Jessica Wright vs. Moonyoung Lee

Jessica was licking her wounds. She thought about how hard she could hit while she was wrapping her hands so that she could put her gloves on. Not hard enough. That was the only answer that she had ever come up with. As she slipped her gloves on, she wondered to herself if there would ever be enough victories, enough belts, enough anything to satisfy her near endless need to win victory after victory. She breathed in deeply through her nose. It was now a question of attaining that victory.

Moonyoung was a boxer. She knew that before she even started looking her up. It took a while to find this woman on LAW's roster page on the site, but she got her. And then Jessica started poring over her matches. Moonyoung had won a lot of matches, mostly by blasting the other woman with punches until she couldn't get up. The Violent Violet reckoned that she had a stronger chin than most of these women and proved it back in the gym, but she was aiming for something a little bit higher.

Moonyoung had embarrassed her by slapping her across the face. Moonyoung had embarrassed her by punching her over and over. Moonyoung had embarrassed her by defying her in the first place. That called out for vengeance, and Jessica was never one to just let things go. So when she got done wrapping her fists, she stood up. Jessica had watched the matches, put in the work at the gym once more. It was time to see if all that could pay off here and now.

She stood at the staging area, waiting for her song to come on. When it played she had both arms extended up. The Violent Violet was always irrationally confident, despite the fact that she had her ass handed to her earlier. She stepped into the ring, and stood right in the middle.

She had a puncher's chance, she reckoned.

Goodness gracious... Moonyoung said after recalling the time when her manager told her who she'd be fighting next. Because when she looked the girl up, the boxer recognized her immediately - It was the violet haired, not-so-subtle chick that she recently met in the gym and tutored in the ways of boxing. This meant that she either wanted another lesson, or this was for revenge. Well, that's a no brainer for the pinkette

Moonyoung was waiting for her turn to enter the ring and contemplating the situation while doing some basic warm up. If the chick was as ignorant as she made herself to be back then, then Moonyoung was confident that she could secure victory. Howver, if she learned something from their past encounter, then this could be a pretty damn difficult match. Moonyoung was still feeling the aftereffects of her previous matches, especially the one with Sammy...

After Moonyoung's music blasted through the speakers, Lee went down the ramp with a stoic expression on her face, looking straight at her opponent while giving some high-fives as she passed the crowds.
The Korean hopped onto the appron and stepped over the middle rope and into the ring. Normally, she'd go for a handshake, but she figured that it isn't gonna work out this time... Instead, she'd just take off her jacket, pass it over to the ref and go into her corner to wait for the bell to ring.

Jessica watched the boxer come down to the ramp. Her fists clenched. She had been waiting for this moment ever since their little encounter in the ring at the gym, and she was not going to let it go to waste. The Violent Violet had warmed up already in the locker room, but she could not resist the urge to bounce from foot to foot. There was a lot of tension within her, and it was going to come out in one way or another. And Jessica hoped that it would come out through Moonyoung.

"You're going to fucking die tonight," she snarled. As if she hadn't gotten a lot worse for the wear during their little interchange at the gym.

The second the bell rang, Jessica tore across the ring and got low. Baseball slide. There was no way she was going to get punched if she stayed as close to the mat as possible.

The moment Jessica spoke, it was obvious that she was a little angry over their little exercise at the gym. The death threat made Moonyoung a little uneasy, even though this wasn't the first time she received one. Are you planning to start a fight club in jail? Moonyoung made a witty comeback before the bell rang and the match was underway.

It seemed like there would be no careful observing of the opponent before they started throwing jabs. Instead, Jessica rushed at the boxer like a bull and Lee was taken aback a bit by the speed of her angry opponent. But that wasn't the only thing that surprised her, it was also the type of attack - a low slide. Ah! Jessica's foot caught one of Lee's legs and unbalanced her. Moonyoung fell, but she fell while kneeling and mounting her opponent. Lee would sit on Jessica's waist and start peppering the woman with left and right punches to the face.

Jessica felt it connect. Her foot glided into its destination, and had the desired effect. Moonyoung came tumbling down, and Jessica began moving to capitalize on her newfound advantage. Only, something strange happened. Moonyoung came tumbling down, but the problem was that she was now right on top of her. The initial confusion meant that the first few strikes hit home but soon Jessica was defending herself, bringing her hands up to protect her face.

She was going to stay home alone for a bit. With her long legs, she would attempt to show some flexibility and kick her legs up. The Violent Violet attempted to hook her legs into Moonyoung's armpits and then flip her opponent off her. It would come from nowhere, given that it was behind Moonyoung as well.

With dropping down to mount Jessica, Moonyoung turned a potentially bad situation into a good one and was rewarded with a couple of free shots to Jessica's face. Lee felt like someone needed to teach this girl some respect, if not for her, then maybe for her fists at least.
Of course, soon the aggressive girl put up her defense and Moonyoung could only punch at Violet's arms, which she did over and over again until Lee was reminded that Violet had legs, too... Uuaah! Lee gasped as the legs grabbed onto her arms, not only preventing further punches, but also pushing her off Jessica.

Lee rolled backwards off Jessica and stopped herself on one knee. She gave Jessica a look for a moment before standing up and assuming her usual boxing stance. Pick your ass up so that I could put it down flat on the mat again. Moonyoung no longer had any intention on being or even acting nice to this woman. By now she knew that Violet would talk shit no matter what Lee did or didn't do.

Jessica was breathing a little bit easier now. There was no angry boxing girl sitting astride her, punching her in the face over and over, and she could not have been more grateful for that. She looked up to see that Moonyoung was content to keep her distance. It was nice to see that the immediate threat had been alleviated, but it still wasn't great. There was a green zone, where Moonyoung could not reach her with those lightning quick punches of hers. And there was another green zone, where their two bodies were touching and the impact of the punches would be vitiated because she could not fully extend. But in order to get to that green zone, she would have to traverse a red zone, and there was no telling what would happen there.

Before she even opened her mouth to retort, Jessica was on the move. She was going to stay nice and low this time, her back never rising above the level of the second rope that bounded the two combatants in the ring. Her line of vision similarly stayed low. Jessica did not know what sort of kicking power Moonyoung had, but she was in no mood to find out. Instead, she would test Moonyoung's base, throwing her body to the side and sending her legs around wide to try and sweep Moonyoung off her feet.

Moonyoung had said some meaty words, but this time it was more of a mind game than a complete confidence. Whoaa! Moonyoung's thought process was interrupted by a sweep kick that she leaped over and away from it, increasing the distance. Jessica's actions continued to confirm Lee's thoughts. This encounter was completely different from the one in the gym. Whether the violet girl learned something from the boxer or maybe she studied boxers and how to fight against them all this time, one thing was certain - she was clearly prepared this time.

For example, going for the legs or taking the boxer to the ground are pretty much the most effective tactics against boxers and Jessica was doing both at the same time. It's mostly because the rules don't really allow that in boxing. Only for her quick reactions and intense experience against various martial arts users kept her head in the game.
If Jessica fully realizes this (which she probably does), then it means that she currently has some sort of an advantage over the boxer, since even though Lee is relatively tall, Jessica is even taller, thus she has longer reach, therefore she controls the flow of battle.
Lee could try and counter with her own kicks, but she liked the idea of using her usual tactic of giving Jessica a false sense of security, making her believe that Moonyoung doesn't or can't use kicks.

All she could do now was to be cautious and wait for Jessica to make a mistake. This was no longer some punk that Lee was facing, this was the real deal now. Lee would keep her distance and her fists raised, waiting for an opportunity to use them.

Jessica's sweep came in hard and fast and without mercy. Moonyoung was able to melt away from it, dodging it deftly and getting clear of the Violent Violet. She completed her spin, looking up at the boxer with fire in her eyes. Her opponent was content to just dodge for now, keeping her distance for the time being. Jessica got up to her feet again. There were only so many steps that you could take back until you hit the ropes. Jessica was determined to make this woman take every last one of them.

She tilted at her opponent once more, this time staying low. Moonyoung was cautious, waiting until she found an opening that she could exploit, Jessica was thinking. The Violent Violet was going to be damned if she gave it to her. Her footfalls were heavy on the canvas as she rushed towards Moonyoung.

Jessica turned her body to the side once more. It would require a little ab strength and a lot of flexibility, but Jessica was as confident in herself as she ever was. She feinted another low sweep, only to pop up at the last second with an uppercut that was coming all the way from the mat. It seemed like Moonyoung figured herself fast. Time to see if she was fast enough to catch a bullet.

Moonyoung waited for her opponent to come and Jessica did just that, with loud steps, charging at the boxer. Lee was expecting the Violet to go low and it was just like she expected. ''Another sweep, huh?'' Lee thought as she hopped into the air to avoid being taken off her feet again, but this girl continued to surprise the boxer - this was a fakeout and Lee was suspended in the air while Jessica was already throwing a fucking shoryuuken at the Korean.

Lee saw the attack coming and could react, however, she could not avoid it because she was currently falling down straight into it, so blocking was the only option. That normally wouldn't be a big problem either - Lee was fast enough to react and put up her defense, she was also strong enough to stop it. However, this time, neither Lee's momentum, nor Jessica's were in the boxer's favor - Lee just caught the powerful uppercut in her arms, but Jessica's fist was still pushing upwards while she herself was coming down straight into it, meaning that the boxing champ ended up punching herself in the face, aided by Jessica's fist. Uagh!

This forced the boxer to step back and rebound off the ropes. If by this point Jessica did not follow up, Lee would step back in the punching range and unleash an onslaught of quick jabs. Half of them would be aimed at the face and another half would be aimed at the torso.
