Viper Hoshiwara vs. Pulse [D]

With Pulse still pulling on her, Viper had to wince from the discomfort, but she was still content to last it out regardless. She continued her efforts to shift her weight back and forth, hoping to disrupt her opponent's hold on her - and, little by little, that was taking effect. Viper could feel Clarissa's weight shift, and the pressure on her body ease just so slightly. That was all she needed.

From there, Viper would simply stay where she was, her motions abruptly ceasing as she lay flat on the canvas. Now that the hold had been weakened, not to mention with her own body acclimating to the situation, she wasn't dead-set on escaping any more. Such a tactic was a display of Viper's endurance and refusal to be moved as well as an unspoken taunt she was shooting at her foe. She wanted Clarissa to feel that her own efforts weren't working. That wasn't to say that statement would be true, as Viper still did feel the discomfort, as evidenced by the occasional groan, but she was hoping she might be able to bluff Clarissa this way, as well as forcing her to keep the hold locked in a little longer. That would put more fatigue on her body from maintaining the position - and that, in turn, would make her all the easier for Viper to have her way with.

Holding on to her submission, Pulse would find that once she managed to dislodge the doctor's grip enough, Viper would cease her struggling, laying flat on the mat and letting Pulse work her in the submission, feeling that she could take it! The doctor would give a few more tugs, but she knew that if the hold wasn't getting a submission now, she could keep it locked in forever and Viper wouldn't tap, so Clarissa would eventually release the submission, allowing Viper to fall flat to the mat!

"Alright, or you could just make this hard on both of us..." Pulse commented in a flat tone, turning and sitting down on Viper's back, this time looking to lock in a hold that would be a little harder to nullify! With that in mind, Pulse would try to grab both of Viper's arms and pull them back over her legs, before lacing her fingers under the green haired woman's chin, before wrenching back to lock in a tight camel clutch!

Viper had expected that her endurance would outlast Pulse's, and that the doctor would be forced to surrender the hold before she had done too much damage. But Clarissa seemed to be more confident in her ability to maintain a good grip than Viper had given her credit for, as when she eventually did drop Viper, it would be on her own accord, causing the green-haired girl to drop to the ground.

Groaning, Viper stuck her hands out, going to catch herself and brace her weight against the mat. She thought she could pull out - but the soreness she had been left with as a result of the hold caught up to her! Viper let out a pained hiss as she fell back to her stomach, leaving her open for just long enough for Clarissa to trap her arms with her legs and pull back on her chin! Already softened up from the Indian deathlock, Viper was in a hard spot here, and she couldn't hold it back any longer. She cried out in pain now, as Pulse was starting to have an effect on her!

With Viper having managed to stop her indian deathlock, at least enough to force Clarissa to switch holds, the doctor would continue to work at her foe as she took a seat on Viper's back and locked the girl's arms over her legs, before wrenching back on her chin! With a camel clutch locked in tight, it would seem that Pulse was finally managing to get after her foe, causing the green haired woman to cry out in pain as she was wrenched back, her spine being targeted in the hold!

"Oh, so that does hurt." Pulse commented as she wrenched back even harder on the camel clutch, really working her foe's back in an attempt to make up for the earlier beating she suffered!

Clarissa noted Viper's reaction to the camel clutch with a snide remark, one that the green-haired girl was hardly the most appreciative audience for. But she wasn't about to let it hold her back, either. Pulse had gotten what she had wanted, but now, Viper had to focus on getting out of this precarious position! She would acknowledge, however reluctantly, that she had let herself get cocky, and now her spine was paying for it. If she wanted to win this, she would need to get serious.

Gritting her teeth, Viper sucked in a breath, trying to stabilize herself through the pain she felt enough to carry herself onward. She reached out to claw on the canvas, doing her best to drag herself over to the ropes for her only hope of salvation!

With a firm grasp on her camel clutch, Clarissa was ready to bend Viper until she couldn't take it anymore, wrenching back hard on the girl's chin in order to really work the submission, knowing that her foe was feeling quite a great deal of pain right now! Still, despite the pain that she was obviously feeling, Viper would continue to struggle against Pulse, beginning to pull herself forwards towards the ropes, heading to them to try and break the camel clutch that Viper was none too keen on releasing!

Still, the doctor wouldn't release the hold just yet, wanting the green haired woman underneath her to expend all of her energy trying to escape the submission before she would stop it!

The pressure was mounting for Viper, with each passing moment putting more and more pressure on her back. She hissed with pain, tossing her head from side to side in her best efforts to resist, but Pulse was holding firm. Not even when Viper was fighting her way towards the ropes was she going to let go!

She continued to drag herself forward little by little, but the pain caught up to her, and Viper fell on her face just short of the ropes as she landed with a groan. But the last thing Viper wanted to do was to tap out. Not to someone like Clarissa; she didn't deserve that. Her teeth clenched, and Viper held out a trembling hand, going for the ropes in a last ditch effort to save herself!

With Pulse atop her back, wrenching hard at her chin, Viper was having quite a tough time dragging herself towards the ropes, which was all the better for the doctor, as she would really wrench hard on the submission hold to put as much strain as she could on her foe! Still, with a trembling hand, Viper would eventually reach out, extending herself just enough to be able to grasp the rope, earning herself a rope break and forcing Pulse to release the submission hold!

"What a drag..." Pulse grumbled as she was forced to stand up and let Viper go, taking a few steps back to allow the woman to get up, having to go back to square one!

Viper had to concede to one thing, if nothing else - Pulse had proven that she really had a good leg to stand on, if she could keep the green-haired woman on her metaphorical toes for this long. Viper had been stretched to her limit, and nearly faltered just short of the ropes. However, she managed to grab onto them nonetheless, and conceding to the ref's announcement, Clarissa stepped back off of her.

Slowly and stiffly, Viper pulled herself back up to her feet, using the ropes for support. Her back ached, and she stopped for a moment with a pained groan before she was fully back up, nursing the pain in her spine. It was enough to make the deathmatch veteran hiss through clenched teeth, but she eventually turned herself back around towards Pulse, with a hateful glare in her eye. She wasn't about to let herself be put down, and she had plenty to say about it! Even though she hadn't fully limbered back up, Viper was willing to ignore the pain, as she closed in to cover the distance, aiming to strike Clarissa square in the face with a hard punch!

Clarissa had let Viper return to her feet, and now with both women back up, things were able to begin again, Pulse's advantage having disappeared now that she had her submission broken! And it would become quite apparent as well, as the first thing Viper did now that she was up and moving again was close the distance between the two and throw a punch right to the doctor's face!

"Augh!" Pulse cried out as her head snapped backwards, the doctor unable to defend herself in time, leaving her stumbling backwards into the ropes after that quick shot!
