

"GOOHAH!"

His arm came flying in and connected straight with her neck, up-ending her and causing her to do a full flip before landing face-down on the canvas, coughing, wheezing, and stunned.

*With a vehement fury in his charge to try and reclaim his stolen pride, Lex managed to crash his forearm into Amelia's throat, which inadvertently caused the meek female to collapse against the canvas.* "Whoops. Didn't mean to overtake you so easily." *With a sliver of remorse in his voice, Lex wouldn't tarry on the feeling for too long, subsequently strutting towards her with a haughty strut in his step.* "I'll do you a favor and end this fight quickly to try and preserve what little dignity you have left."

*Clasping the fringes of her hair, The Silver Bullet pulled her up, both of them facing the same direction, as she became a makeshift shield for him against the crowd's relentless jeering. While it was never his intention to humiliate the girl in such an effortless fashion, Lex would gladly accept the accolade of being the one who ended her career prematurely!*

*However, before he had the opportunity to enact his brilliantly orchestrated plan, he spotted something that caught his full, undivided attention- Amelia's behind. It had a subtle curve to it, which was something he could appreciate, but wasn't afraid to pop in certain areas. In fact, it was as if her posterior had a hypnotic flare to it, causing Lex to remain temporarily sedentary!* "U..uhh..." *He stammered, frozen in place!*

The tall Carnival Girl was gasping for air right now, the coughing being loud and desperate. He had completely taken her by surprise. It was only natural that every opponent be different from the last, but Amelia had yet to really grasp on to what that truly meant.

He pulled her towards her feet, facing away from him. The crowd was none too happy with him thus far, which only showed how much Amelia had endeared herself to them in her last match.

She made it to her feet, bracing herself for what he had in store for her next. But then... nothing... Nothing happened! She wasn't sure what was going on and all, given how she was facing away from him. However, the lull period gave her enough time to shake off the cobwebs in her head.

She sent a solid backwards kick, aimed around the middle of his body, and then ran towards the ropes to bounce off of them.

Coming back, she would look to hit a massive running knee right to his chin! She was not as quick as her other sisters, but her moved were just as devastating. He would still be in real trouble if he didn't find a way to dodge this.
