Asuka and Sarah vs. The Thundergirls

Unread post by Highfly »

Alaina and Tina were in the locker room silent. They had to take care of business tonight. Both were ashamed of their tag team humiliation vs. The Rebellion. For both the old veteran and rookie it was the worst loss of their respective careers.

Alaina felt like a failed comeback. A fossil who couldn't wrestle anymore. A failure who wasn't going to help Tina reach her potential at all.

Tina felt like a joke, a little fangiel who spent time in the gym and thought she could wrestle only to find out she was wasting the time of a hall of famer who tried to train her.

As their music played the team came out, high fiving fans bit without the usual energy. Both looked serious even though they obviously tried masking it by being laid back with the fans. As they climbed up into the ring the duo looked totally serious, quietly making their way over to their corner amid the fan fare, as they were still loved apparently even though the team and their solo careers all seemed on the skid. They stood at their corner looking up the ramp, eager to see who they were facing.

Asuka & Sarah weren't quite so silent in the locker room. Sarah helped Asuka into her outfit, having already finished changing into her own gear, while the two girls talked and giggled about things. Though Sarah's LAW record hadn't been anything special (hell, she'd barely even fought), Asuka's was very impressive, something that was surprising even to her given her lack of pre-LAW wrestling background.

Tonight was the first time Asuka was set to fight someone outside of her weight class, and she was looking forward to it, feeling pretty confident about things. Sarah had her usual friendly, calm, re-assuring demeanor, the kind that made you relax just for being in the same room as her. Her student hopped up to her feet excitedly once she was dressed and looked herself over the in the mirror, with Sarah putting an arm around the smaller girl's waist.

The sound of the Thundergirls' entrance vibrated through the walls of the LAW building, and let Asuka & Sarah know they were about to be called out. As expected, the knock at the door came a few seconds after the music stopped, and Asuka took Sarah by the hand to lead her out to the ring. Their entrance wasn't particularly flashy, they just walked down to the ring with big smiles, waving around at their fans.

When they got to the ring, Sarah waited on the outside while Asuka climbed in. Putting the lightweight in first was an interesting strategy, but Asuka's confidence easily made it seem like a clever, strategic decision rather than the result of her begging her tutor to be allowed to go first. "Kon'nichiwa!" she called out to her opponents.

The Thundergirls watched as their opponents came out. Alaina nodded to Tina who stepped through the ropes to the other side of the apron. The powerful amazon stepped up to Asuka, nodding and extending her hand. "Hello, let's have a good match."

Alaina said as the bell rang. She circled Asuka a moment then rushed right at her looking to bulldoze her with a clothesline!

Asuka was surprised, but strangely not disheartened, by the Thundergirls' decision to put their biggest fighter in first. Alaina was tall and strong and quick, but she was old by wrestling standards, almost as old as Asuka's own mother. Perhaps it would be a fair fight, but Asuka knew Alaina had been an absolute monster of a wrestler in her prime, and had a feeling those skills don't go away on any short order.

The big woman opened the match by charging at little Asuka with an arm outstretched, aiming to flatten her with a clothesline! Asuka ducked forwards and dashed under her opponent's arm to avoid it, and then spun around to face her, smiling in a friendly way, and with her hands up in front of her chest, ready to respond to Alaina's next attack.

Alaina swung and missed, stopping as quickly as she could to face Asuka again. Alaina groaned as she stormed forward again to try to reach put and grab hold of Asuka in a grapple!

This speedy woman was going to get caught eventually and it was up to Alaina to make every move count against Asuka whom had one of, if not the best records she knew of in LAW. Her small size was irrelevant to the amazon, her success told her everything she needed to know.

When Alaina came at her again, arms up to indicate that she meant to try for a grapple, Asuka decided she'd rather not go through with that. After all, Alaina was a monstrous 70 lb heavier than her, and towered more than half a foot taller. Trying to overpower that was a quick way to the hospital for someone as small as Asuka.

Instead, when Alaina came forwards, Asuka stepped forwards and threw a quick hook with her left hand up at the Amazon's belly, and then dart away again!

Alaina lunged forward and ended up catching a punch right to her jaw! She groaned and staggered a couple steps before recovering, staring at Asuka.

The amazon stepped in and sent a fast jab onto the abdomen of her small foe, trying to connect with something!

Tina watched in bewilderment as Alaina had utterly failed to even touch Asuka thus far! "Come on you got this! Catch her and break her!" Tina cheered as Alaina swung, hoping she could land something! If not, Tina would soon beckon for a tag...

Asuka's cheeks flushed red at the sound of Tina's yelled encouragements, looking over at the smaller, more energetic wrestler with a smirk. When she turned back to Alaina, she shrugged, "You're not really gonna break me, are you?" she asked, as innocent as ever, and then burst out with giggles, taking a few steps back to put a little gap between herself and the buff Amazon.

Alaina grinned and nodded at Asuka but remained focused. She swung a leg around trying to keep the aim low, attempting to bring her leg crashing against Asuka's side to keep slowing her down.

Alaina wanted to grab Asuka bit knew the nimble fighter would not be easy to catch. Alaina and to soften her up and keep her from bouncing all over.

A task much easier said than done.

Alaina went low to try and sweep Asuka's legs out from under her, but Asuka leapt up into the air. She didn't mean to avoid the sweep, she didn't even know it was coming, it was just her plan to go for a hurricanrana right now. Asuka leapt to the top rope, spun around quickly before she could lose her balance, and then jumped forwards to try and get her legs around Alaina's head, hoping to swing her weight backwards and flip the big woman over onto her back.
